  1. Spike, have you talked to a health care professional? Your family? Please do, this is not something that you need to do on your own. I am thinking about you and I admit a little worried. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  2. I have notice your winter has been longer and colder than usual. You must be anxious for spring to play some golf! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  3. @dumps You need to set deadlines for yourself and a schedule. Make yourself stick to it and for your sanity turn off "The Lion King"! You will not be able to think with all the roaring and singing! Now, get your bum in gear and get back to work so you can get the grade you want! Oh and good luck!!! 4. Excellent advice! Study but remember to take time for you! Remember what ey call the man graduating at the bottom of his graduating class: .... Doctor Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  5. You need a nice fire in the fire place and a bottle of wine ... Oh and the misses!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  6. @Choulo -- I have hope that they will find the guy since he also stole Aaron's car. So hopefully they will find evidence to make a nice solid conviction when they do catch him. Good Luck on your midterms!!
  7. I do! A friend from SA introduced me to it but finding a good one can be tough here in China. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  8. I don't know about not invading any where there is a rather large Flemish-American community in Michigan which I am a proud member of. my great-grandparents were immigrants from West Flanders Welcome to talk Chelsea! I am loving the Belgian invasion btw. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
  9. It hits me hard every time something happens to one of my students, current or former. They are in a way still my kids even after they graduate and move on. I still check on them and like hearing about their lives, so when something bad happens it hits makes me sad too. This hits me twice as hard to because I know most of his friends and I know they are hurting too. So senseless. Thanks for the kind words. @Full, how very sad. A tragedy in so many ways. I hope they find the people responsible.
  10. I prefer Lady Grey to Earl Grey I also like pur'er depending on how long it is aged can have different flavors. In the evenings I prefer hua cha (or flower teas)
  11. http://wreg.com/2013/03/23/teen-murdered-while-taking-out-the-garbage-at-work/ I am just so angry and sad at the moment. The young man in the article above was a student of mine when I taught in the US and he was a very nice young man. Aaron always had a smile on his face, he was helpful, and funny. He was one of those kids that was a joy to have in the classroom. I am just absolutely heartbroken. This just so damn unfair and wrong. I pray they catch the guy that did this senseless act of violence.
  12. Happy Birthday! Hope this coming year is amazing!
  13. Thanks, Ron She hasn't said much in the last week or so, but that isn't unusual and I haven't been home. I have been in Brunei with MacKenzie for her tournament! They played really well and placed second overall in swimming but not only 4th in basketball, 5th in football and I am not sure where in athletics. MacKenzie placed 5th in the triple jump. I am absolutely exhausted after being at the events from 8am -5pm each day (when the girls weren't playing I went to watch the boys play). Evenings in the hotel were quiet dull as there wasn't even a pool bar since alcohol is prohibited in Brunei! Tomorrow I will be up at at 6 to watch her volleyball tournament.
  14. I meant I would try when I am back in the US in the summer, but yes I am headed to Brunei to watch my daughter's tournament this weekend!! So excited and nervous!!
  15. I would skip the train trip if it meant I could see more of the country! I know I want to go down near Melbourne to see Steve and I have a friend who lives near Perth, so It will have to be a lengthy trip when we come to Australia.
  16. it might not be there anymore, it was a luxury train (Like the orient express) you could take that crossed from the North to south going thru Alice Springs I believe. It may not even exist any more. My folks did it ages ago and I love their pictures from it. I may have remembered the name wrong or spelled it wrong too.
  17. i will try again when I am not in Asia
  18. Thanks for explaining. I knew the abuse his body has taken was catching up with him but I hadn't heard the actual report on his recovery. I had also noticed his lack of mobility. None of it is a surprise given how he returned time after time faster than he should have. I knew it was bad when they kept pushing back his return. I don't like that JT hasn't said anything, it is not like him. Just makes you wonder what else they are covering up or hiding.
  19. My very long list is getting shorter as we've done quite a lot in the last decade Such as: camping along the Great Wall, Walking on the Great Wall, Visiting The Temple of Heaven, Tiananmen Square, The Olympic Cube in Beijing, In Shanghai: Tianzifang, The Pearl Tower, Yuyuan, and much more, Went to Tokyo and Kyoto: visited temples, zen gardens, the home of the ninjas, and the oldest noodle house in Japan, went to Thailand (rode an elephant!), met an orangutan in Borneo, went to Romeo and Vatican City, visited Krakow, Poland and the religious sites nearby, visited London, Brussels, Ghent, Brugge, and Edinburgh, and went to the North Island of New Zealand. A few on there still are: Finish seeing China: Xian, Guilin, Chengdu (Pandas), Shenzhen (visit Ryan); Yunnan, climb the stairs to the gate to heaven Be fluent in Chinese instead of being only knowing a little bit. Go to Tibet Go to Cambodia Go to Vietnam Go to the Bridge to see a Chelsea Match (close would be to see a game in Europe) Go to the Galapagos Islands Go to the Easter Islands Do a wine tour of Italy/Napa Valley/France/Australia/New Zealand Go to Australia And possibly ride the Ghan from Adelaide to Darwin Visit friends in Germany and England Return to New Zealand to see the South Island See as many World Heritage Sites as I can Retire with my husband while we can still enjoy it, possibly to Malaysia visit my best friend when she goes home to Finland! See both my children graduate college and settle down with the love of their life (I know that is their choice but I still want to see it) and so much more!!!
  20. We have regular stores as well, but they are a lot more expensive but the quality is better. Just depends on what you are looking for
  21. oh that would make me very upset. Here things are very inexpensive typically but you have to barter… which I hate but thankfully my husband loves! So I find what I want, tell him and walk away LOL
  22. It is hard to find Chelsea tops in the US too. Especially women's tops! Actually any women's tops for football clubs. It drives me batty! China is awful for it too, although if I ask for them I bet some how they would find them for me! But that is the way they work here, but the quality is not always the best. I prefer to have my Chelsea Jerseys be the real thing!
  23. Just how bad is his knee? Why is he starting most games as a substitute? He can't honestly be happy with that situation nor can I imagine he is quiet about it. Just doesn't seem in his nature not to want to be on the pitch … I think our back line is currently doing well don't get me wrong, I just don't understand if our captain is healthy why he is sitting on the bench. Other than I just don't understand the FSW's tactical genius…
