I think it'll be fine . Don't think Lukaku will outshine Rooney this season, and if Rooney does good then not next season either. Rooney will probably (if he signs) be here for no more then 2-3 seasons.

Dunno if a MUCH better option.. Mata probably would have, but that's cause he doesn't have the shot. Shooting and passing to Lukaku were both good options. Since he scored, it was the right thing to do.

Honestly Hazard usually never loses the ball.. He just doesn't really give a fuck in pre-season, so it seems.. like you said, trying those flicks and skills etc. He's actually very strong and has incredible balance, he almost never loses the ball.

Rooney is 27, I'm sure he can get better. Atleast get back to his old self. Its not that he's that bad on his current form actually..

You're making a valid point, but IMO Real are better than us even if we have Mata.. I'm not saying we're not good, I'm very happy with the team. All I'm saying is that the team needs some time untill we reach the absolute top class level of Real Madrid, Bayern etc.. No team in the PL is better than us IMO, so its already very good.

There are no excuses, they were better. They'd probably win even if it wasn't a friendly. -We have young and talented players, players who this is their first season in blue. -We have a new manager who barely got any time yet to work with the players. We will be much better a couple of months from now, I'm sure. And we're good enough to win the league, IMO. And it's not that we CANT win the CL, its just that we're not favorites because we're not on that level just yet..

Not a good game for us .. But we already knew Real are better, they are Superstars, really a superb side. It will take time but eventually we will become much stronger.
