Let's say the new manager does accomplish that with us, but realistically speaking we can't go on every season winning a trophy so what happens with the manager then? That's my biggest concern.

I find it hard to believe Carlo to be sacked if he did bring on some sort of trophy this season, but fair enough.

According to our agenda, "time" is defined roughly as in 1-2 seasons, what if Basten fails to prove himself within that time frame then what?

Basically I'm assuming that if the new manager doesn't win the PL and FA cup he will be sacked since Carlo at least could do that for us.

That is contradicting in a way, how do you know what Chelsea will be like in the long term with Carlo in charge? He managed 2 seasons and won the double in his first ever season in the EPL, seems short term to me, and that's how Chelsea runs their business, in the short term.
