Good post, wasn't that the plan last season though? Realistically to me that was the plan, out with the old, in with the new. The plan didn't work though. I think if we keep these guys and bring in more people it would be good, and then after next season have more of a clear out. With a new manager coming in we're going to get that 6 months where everyone plays fantastic anyway...

That's what an academy is for though surely? Look at MU, the last people they had come through the ranks and establish themselves were Giggs, scholes and neville. (Fletcher isn't a cemented starter...yet, i say he's on and off) You can't forget that players like the da silva twins and Anderson are NOT their academy products.

I gave up on our Youth policy last season or the season before I think. I don't hold any hope whatsoever for our youth players to make it to the first team. It's just nicer to watch them play and track them than the first team. So now we're supposed to do what we did with Sturridge, for everyone? Give him 10 mins, everyone sees he needs more, loan him out and then sell him... We would've sold JT if he wanted to leave as well anyway. No hope for our youth, who was the last real MU player to break through from their youth ranks btw?

I think it's just because of their cup, top clubs don't want em as much anymore.
