Ashley is actually a big Chelsea fan lol, i would of loved it if he bought Liverpool FC.

I was not impressed either, he did not seem to have any dribbling ability whatsoever, he released the ball early though which is a good sign but we need a speed merchant like Hazard.

''Sports Direct Arena'' I really hope this does not happen to us, this is terrible in my honest opinion. Samsung Arena

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11678/7301078/Magpies-drop-St-James-name Newcastle are to rename St James' Park as the Sports Direct Arena as they look to sell the naming rights to their stadium. The Magpies hope to follow fellow Premier League clubs Arsenaland Manchester City by licensing the naming rights to the ground which has been their home since 1886. St James' Park, which has a capacity of over 52,000, could join Emirates Stadium and the Etihad Stadium in adopting the name of an external backer if the plans announced come to fruition. Until the club can find a sponsor to buy the naming rights the ground will be named after owner Mike Ashley's sports retail company. Newcastle originally planned to allow sponsors to link their brand to St James' Park but that idea, put forward in 2009, is now replaced by the offer to purchase full naming rights. Deliver success "These are very difficult economic times and the board have a responsibility to maximise all revenue streams for the benefit of the club." Derek LlambiasQuotes of the week Newcastle managing director Derek Llambias said: ''Our aim forNewcastle United is to continue to deliver success for the fans and everyone associated with the club. We must make this club financially self-sufficient in order to deliver that success. "To grow sustainably and allow us to invest in our future, we will need to rely increasingly heavily on commercial income. "These are very difficult economic times and the board have a responsibility to maximise all revenue streams for the benefit of the club. "Stadium rebranding offers a lucrative way for clubs to secure significant additional income. "When we initially launched our plans at the end of 2009, we invited sponsors to attach their brand to that of St James' Park. "However, it has become clear that in order to make the proposition as commercially attractive as possible, a potential sponsor must be given the opportunity to fully rebrand the stadium.'' Opportunity Llambias added that a shirt sponsorship deal might also be available to any company interested in taking on the naming rights of the stadium. "Naming the stadium the Sports Direct Arena helps up to showcase the opportunity to interested parties,'' he said. "We are now actively seeking a long-term sponsor wishing to acquire full naming rights for the stadium. "Our shirt sponsorship deal with Northern Rock will also expire at the end of this season, which presents would-be sponsors with the opportunity to acquire both the naming rights and shirt sponsorship deals.''

I will give him to the end of the season but he really is disappointing up to now.

Tell that to Drogba who did not even make a first team debut at Le mans until he was 21 years of age.

This is the problem with changing managers and coaching staff every single year, they just end up looking at OPTA stats. This just proves that Kalou was destined for financial greatness no matter in what profession, he is amazing. Kalou is a very savvy business man with the gift of the gab. I give up, face it peeps he is a world class negotiator and you cant beat that, this guy makes Winston Borgarde look like a novice hahah.

Juan hardly has pace, he cant out sprint a full back with good pace.

This will never happen again in my opinion besides that i like sitting at the match, we are not as fit as what we used to be Dave lol. I think we should have seat recliners and a button that automatically asks you for your order from the tuck shop inside the ground. Supporters will support the side no matter what Dave, you could put beds in the stands in some of the turkish teams and they would still make an almighty noise. The problem we have is we don't have many pure supporters who attend the match in London anymore.

I agree with you, you have to have a certain level of drive and hunger to able to make a consistent difference in games like what Ronaldo and Messi do. Anelka and Micheal Owen were so much better then Theirry Henry when all three of them were breaking through in the late 90's it was not even debatable. By the end of all their careers Thierry Henry was the only one who became a footballing legend and who would of thought that in the late 90's. This was down to Henry having a certain level of drive and determination that Anelka certainly never had. The same thing with Gerrard and Lampard, if you told me in the early 00's that Lampard was going to be on the same level as Gerrard i would of laughed at you but Lamps is always the last person who leaves the training ground. I think by the end of their careers Sturridge will probably have a better career then Pato, Pato does not even seem interested anymore like Anelka ! Attitude is huge in football, you can have Anelka type quality at 17 but if you don't work on it then the others will catch up and surpass you.

We should never of sold Robben, what the hell did that 24 million do for us ? Absolutely nothing at all, i know he was injury prone but the form he showed for Bayern that season was so good that it could of propelled us, hindsight is a wonderful thing but you should never sell a premium Dutch attacker no matter what.

Chelsea is the last club young players would want to join at the moment. This kid is a pacy skillful young player, i don't think he can play as a CM though i think you have to accommodate him in a specific system which is not good unless you are a mid table side. Totti was like that too, i don't think there is a space for AMC anymore in big sides which is sad because we all like watching them. This kid either has to play as a winger or learn to be disciplined in midfield.

If people actually think Roman cares about how much he paid for AVB then they are deluded in my opinion. He will be sacked regardless, unless he wins one of the majors. We are talking about a man that is still currently paying off like 10 other former managers including Avram fucking Grant. I am not being funny or anything but Avram Grant was not even our manager he was just the guy for the cameras, Steve Clark was the coach who put the plans out before every match, Avram could not organize a piss up in a London pub on a Friday night.

We have been in transition since Mourinho left, we won the league by 1 point with Carlo but last next season we lost it by 9 points. We have not felt like an immortal side since Jose was here and i just think that is what Roman is looking for but he will not get that in AVB because AVB clearly wants to squeeze the spaces in midfield which makes us play a high line. AVB will be gone at the end of the season unless he wins the UCL or maybe the League title. We are going round in circles and new managers will always want to give the likes of Kalou, Alex, Malouda, ''another chance''.

Its disgusting anyway you look at it mate.

Lets not make that mistake once again Gary Gordan. We thought Man utd would have a rough patch when they were flying at the start in 06-07 but they went on to win the league comfortably. Man City have the ability to win this league and i think they probably will because they showed me that they could get dirty against QPR. City just have a bit too much for the rest of the league and i think unless we really start motoring from feb we could fall out come may. I want us to keep in touch for as long as possible but we are already struggling and that is worrying.
-
The thing is i don't see Drogba pulling up any tree's this season and Torres is just going from brilliant to shocking. When i seen that miss he did against Blackburn i was not shocked at all and that is worrying. Lampard is carrying the goal burden at the moment but we need to find a new dimension, a new attacking outlet because teams will find us out that Mata is our sole provider. We need someone who can find space and create in midfield in January, we really really need that.
-
I really think that for the first time in a long long time the top four is not predictable anymore. I think Man City Man utd and Chelsea will be in the top three but Tottenham Liverpool and Arsenal will be fighting for that fourth place and i am very very worried that we can be sucked into that dog fight. Man City have the resources and Man utd just have too much of a structure to lose their consistency. We lack structure because we revamp our backroom staff every single season and spending money on our spine to add to Rami, Mata, Studge and Torres is absolutely vital, if we don't we could be in serious trouble. I don't think we will win the League this season, for the first time in years teams actually believe they can score against us and that is dangerous. A lot of teams in the league are catching up to us in terms of quality and out of all the teams in the top 6 i would say we have improved the least. This is really worrying and unless AVB wins the European cup he will be a one season manager.

I think he will go to Euro 2012 because he is versatile, he would be perfect to play next to Rooney because Danny is very clever with his movement. -
