  1. Who? I only saw Silva and Aguero... Once upon a time when he didn't forget how to play football Matic could be considered top player but not in current form... Oh and some think Luiz is one too but those are the only ones I know of
  2. I think the statement made by the club a couple of days ago is huge. At this point I want him gone, but I can't decide if in the middle of the season or by the end of it. But if he stays longer, as long as he starts giving some answers to the team's problems and drilling better our phases, transitions and especially attack, I won't mind if he stays. The fact is Chelsea is known as a club that keeps their business very quiet, even firing managers. If this is the first time in the Roman era that the club went out of his usual way to state they're supporting the manager, so people eager to see him gone should be worried now because I think it's a landmark by the club to state such a thing. Ever since he came back both him and the club kept the same things being said, that they were both in this for the long haul and I think that's just refreshing people's memory. Unlike some people here, Chelsea can obviously survive a season without UCL, it'll have some negative impact in the books, and business, but with the new TV deal it won't be that much of a damage... maybe players we might pursue won't be willing to come here, but then we regroup, do as United did (preferably also missing Europa League, I'd rather us to finish out of top 6-7 and play only domestically next season than go for another good for nothing competition that will only tire our players). It's not the end of the world be out of UCL although is uncomfortable as fuck. We aren't Liverpool, we didn't have a couple of fluke seasons beyond our real capabilities. We were solid for over a decade and that's why if we happen to be out of UCL next year we won't suffer too much from it. I do hope by next season he isn't our manager anymore, but for God's sake, I love Chelsea too much to go years without watching and that's what's going to happen if Pep ever comes here. I refuse to watch that man.
  3. You don't want him to be as stupid as the doctor and bring internal affairs to the media, right?
  4. hoping for the best, but knowing the worst is inevitable.
  5. Mourinho is now a hostage of his own bad management. We had two amazing FB at Luís and Azpili, now he has to play Iva because he really has no other options... Unless he decides to play Zouma, Traoré or Kenedy out of position in the LB, he has to stick with fucking Ivanovic. He truly deserves to see the ax if someone decides to dismiss him because of Iva (not saying they should do it though), it is his fault he doesn't have anyone better to play nowadays. It serves him right for being so stubborn and bad in managing the squad rotation last season.
  6. Yours and Henrique's logic is flawed - and you both know it, especially when I lost count of how many times both of you said we only won the league last year because it's been very poor the last few years. Still, being as poor as you think it is, it took us 5 years and a handful managers to win a title. If managers don't matter, and money wins things, how come with so many rich clubs such as us, City and United this league is poor? So you say the league is weak, but also say that winning was inevitable, still in a weak league we failed to win the title in 5 years. So I suppose, the final verdict is that the league is so weak, that money wins titles - as our rivals fans have been saying all years - except we suck a lot because even with a lot of money and managers we won virtually nothing domestically in the last five years. Clearly the problem isn't Mourinho then, going by this logic.
  7. At least Aguero is my captain in fantasy football. God knows I've been sucking on it for two seasons now
  8. ugh!!!!! I hate late starts (in more one way than one). Why can't we play already and get done with it. I don't have a clue of what to expect... except IVanovic in the team, that is a given, after all, communication is the key
  9. this must have been one of the most ignorant posts I've ever seen in this forum and I've seen my share of them. The money donated for the forum is a low blow and to know people who support the manager are now called glory hunters surprises me. Mourinho lost a lot of my support and I wouldn't mind if he left tomorrow, but I won't say whoever still supports him 100% is a glory hunter. Where is the glory in the first place? Most posting people doesn't support him in the job anymore, so if anyone wants glory here they're likely to start offending others and talking about money if you ask me.
  10. I'm not English native speaker, but I suppose telling someone to take care of one's diet and completely different from telling them to go cook. Maybe only in portuguese there's a difference, but diet means what is part of your meals and that's not cooking. But whatever... this is a free forum, everyone can think whatever they please.
  11. His wife was talking shit about Jose who is nothing to her and he told her to focus on the man that does have something to do with her. There might be something else, but I think the clear jab was stop minding me and go take care of your fat husband after all he's widely know as the fat Spanish waiter. Which still isn't okay btw, but before the eva gate that was my perception
  12. We have many Portuguese and Spanish speakers here who assured others he just screamed son of a bitch, but they didn't believe us, created all sort of stupid theories based on an offense that never happened. Good that FA was very detailed and coercive in their statement. Some people here were sure he was going to be banned, thought he deserved and some may have even wanted it. Suddenly none of them are posting now... He said BS when he said the doctors shouldn't have entered the pitch. That was stupid, unfounded and ridiculous. Everything else was his heated reaction. There was no sexism involved, no matter what people say. Both doctors, male and female were temporarily demoted. One of them stayed quiet, got over it and came back to work. The other took social media to address it, never came back to work and is rumored to be willing to sue the club. If she's smart she'll notice she won't have better chances to win that either. The club can cite many reasons for the demotion, including the considerable high amount of negative publicity she brought to the club in the last year with actions questioned by media but also the organization that watches over medical decisions done in a football pitch. As I said her best chance is personal law suit against Mourinho and that doesn't scream big money imo.
  13. because it's impossible to save a whole team by yourself. He was tackling, pressing and doing everything he could in the first, he tried the through ball many times - some successful others no, but he was trying. His limited dribbling skills showed, but what other players did with those balls he offered and from the tackles he recovered the ball? He came deep to give more options and space for Fabregas and Hazard, but what have they done with it? Bullocks. I still think we play better with him than without him - given the current players we have - but today was simply impossible to help that team. I've never seen such a heartless and toothless presentation from so many players at once.
  14. it wasn't only balance and he was the only decent player in the first... what can he do when everyone around him sucks? He wasn't that good, but the others were much worse...
  15. I liked your post for the first paragraph. I'm still not ready for the second
  16. the players have been ridiculous, their lack of intensity, heart and even commitment has been painful to watch, but Mourinho shows exactly the same starting those guys. Get Ramires (can't believe I'm typing it), RLC, Willian in the team and get rid of those guys. He took only JT away, and I'm positive we wouldn't have conceded those two goals if he was playing, when he even wasn't our biggest problem. Hazard has been a big joke, but I understand why he's kept. But Matic, Fabregas, and one from the front have to go to the bench. Remy was toothless, but Falcao is even worse. Oscar did little in the first, and nothing in the second. Pedro got this contagious disease we have. Mourinho should give other players chances as the ones he's been giving haven't answered.
  17. fucking useless defensively in this league, I'd rather us play 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 anything with three defenders because we don't have anyone to replace IVa.
  18. if that's not enough for Mourinho admit at least Matic and Fabregas can't play anymore (I give up on Iva, as we don't have replacements) then I don't know what will. We can't keep that pivot, I'm sorry
  19. Everyone has been fucking terrible. Yes, Mourinho needs to make some changes, but how many of them would be necessary today? I'd keep only Begovic and Azpili. Oscar was half decent in the first, but that's it... the team has no heart, no answer and Mourinho doesn't have the balls to play the team that played against Maccabi against EPL teams. As we don't have an Iva replacement, play 3-5-2. We needs answers from players and Mourinho...
  20. I still love him, but he's one of the worst right now. Worse than him only Iva and Matic imo.
  21. when the team you're playing against is slow, soft, gives you space and does nothing with the ball, you just play, even if you can't. That's what happened
  22. rs they're bad, Mourinho needs to figure it out, starting with more changes.
  23. the team regressed from the little progress it has made Everyone without any intensity, slow, soft, apathetic. I don't know what else to make of this players, but Fabregas and Matic shouldn't start matches for us right now
  24. I'm not happy with Iva, but Terry has a decent - if not better replacement - whereas Iva doesn't. People praising Baba are delusional if they think if he's better defensively than IVa. He showed some struggle with Walsall and Maccabi, what do you think would happen against EPL teams? Iva has to go, the problem is the only decent replacement we had had been underused by Mourinho last season. Baba would mean an even worse nightmare than Iva defensively. Offensively I agree he's been nice.
  25. man, you're free to believe whatever you want about whoever. If you think Kompany is the answer to their problems, okay. I think it's quite laughable, but we can agree to disagree.
