The biggest problem pinpointed though. With no stability between managers, it's like playing chess with a different person every move - they all have different techniques to try and win and if they don't, then they are done. I think Carlo was under a restriction in terms of transfers, and also, he promised to use the youth - which he rarely did. I think many saw Kakuta as the holy grail so much, they never comprehend the large amount of development it is to step-up. And i doubt Carlo had the balls to do something, while AVB has already shown he isn't afraid to get into people faces if need be - dropping Lampard, did Carlo ever drop Lampard last season? Come January, he would either be loaned out to some shitty French club or sold, imo.

The problem was, that young player is either Danny, or non-existent!

We won against Leverkusen, or do you mean this week? Chelsea won tonight -- No more Kalou!
-
Great another debate in another thread NOT about the topic. What a way to re-introduce yourself 'Beast'. On-Topic: Guess the chances of Kalou starting a game any time soon is virtually gone

Pissed off that people can be so selfish and narrow-minded.

Too bad Torres is banned, would have been the PERFECT match for him. Bolton are shite at the moment, and he would have torn them apart ! Sturridge to do it instead
-
How did he play all in all?

But, in terms of Kalou performances off the bench hasn't he also garnered a reputation as a 'super-sub'? There have been times when his ability - which he does have, which might seem foreign to some - can be lethal to weakened and tired sides, and sometimes he can be useful in his versatilty in the forwards positions - both wings and a striker. The player should take responsibilty on something like such a hand ball, or like Torres, at Swansea, a sending off. The fact that we play with a more flowing and concentrated play now, his ability doesn't click into the new style - or, he hasn't been used to it yet. I, like others, think that his time has come and someone who is younger, more eager and has a completely different type of ability can come in and slot into his role. It is obvious AVB like Sturridge, and if he wasn't injured i am sure he would have started, or would have been the sub. But he wasn't available, and when Carlo was manager it seemed Kalou wanted to show his worth. Today, he didn't seem like that - maybe he knows he is gone in terms of a role within the squad? He has been here for a couple of season and should have learnt about what to do in certain scenarios - maybe defending in your own box doesn't occur much in training to a forward - maybe it will now though.

How do people think about Raul's cameo? I think he did well defensively!

Homer is alive?
-
I know he can be magical at times, but surely predicting the future is a little too much? Remember who is the person who has been an professional footballer for most of their life? Kalou. Who should have learnt the basics? Kalou! Even i know to keep your arms below shoulder length and behind your backs at all times - especially in the box.

To make a mistake is human, but to say sorry is to be a man. Condolesences on your loss man, It's always hard to loose someone - especially someone in your family.

Wasn't talking about Kalou, more about Sh0. But of course, this is a thread about TODAY'S MATCH, not a comment said in the HEAT OF THE MOMENT. Too which he has been WARNED ABOUT! Incase some people decided to read into shit, and think otherwise. Kalou made a mistake which shouldn't have happened from the experience he has, but a mistake neitherless. We got something out of a game that looked on paper we could have been more damaged too - they are at home, playing well in the league and got a main threat - so a draw wouldn't be so bad. We still have SB, which should be OUR result - and no Kalou.

He's human - humans makes mistakes. They also learn to move on from it - you lot should too!

I won't let my judgements be overshadowed by emotional - i will call what i see - and i won't deny those who deserved to be named in an otherwise perfect performance. David Luiz was solid, and i found it personally hilarious when he backheeled the ball to JT and etc. He is definitely one of the biggest potential stars in the world, maybe even greater then JT? Early days! Nando found his step in the second half, and like most, i wondered why he didn't play the 90 minutes (as previously stated). Bosingwa was also another star for me, clicking well with Mikel and Luiz, and probably his best defensive performance so far in his career! Malouda did well back-tracking, and Cech was commanding - even when he went out, his prescence must have shaken the Valencian man. Mikel was solid, always looked good when forced to play as a defender after Luiz surged forward, or when Bos was too much on the wing. Cole, as i have stated, was poor in the first half, but finally came together in the second half - even though i think his crossing does need improving a little slightly! Ramires was brilliant defensive and was always an option in attack, and i also thought Lampard did play that bad - showing he still has his shooting boots, but doesn't have the confidence to shoot outside the box - yet. Overall, we played a team that nearly won against one of the (if not THEE) best sides in the world, and nearly got the win if it wasn't down to an individual person. I wouldn't count AVB for the fault, but for Kalou himself. He should have known not to have lift his arm so far in the air, especially in his own box! But take the merits, rather then the negatives - life seems lighter that way!
-
Maybe Arsenal will come calling in January? He just doesn't suit our type of style anymore where his ability would have been used in a larger manor.
-
Kalou has besically shat all over the over boys brilliant performance! AvB should have stuck with Torres for 90 mins, i mean he has only the CL to play for in the next couple of weeks, and Anelka added nothing really as a main striker. Malouda had a better game, and Cole was terrible in the first half for me but stepped up, like most, in the second half. We played for the win and should have got it, i could have seen why he wanted Kalou on (Anelka as SS and Kalou playing ahead and rotating whilst attacking) but his was totally torid. Not hating, but stating the fact. I would rather have seen Didi. There Keeper did some brilliant saves! Which seems to be quite the trend against us lately! Dissapointed that the ref fucked it up towards the end of the game, denying us what looked like a penalty, and ending the game when we could have gotten something - and then yellow carding both Cole and Mata. Really dissapointed in Kalou, he really did change the game - but in the wrong way. I hope we sign Kevin De Bruyne to replace him in either January or the summer.

Happy Birthday! Here hoping to a blue celebration with a win over Valencia
-
Welcome! I know you'll love it here

Nando should play, and he should repay us for his sending off with more of his awesome new form

Your kidding right? We held off Swansea with only 10 men and scored twice with ten men?
