Be that as it may. Hiddink was in an advisory role when we were looking for his replacement in 2009. And he publicly backed Ancelotti in the papers when he was appointed. So 'if' he recommended Carlo's sacking, he essentially made a mistake recommending him in the first place.

Carlo Ancelotti was appointed on Hiddink’s recommendation, considering he's been an advisor for 2 years and even backed Carlo publicly when he was appointed. So it makes no difference if he’s DOF or not, in that sense.
