  1. What a start to the season, good to see that we continued where we left of last Season. Great to see Drogba score a hat-trick. contender for chant of the match West Brom give us a song West Brom West Brom give us a song
  2. Me too, it seems ages since we won the double. Heading up to the bridge sometime this afternoon. Good to see that there are no Engineering Works on the District Line, so hopefully it will be a smooth journey up to Stamford Bridge, unlike last year.

    Ipods

Thanks mate, I'll have to read up about the Nano. I'm always conscious whether my phone's battery is running low as I like to browse the internet and listen to music, so it'd certainly be handy to have a second device where I can listen to music and not have to worry about the battery on my phone getting low.

    Ipods

Now that I'm going to be going to quite a few of the UK Away games, i'm looking to buy an ipod to listen to music on the journey. I've got a Nokia 5530 which allows me to listen to music, but it's not pratical listening to music, searching the internet, taking pictures and using it as a phone as it uses up the battery life quite quickly. What's the best model on offer for an ipod? I'm thinking of the Ipod Shuffle is that any good?
  5. Think the nearest tube is Victoria, so you could take the tube to Green Park and then get on the Jubilee line to Wembley Park from there. There must be buses from Victoria too.
  6. I don't know what it is but I always find the Jubilee more crowded. I'll probably stick with the Bakerloo, hope there's no engineering works.
  7. Well i'd urge anyone not to bring them, there is no place for them here. How can you be concentrating on the match if you're blowing one of them?
  8. I think I went on the Bakerloo line last year from Waterloo up to Baker Street and changed for the Metropolitan Line up to Wembley Park.
  9. We already have 3 nice big shiny trophies, don't forget we won the Community Shield last season.
  10. FA: You can blow your vuvuzelas at WembleyThe Football Association bucked the trend today when they confirmed there would be no immediate ban on vuvuzelas at Wembley Stadium. The decision means Double winners Chelsea could be subjected to a barrage of noise in two weeks when they play the traditional season curtain raiser against Manchester United. A number of Premier League clubs including Fulham, West Ham, Arsenal and Spurs decided to bar the controversial instruments, which came to prominence during the World Cup in South Africa, from their stadia. But supporters will be allowed to bring them to the Community Shield on 8 August between Chelsea and United. The FA will then gauge the reaction to the blowing of vuvuzelas before deciding whether to ban them for future matches, including England's home international against Hungary three days later. The noise made by the instruments was a major talking point at the World Cup, with opinion divided over whether they added to or detracted from the atmosphere during matches. FIFA refused to ban them despite complaints from television companies and the FA, who are bidding to host the World Cup in 2018, will not want to be seen as partypoopers. source - http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/standard-sport/football/article-23858545-fa-you-can-blow-your-vuvuzelas-at-wembley.do So i'll be wearing my earplugs then for the Community Shield, great, thanks to the FA.
  11. I think we shouldn't panic too much, it says a slight calf problem so it may not be too serious. Just got to wait to see what the results of the scan say.
  12. Please can I change my username to just Ray. I think there was a user who posted something about FA Cup Final tickets this year and I think his name was Ray, so can I change mine to Ray. so just my name with a full stop?
  13. Really think they would ruin the atmosphere completeley and as Zolayes says it would drown out any singing/chanting. I found this facebook page - No to the Vuvuzela - http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/No-to-Vuvuzela/120977537943910?ref=search
  14. Great start to the new season even if it was only a friendly. Welcome back Michael Essien! :blue scalf:
  15. Thursday was the last day for Season Ticket Holders to buy a ticket and there doesn't seem to be any further announcements for members. Considering that the allocation was 26,300 for last year compared with 26,145 for this year you may not stand a chance, it all depends on whether the club gets a further allocation of tickets.
  16. I don't know much about Yossi Benayoun, but i think we should all give him the respect that he deserves now that he'll be wearing a Chelsea shirt. We need to give him time to fit in and find his feet. He'll certainly fit in with our 'Ageing Squad' as the media would have it and didn't we prove them wrong when we did the double last season. I'll be keen to see what he can do, welcome Yossi.
  17. Agree, when you think about how long it takes to show whether a ball is in or out in Tennis (a matter of seconds) it'd surely benefit football in the long run.
  18. I just switched the telly on at about the 50th game and couldn't believe what I was seeing. Almost ended as there was a chance to wrap it up as Isner was at match point at 59-58. Complete deadlock, hard to see how it will end.
  19. I can't believe that I won an award, I'm speechless. Thanks to those of you that voted for me. :woo:
  20. Really been looking forward to the announcement of the new season. Nice easy game to start with (hopefully he says), then aghhhh Wigan Away. A little worried about December, as we start with Everton at home, hope we can improve on the home game last season, then 3 big games against our biggest rivals, starting with Y*** away which is a must win imo. Can't really complain, looking forward to trips to Blackpool, Newcastle and West Brom particularly, oh and Arsenal away sounds good on Boxing Day.
  21. Only bugger is that I've only discovered that lately that I can't access Internet Radio on it which is how you access Radio 5, otherwise I can't complain.
  22. All I can say is I think I bought us a certain amount of luck by going to the CS last year, the fact it was my first ever football match that I had attended and it was against Manure made it an even sweeter victory So I will be going to the next one, can't wait.
  23. I've a Nokia 5530 Express Music.
