We could do it in my opinion, we could get money for a few players like Alex Anelka and Bosingwa. I think we will get some money for some of the players, i think Kalou will get a few million too. Zolayes not all of the new players will be starters, this thread is about a squad. We will still have a core of players Like you're Mata's Torres's Ramires's then you add a few to that in the first team and add a lot more onto the bench for a rotation system.

That is exactly my point. The whole reason why we did not buy a play-maker after we won the league was because of the fact that we won the league. The league that we won was far from convincing we won it by an offside goal and by one point as a result. We had 3 attacking players in Drogba Lampard and Malouda who basically saved us from losing points so many times. A lot of fans just looked at the trophy and just thought everything was rosy when it was not, winning trophies is not always a good thing, especially if you change managers like we do.

I am saying we need a left winger and a right winger plus a second striker. We need options, this is what is wrong with Chelsea fans.... What you must understand is football is a squad game, all we seem to think about is the starting 11. As i have already said we have too many number 9's at the club we need a second striker who can offer us a formation change when we need or an extra option from the bench.

Then we as a club have to realize that we are not going to be serious contenders in the long run. If Roman is unwilling to get rid of certain liabilities like Bosingwa and Alex and a host of others and replace them with young hungry players then we are fucked in the long run. We have to do it all in one transfer window so the new players can get a whole Pre-season in and be up and running for the new season.

No it is not, its called forward thinking. Just look at what happened the last time we won the league by 1 point with a Drogba offside goal. That premier league season completely masked the fact that we have a lot of liabilities at this club and if it was not for the absolute amazing mind blowing seasons Malouda, Drogba, and Lampard had in an attacking sense those frailties would of been exposed.

I think there is too much on Mata's shoulders to create for Torres at the moment and soon teams will try to negate Mata and its possible. Then at that point we will have a problem because we don't have an outlet like a Robben or a Hazard who can try and exploit the space that will be left by the opposing teams efforts in stopping Mata. Torres is not a Drogba he needs service because he is a pace based striker. Ramires will not be able to keep this lung busting performance going , Ramires will feel fatigue in around Feb-March. I think Josh would be a fantastic short term solution for this season until we can get ourselves sorted for next season. We don't need to win the European cup or league this season as i have already mentioned it will buy time for certain players. We carry the most liabilities out of all the major teams in Europe and we have only let it happen by having so many different managers who keep giving them a chance.

I really hope we don't win the league this season because that will buy a few other players time that we don't need. Drogba will leave regardless Anelka will probably leave regardless same with Kalou but the ones i am talking about now is Bosingwa John Terry... maybe even Malouda who i really like but we might need fresh legs instead of him. Alex is another one who it will buy time for and we just need to sort it out.

I severely regret us winning the league in 2009-20010 because that earned a number of players an extra few years when in reality we won it by one point and Drogba effectively won it with an offside goal at old Trafford. We need to sort ourselves out because other teams are catching us and City in my opinion have caught us. Roman needs to know that managers should have the mandate to manage. Carlo did not want Torres it was clear, Mourinho did not want Ballack or Sheva, Roman has been acting like a cancer for a few years now.

Ok ''average'' was a bit misguided and stupid of me but he has lost that aura around him that made him save the impossible during the Jose years. I know the defence was much better back then but he made some saves during that time that were just unbelievable, he no longer does that anymore. He still makes great saves but he won us a shit load of points before Hunt nearly killed him. I think as a club we have been very unlucky because Cech and Robben would of been massive players for us in terms of winning more trophies then what we have done in the last 7 seasons.

[ We have done this for far too long and it annoys me. Players like Anelka Kalou and now shockingly Lukaku are being used in that role when that is not were they should be playing. Anelka is a striker, Lukaku is a young unpolished target man with poor control but with desire and an ability to head the ball. Kalou is a glorified goal hanger with limited ability and a complete liability in that role. So we need to sort this out once and for all !

Sloth we need a another striker because we lack a second striker who can give us a bit of variation if we want. We need a cannon ball, Rooney Tevez Hulk Suarez that type of forward, someone who is content with running with the ball in central area's and taking a long shot and chasing defenders to get the crowd going. We have too many number 9's we need a second striker. This thread is all about our options because that is what we need, we need to have different players in different situations. Anelka and Torres are too similar in style Drogba and Lukaku are too similar Sturridge is a player who i think will end up like Torres. Adrian Mutu was a player who i really liked because he was that type of forward.

Man Utd and Man city will probably out score us this season because of the options they have. We have gone through a transitional period for too long and we have not been brave enough to get rid of old liabilities. John Terry has been a liability for too long and if he was not English people would want him out. We could get much better then Anelka in the market today, a younger striker with something to prove. Lampard does not have the effect on games he used to have and we need a midfielder who can keep us ticking because we have lacked cohesion in midfield since Ranieri we have just hided it fantastically well. Drogba is like Lampard he is coming to the end too which is sad and i think we would be better off if we offered him to Lille for Hazard. I simply don't think we did enough in the summer which is sad.

I really think we need more forward thinking players we simply don't have enough. Man utd and Man City have a lot of options in forward areas, we simply don't have that luxury. To win the league you need a strong squad and we have lacked a decent pure left winger since Robben and we have not had a good Pure right winger since god knows when and its worrying. Lukaku might be 2 years away from making a big impact, Sturridge is ready which is good, Torres has hit some kind of form but that is not enough. Sturridge and Lukaku are strikers lets not turn them into sub standard wingers. We need 2 quick young wide players and a 23-26 year old striker with good European pedigree. Then we need to add Josh into that midfield.

Yes but he still not as good as what he used to be. He is average now in my opinion, we could find better, he does not make those unbelievable saves anymore strikers can get past him with half chances.

I was over the moon that he did it. This guy has been nothing but a complete liability for years now and finally i will not have to watch him for Chelsea much longer. Kalou's poor control is one of the reason's why our team has had inconsistent attacking cohesion for a long time. If we had a decent right winger for the 5 years he has been at the club i think that would of made such a difference that we could of won more trophies.

Kalou by an absolute country mile, Salomon has really done us a favor with that handball. I was over the moon because i know we will top the group anyway, i have to admit though i got a little bit nervous when Soldado was taking it, i really wanted him to score and he did i felt so happy. Kalou's evil spell is not working anymore, the nightmare is nearly over........ 5 years of it.

Yes i am a troll, i have been part of this forum and the old Talkchelsea for 8 years now but they have failed to figure out the fact that i am a troll. I did not like his post so i gave him a negative rep, i do not have to explain why i give people negative or positive reps.
