I guess we’ll find out soon enough... that alex goldberg guy, as well as other lcfc accounts, are also hinting that the deal is done/about to be done... the reliable carefreeyouth also saying it’s possible the reports are true (I knows that’s not saying much lol) not sure he’d be worth that much but if lamps desperately wants him, I’m happy for us to sign him... there’s a reason he’s not in their squad even with so many injuries... He’s finished and would be a disaster in the PL with his severe lack of pace... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

reports that mertens is available for low fee (read 8.5M somewhere on twitter, who knows if it's true) because his contract runs out in summer and that us and arsenal are interested... wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to sell giroud, get mertens in until end of season to help us get top 4 and then hopefully make some big signings in summer like sancho and werner

the running track ruins it for me, apart from that very nice! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hope you're right and that all these decisions that seem bizarre (if they even do happen, might all be fake paper talk for all we know) are setting the ground for sancho signing in summer...
-
hey if Lmaps wants him, that's good enough for me (even if I don't think he will help us in any substantial way, I obviously trust Lamps' judgement more than mine when it comes to players) but if it's a club signing that lamps has no particular interest in, then it's ridiculous as this guy has been a total dud... Freshen up the squad, fine, but don't try freshening it up with a players who has looked horrible for months and months, that doesn't make sense to me... Whatever happens, I hope Lamps is calling the shots and if that's the case, we'll live with wtvr he decides and hope it works out for the best

lemar? ewww even on loan wouldn't want him... for what, so that he can take minutes away from development of CHO, pulisic and mount and then leave in the summer? Is he even better than pedro in any case? I don't think so... would be a horrible signing

this is getting a bit ridiculous, what is taking so long? have a feeling his agents/representation are the ones not making this easy...
-
meltdown would be much worse should it be benitez (I know, it won't be), at least jose is a chelsea man (much more so than fsw at least lol)
-
it's BS, Matt Law all but confirmed it won't be happening

just read that apparently gracia is under consideration but is not the main target... pheww This maybe a view tinted by our 2004-2012 glory days but my preferred choices, of the rumors floating around, are: 1. Lamps and Jody 2. Jose with JT (very unlikely but who knows in football) 3. Allegri 4. Steve Holland 5. Epirito Santo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This is a major clustfvck if indeed sarri leaves... the only reason I'd be OK with it is if sarri wants out himself. However if Lamps comes in, galvanizes our super talented academy graduates and re-instills the chelsea mentality of our golden 2004-2012 years into the club and Cech ends up being an astute operator in his role, this could end up being a sort of blessing in disguise. The only worry I see is that Lamps would have to start out his managerial career by not signing any players for the first two windows
-
I guess the argument would be that that someone at the club leaked all this..

interesting points and I tend to agree.... what we need is not necessarily to stop sacking managers but rather have a DoF in place who actually has a strategy and plan for our transfers, and who can influence the type of managers we get, so that they fit with the overall type of player we would be buying... right now, who knows who is deciding what players to buy and what managers to sign, there is no comprehensive strategy as far as I can see. We need to have a DoF who plans ahead and lays the foundation for future managers to succeed by having a clear idea of what type of football we want to play and for those types of players to already be at the club when new managers come in... This summer we made a mess of Sarri negotiations, a manager who the club seemingly decided to go for that summer or not long before the summer, and we were left with a few weeks at the very end of the summer to try to get players in that he would need and that would fit his style... just bad planning and it needs to be fixed

4-0 bournemouth, 6-0 city, 2-0 MU and other such results are seriously damaging our reputation of being a top club in England. He has to go... simple as.
-
if we're gonna sack him, it better be today or tomorrow... what's the point of waiting to be whooped by city and spurs, and maybe even crashing out of EL, to sack him?
-
Matt Law also suggesting Real will be in for him this summer.... I hope the club is planning for him leaving and how to reshape the team because from these reports, the things Hazard has been saying recently, our form and the mood around the club, I think the most probable scenario is that Real will bid, Eden will respectfully ask to go and we will grant him that wish. I may be wrong but this is how I see it playing out, hope I'm wrong :/

as much as I'd like to dig out the club about taking their time on this... I honestly don't even know which would be better of the current options that are reported to be on the table: - buy paredes, re-sign kovacic - buy barella, don't re-sign kovacic, promote mount - buy no one, re-sign kovacic, promote mount If I was the board and wasn't sure on the best course of action, I'd just ask Sarri what he'd prefer and go for that but knowing our board, that's unlikely

we need to start a #FireMarina hashtag ASAP

after 6 years willian barely speaks a word of English lol, weak argument. Especially considering Costa was a beast for us and couldnt speak a word of English... Also, using your logic, anyone who plays regularly for a team is automatically important to the team... that's flawed logic imo. If we were to use that logic, we would never sell anyone from starting XI which is a silly notion... Bottom line is that his performances have been horrible for a while and getting rid of him, in and of itself, would be beneficial to the team. Anyways that's just my opinion
-
Performances are literally the only thing relevant in this discussion lol
-
what I posted of course relies on CHO staying on at least til summer... If that is in fact the case, CHO getting willian's minutes could make him reconsider leaving even! I'm not against buying a replacement, but I'd love to see Willian go regardless (unless CHO leaves this january, then we need at least one)
