how so? he almost never scores, almost never assists, is holding back CHO, isn't a lockerroom leader, rarely affects games positivily despite always starting... how is he a big player for chelsea?
-
still worth it
-
even if we get no one in return, I'd much rather have CHO taking willian's minutes... Selling Willian is a win-win in any scenario, he is wrong side of 30, almost never score or assists but still starts every game, is holding back younger better players.... Malcom is just a bonus as far as I'm concerned, getting rid of Willian is the real prize lol

if they reject this someone needs to be sacked ASAP
-
lol no shit, getting messi would be even better but it aint happening

Funny tweet by "French Blues" on twitter: the tweet basically says: If all this news is true, hard to understand which is more shocking: that barca still want willian, even after his horrible six months since the summer OR the idea that we might reject their offer yet again.
-
I got so excited at the prospect of him leaving I didn't even click to see who the supposed player barca are offering is lmao But seriously, this story might be complete bs but if someone does offer us anything north of 30M, let's bite their hand off!

can you post the link? can't find it

It was reported earlier that Marina was against the Higuain signing and Sarri was for it... With this latest news from the usually reliable Telegraph stating that we are now negotiating for him, does it mean that a manager finally managed to make a breakthrough with our board and Marina and made them understand that the manager probably knows better what the team needs?... Hope that's the case and that going forward Sarri's wishes will be taken into account more. If Sarri wants Higuain I'm all for it!

Giroud says about Fekir: "yeah sure we spoke during our time with the French NT, during the time his proposed move to liverpool was being concluded but then it fell apart and it was then about Chelsea from that point. Even Eden I think spoke a few word to Fekir that we would embrace him with open arms. He's an amazing player so naturally we would gladly welcome him. However I don't know if it's on the cards as the transfer window closes on Thursday"

Morata played for real because he is an academy product, of course they're gonna play him if he's good enough.... I wasn't talking about players real formed in their academy, I'm talking about the transfer targets they go for which are usually only top class... If they were ready to make Kepa their #1 as all reports suggest (only zidane stopped the move because he preferred to keep Navas for his last CL run with real), that certainly means he is by no means "shit" as you claimed ... in addition to other great positives about him that I listed earlier such as: He's 23, was wanted by Sarri, has enormous potential, is already a top keeper, is rated as by far the best young keeper in Spain, has the best long passing accuracy of all of la liga last year, has faced top opposition in barca and real for years now, is Spain's #2 at 23 yo and a lot of spain fans wanted him to start over de gea even, can be our keeper for 10-15 years...
-
no they don't always cost a lot like alisson... but those goalkeepers (ederson, pickford, leno) aren't available anymore and the ones you listed before were either too old, subpar or unavailable. To reiterate what I said, PSG said selling areola was out of the question... as to the rest of your suggestions: sommer (too old), Cillessen (subpar), Areola (unavailable), Keylor Navas (unavailable), Kevin Trapp (subpar) So you still haven't come up with one 40M gk that would have been a better investment than Kepa
-
yeah ok buddy, that's why real were after him...
-
off the top of my head: will be 30 this year, poor, unavailable, unavailable, poor
-
like who, butland? lmao
-
I don't get this attitude at all... He's 23, was wanted by Real just last winter, was wanted by Sarri, has enormous potential, is already a top keeper, is rated as by far the best young keeper in Spain, has the best long passing accuracy of all of la liga last year, has faced top opposition in barca and real for years now, is Spain's #2 at 23 yo and a lot of spain fans wanted him to start over de gea even, can be our keeper for 10-15 years so if you take that 70M, take into account that were getting 40M for courtois and that he will hopefully stay for a decade plus, what's the problem? Thank god the people on this forum clamoring for mr. "mistake waiting to happen" Butland for 35M are not in charge of our club
-
Never though I'd be this excited over a GK signing but this one would be absolutely massssssssive! He would set us up for 10-15 years God willing
-
"@Kepa_46 Is already in Madrid. Tomorrow he will take a flight to London and become a new player of the @ChelseaFC."
-
It's hapenninnnnnnnnnnng
-
definitely the second one
-
and it we sell thibaut for 45M GBP (50M EUR), then the 80M EUR buyout fee for kepa doesn't sound quite as bad... really want this kid and the noises on twitter are positive on this for now 🤞

our best option of the ones remaining... if we somehow manage to seal this deal before the deadline we will have recovered pretty well from a dire situation created by the board/courtois, even if we do end up overpaying...
-
agreed, what were they thinking when they voted to shorten our transfer window?!? and they decide to do this in a world cup summer too, absolute fools... we need to start having a better understanding of which deals are feasible and which deals are almost impossible to conclude. We've been burned so many summers where we focused all summer on getting one mega target that always turned out to be unattainable in the end (rooney, modric, cavani, sandro and now rugani and I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of others) and we ended up with either nothing or with horrible panic buys... apparently all or most of our targets are now decided by this chief scout guy, Mclachlan and according to some (JoeTweedie talked about this recently), he's crazy about analytics and advanced stats and that's how we decide on most of our targets. Before, emanalo used to rely on the opinion of his network of top scouts and they focused more on the eye test rather than basing it off stats. This approach landed us KDB, Lukaku, courtois, among others and now we're getting players like drinkwater and zappacosta... We really need a DoF to get our house in order in terms of transfers and to have an overarching philosophy in terms of what we're doing, rather than just looking at stats like we are rumored to be doing now
-
no thank you, we have enough diminutive players already.... rather just keep willian
