  1. Goalkeepers should never be captains.. JT won't captain England under Hodgson, FA appointed him because he will do as he's told, unlike Cappello who had principles.
  2. Van Buyten.. the guy who gave up two goals to Milito in Bayern's last final.
  3. Athletic have already stated they won't accept anything less than his release clause. Which is £29.5m, at that price we may as well compete with City & United for Hazard.
  4. The fact he attended the manchester derby was a big statement, he could have easily watched it from home. May as well close this thread.
  5. This could be a blessing in disguise. Losing Alaba, Badstuber & Gustavo is a major blow for Bayern, especially Alaba as he cannot be replaced equally. Luiz & Cahill are more than adequate replacements for JT & Ivanovic, Ramires is the only big loss.
  6. Spurs have an easy run in, watch them clinch 4th place now the uncertainty over Harry has ended.
  7. ^ This. It's what separates the top clubs from the great clubs, winning it would be monumental. Most people don't realise how massive it would be for Chelsea football club.
  8. ... Major Finals = World Cup & Champions League Ballack & Robben are cursed men.
  9. Not always, aesthetically the new Gold Chelsea shirt is the single greatest shirt in the history of this club, and it's far from 'simple'.
  10. It's the most basic kit I've ever seen, Warrior haven't got a clue when it comes to football shirts, so they've just played it safe.
  11. Mata has earned it, he had a better first season in the PL than David Silva. Besides, he was unjustly shunned for the 'PFA team of the year', lost out to Scott Parker FFS. We are no better than the players who disregarded him for that acalaid, if he misses out on this too.
  12. Oh ffs, watch him appoint Gerrard as captain.
  13. Real Madrid are a super club, in every sense of the word, they are the biggest football organisation in world football history. Ironic, because that is their USP, 'the manchester derby'. It's something we lack as a football club, that big rivalry with another 'top' team. QPR, Fulham & Spurs don't count. Fans will gravitate towards them once they start picking up trophies, marketing will take care of the rest. The criminal deal with Etihad has sealed it for City, bypassing the FFP was the turning point. Indeed, United winning the league this season changes nothing, City winning it.. changes everything.
  14. Barcelona is an anomaly, they are the supposed 'greatest team ever' for a reason. Once in a lifetime.. City already have the squad now anyway, and the criminal deal with Etihad means they have the upper hand. We failed to dominate for various reasons, Jose' sacking etc. History doesn't always repeat itself.
  15. City will dominate for various reasons & factors in which I have stated, which exacerbate once they break their duck. You are blind for not reading posts.
  16. Once that squad gets going (i.e. winning mentality) it won't matter. Prize money, the onslaught of new fans, more revenue. The etihad deal was the turning point, this will make things even worse. United won't be on top for long, Ferguson is nearing retirement. We needed United to prevent City's era of dominance to begin at such an pivotal point, with a healthy average squad age and the FFP around the corner.
  17. United winning it 'this' season may have prevented City going on to dominate. That's the point!.. United won't be dominating fuck all post-2012, especially with Fergie's era coming to an end.
  18. Lmao, very unrealistic targets, they've already stamped their domination on this era. It's unlikely we will overtake United's trophy records with Man-City in the picture. Remember.. City bypassed the FFP with their criminal deal with Etihad.
  19. Prefer? It's not a case of 'prefer', it's what outcome effects Chelsea FC negatively in the long term. City have already bypassed the FFP, they are ready to dominate for a few decades now.
  20. United winning the league makes no difference (one more for the pile), unlike with City. United win, and it's like the season never happened.
  21. I think the Chelsea fans who wanted City to win the title this season, ‘subconsciously’ want the sheikhs to overtake Romans success at Chelsea. Because they know City have a squad capable of winning it for a few years back to back now. Maybe it stems from an underlying indifference of our success under Roman, and that they want the Sheikhs to blow us out of the water.
  22. Chelsea fans shouldn't feel that way about United, they are not Spurs or QPR. City winning the league has MANY long term negative impacts on Chelsea FC directly, United winning it this year would have changed nothing.
  23. Really don't want the sheikhs to overtake Roman's success at Chelsea over the next few seasons, I know a lot of members on here want that though. United lift the title, and nothing changes.. almost like the season never happened. City winning it however..
