Does anyone else realize how good Ash was defensively during 09 season (under Hiddink)? Random bit I know..got me reminiscing.

Wrong season mate. On ashley winning PPOTY...fair enough he was pretty solid but nothing close to the form he was in last season, can't fault him though I think besides Cech he played the most minutes along with JT if i'm correct. With the way he runs and plays every game (+ for England) I worry about his career in the near future.

My thoughts exactly, but ironically i use "god" references just for the sake of it like "omg", "jesus Christ" etc.. I know that sounds contradicting and that some atheists don't even care but I know people who get offended.

Unless our midfield suddenly wakes up from sleep with an ability to create chances creatively then we still need some quality signings. The strike line i'm not so worried about since Sturridge will be back so we will have depth in that position.

Indeed, we can't even run a simple break away play...we had 3-4 blue shirts blistering forward with loads of space but the ball ended right back to newcastle with little to no effort at all.

That will depend on the system that surrounds him...if we enter next year with the same type of formula we are truly fucked. We were miserable today and it doesn't seem that bad because it's near the end of the season but the way the players came on was shocking considering the beat down we had at old trafford last weekend.
