  1. I was referring to a video on the sky sports news website. I remember he was interviewd a few times both during the season and at the end. "but for me next season it is very important to play first team football." So much for '1st sub' then...
  2. He said he 'should' be playing, not 'i want'.
  3. Of course. Sturridge should be getting more games than the likes of Kalou. My argument was purely towards the idea of him considering himself a first team player, who will be guaranteed a starting place.
  4. He scored goals for bolton, good. By all means make him 1st sub, and give him more responsibilities. Walk straight into the first team.... No.
  5. Yea, I'd say that quote alone is a good insight into his character. Sturridge seems to be the opposite of lukaku, because he (my interpretation from interviews) just expects to walk into the first team.
  6. The same could have been said for C.Ronaldo.
  7. http://www.guardian....transfer-window
  8. So Lukaku is joining next week, but still no news on a new midfielder.....
  9. Who cares what Robinho thinks anyway, he's still bitter after failing in the PL.
  10. Yes he knew the job was short-term in 2009, but what's changed?.. unless you are under the illusion this job has suddenly become long term. As a football manager, his tactical superiority over Carlo won't evaporate just because he 'may' be here for the 2012/13 season as well. He will need to make an extra effort to integrate youth effectively. Other than that, I don't see how he would have to manage in a 'totally different way'.
  11. Hiddink is a safe choice. Barca better hope for another crooked ref if we face them in europe. :eyebrows:
  12. I actually forgot about those price quotes lmao, so nevermind. €20 is good value.
  13. The prices that site quoted were €55 short side, and €65 long side.. That's quite steep considering the ajax tickets were €30.
  14. http://www.sportseve...d=4b0aa6c977352 Tickets seem to be on sale for the Vitesse game, although it includes a £9 delivery cost, so I might just wait and buy them from the ticket office on the day.
  15. Both Aguero & Lukaku are not needed. It's frustrating to see these threads gain momentum, and hearing no news in the sanchez/hamsik/pastore threads.
  16. Yes, I'm aware of the rangers connection, the friendly game back in the 80's etc. I was just mentioning the price difference for people who would potentially go just because it's in the UK.
  17. Lmao, what a waste of money. It's actually cheaper to go to the Amsterdam pre-season game (if you live in london).
