  1. I think it's partly due to Hillsborough, tbf.
  2. If TV pundits and the like can't pronounce the names, Chelsea players won't be at the tip of anyones tongue. All we need to do now is change John Terry & David Luiz' name by deed poll.
  3. This time last year.. Alex should update the list.
  4. Just to add to my previous post regarding this. Redknapp is 'one of' the better 'domestic' examples, but my personal favourite even more than Heynckes is Guus Hiddink, because he literally 'matched' his league achievements. PSV: 1st tenure (1987-1990) - 3 titles 2nd tenure (2002-2006) - 3 titles
  5. Then the question has been answered.
  6. Yes. Ask Guus-fucking-Hiddink, Tony Pulis, Walter Smith, Jupp Heynckes, Harry Redknapp and the long list of others.. Do your research before spouting an opinion.
  7. Don't really agree with Styles' views on Mourinho & Mata (for the most part), but we do need members to play devils advocate.
  8. Haven't really been active enough this season on TC, but from what I've seen in general, Styles & Peace should get.. 'something'. A member who joined in Sept 2012, handing over 'king titles'.. hhmmmm
  9. Mourinho instilled that 'us against the world mentality', been pining for it ever since.
  10. Jose' is probably the only manager who could persuade Lampard to adopt a lesser role at the club. You could argue Benitez has already done that, but there's a difference between being stuck with an interim and being persuaded to sign a lesser contract with a lesser role. The timing couldn't be better for him really.
  11. It's gonna be surreal for him going up against Steve Clark, AVB & Brendan Rodgers. Looking back.. I was more distraught about Mourinho leaving than when we lost the CL final. Even though yes, things had turned sour.. it was still devastating, and I remember the moment and what I was doing when sky announced it. Never a dull moment at this club, but the return of Jose' would be grandiose.
  12. Same could be said (performance wise) for Barca-09 CL, still doesn't take anything away from the officiating though.
  13. Drama has been the theme of the season, and I don't see that discontinuing.
  14. In regards to the added time... Clearly the PL want to make the race for the top 4 spot a hollywood moment, because the actual title race was dull and clear cut. Last season the league was won on the final day. Thus, they need something similar this year, excitement for the neutrals etc.
  15. I wouldn't get too sewn up over the sparked captaincy debate, once Benitez leaves it'll be business as usual. Rafa has a lot of freedom in regards to team selection, nothing to lose, bridges don't need to be built with JT.
  16. 9.5/10.. love the retro stripes, adidas paying homage to previous kits, the collar and the dark blue contrasts work well. One thing I will say though, the back of the shirt is a bit plain, I loved the 'cfc' collar on the previous kit. Other than that tiny detail, it's perfect though. Adidas >>>>> Nike
  17. After those comments, the club should sit him down.. and give him a run through of comparisons between the two clubs. Powerpoint presentations.. the lot.
  18. Even worse!.. That's like what a 'Stoke City' or a 'Brentford' player would say about Chelsea. A Chelsea player shouldn't be saying that about fucking Man-City!.. It would only be a 'little' acceptable if it was said about the mighty Barcelona, but even then.. still unacceptable for an elite club like us.
  19. 'The window dressing' as you put it, is part & parcel of maintaining the clubs image. If you have players spouting stuff like "we we're frightened!" of tiny clubs like City, it sends out all the wrong messages. Essentially you have to be aware of how certain 'soundbites' can and will be taken out of context, regardless of intent.
  20. More than likely, non-technical/grass roots ethos type club. We mishandled a gem, and now he's worth upwards of £25m..
  21. Embarrassing comments, wish he had kept that to himself.. The problem is we have next to no 'physical presence' compared to City, even players like Ramires can be easily pushed off the ball.
  22. It's just come to my attention, that his 2nd failed trial for us at 15 years old was against... *wait for it*... Millwall!. According to his own personal account they just kicked chunks out of him, must have been a massive culture shock. The continued mishandling of youth by Chelsea FC, smh.
  23. Carry on like this and Yaya/Kompany/Clichy will be sent off, well.. with a proper ref anyway.
