Lol. If you think we can play a good, attacking side with good retaining of the ball with Lampard in the double pivot you must be joking. We do need a player like Modric. Lets hope that if we do then Lampard won't have another hissy fit because he keeps being benched. And I can't believe people still think Essien has some sort of part in the team. He is finished and needs to be shipped off, nothing more then a block of skin on dodgy legs. Get over him and move on.
I honest to god will kick a small animal if he is sent on loan and not given a chance in the first team. Its obvious this kid has talent, can play on the wings, behind the striker, even in Central midfield, what more do you want?
Sell him, then we can actually get someone to go into to the double pivot who can actually control the tempo of the game and start the attacks from midfield. And we would not have the risk of Lampard moaning and complaining to the media and Roman because he keeps getting dropped. Should get a bit of money even if he is 34 and and slow as fuck, both physically and mentally.
Malouda's workrate against Spain has been absolutly disgusting. Just take a look at the goal and how Malouda marks Alonso. He does not move one inch once Alonso gets past him (so easily). Its disgraceful that we may allow his request to stay in the squad for next season. I would not mind him being taken to a wall and have the firing squad shoot him if its the only way to get rid of him.
You can sum up this pathetic thread in two sentences: Some people get way too over protective when it comes to Torres. Some go way over the top in their bashing on Torres (as a reaction to the former?) Either way, the last few pages is some of the most cringeworthy and downright sad reading material I have seen in my life.
I reallyhope he does get the number 11 shirt just to piss off the people who are making the silly claim that it should be retired. IT. IS. A. BLOODY. NUMBER!
By acting like a complete tosser? I'm sorry, but I can't stand it when players do this infront of the media. We rightly have a go at Torres and Sturridge for doing this and some of us even dared to do it at Lampard. So he should not be getting a let off.
There are actually quite a lot of Brazilians playing their football in Japan. In fact there is even an official ethnic group of mixed Japenese/Brazilian blood that is recognized in Japan, even for a country that is quite strict on the ethnic boundries.
