Bunker mentality.

The pessimism is only because of the nature of how things panned out yesterday. The performance was good barring one silly moment for their penalty and complete farce from the ref. I'm really confident ahead of the Liverpool game, home advantage and Costa alone will worry them, not only that but I actually think we are playing really well.

Mourinho already questioning his players and highlighted in the media today. I said to watch his reaction to his first defeat, and there we have it. He tried to be graceful in defeat, he can't keep it behind closed doors can he.

I was angry at FT but after a cooling off time and on reflection I am delighted at our attitude and how we continued to play the same way and how we really took the game to them. Costa was brilliant, all round first class from him.

Well spoken Gary, totally correct in his points.

His close ball control was immense today. People seem to think hold up play is juts about your back to goal, it isn't. His hold up play going forward was immense, he had three on him at times and managed to occupy players by sheer dribbling and ball retention. A masterclass for me.

I've said this before and will say it again. These refs are a protected species, you cannot say or do anything towards them, yet on the flip side if they get something major wrong they will still appear the following week.....Yet a player will not. Refs don't learn from mistakes, if they did they would not keep repeating the same awful decisions.

Sensational player, deserves some next to him at his level.

Whilst today was a little annoying how it went I cannot believe the reaction in here.

Whilst I am worried about the likes on Mane etc I truly believe if we let Kante do his job that Costa will rip them a new one.

We only ever seem to really turn the screw when we go behind. at 1-0 we went through the motions without lacking the killer instinct. Conte has a lot of work to do with this side of the game, when we are in command we need to raise the tempo again and kill off teams.

Worries me, has done for some time.

Cahill wasn't great and should of done better but watch the incident back and see how Fer kicked through him.

I'm more worried about Courtois in all honesty, he fills me with no confidence at all.

Only ourselves to blame, missed lots of chances at 1-0 and you can always see us getting punished. Terry looks fucked now and Cahill will be dropped for his clanger.

It's hard for him to deflect any blame close to himself because it bounces straight off his ego. He stifles young talent, he massages his ego and he never ever blames himself for the short comings when things go wrong.
