  1. Yes, everyone has forgotten that Azpi was one of our most consistent players....oh, smh. How about people are recognising that there's competition for spots in our squad and they're selecting them based on form? That was never 'obvious' because most people recognise that Ivanovic is a good player whom Mourinho likes a lot. He adds a different dimension to our play. The players who might be first choice for one game won't be for others.
  2. Nazism. Communism. Maybe not bomb it away but bomb it into irrelevance...easy. I agree it would be nice to battle it with knowledge but the illiteracy rates in some Middle East countries are frightening. Monitoring them hopefully, infiltrating them and hopefully black-bagging them.
  3. He should probably hold off until towards the end of the window and see what happens with Torres. Obviously Boro want him because he could be their Danny Ings.
  4. It's definitely an option. Doubt it'll happen but the spread of this form of Islam weren't go unanswered for long. Moments like this just make people in the West realise just how medieval these places actually are. There's no reasoning with that type of ideology. A racist Muslim state from the dark ages....as opposed to? I'm sorry, but this is a hateful ideology that people in this country are probably just coming around to understanding. The values and freedoms we cherish are simply incompatible with this ideology and neither will bow or compromise, so there will be conflict. That's the reality.
  5. So which player don't we register? Schwarzer and then register him in January? Could do but I really don't see the point. I think the idea of having Cech holding Courtois's hand for the first few months is a little overplayed by some. He's a top keeper with or without Cech around.
  6. He'll sign. It's guaranteed. I simply think Cech deserves to go now rather than be strung along. He's been replaced by a better keeper and he's too good to sit on our bench, as well as being too expensive for a back-up.
  7. Actually I'd be happy with carpet bombing them over there and profiling over here to eradicate them before they have a chance to set off bombs on the Underground or decapitate members of the British army on British streets. What IS has done is lose any type of sympathy their cause might have had and made life a whole lot tougher for Muslims.
  8. I didn't suggest that in the slightest. In fact that's ridiculously racist, small-minded and perhaps you should try reading what people say rather than just twisting it to fit your very predictable ideology. It's cute and everything, but once you've seen it a few times on the internet it loses it's impact. I've seen riots first hand in this country. Opportunistic thievery is by no means limited to one race or creed.
  9. And because flat-screen tvs are awesome. Plus you need an xbox to go with it, otherwise what's the point in stealing one?
  10. The best time to sell him is now, unless he's going to be left out for all the Champions League matches because a cup-tied Cech would be worth significantly less than he is now. In fact his value begins dropping from this point on. Schwarzer is a capable back-up for now, but the job is to find a homegrown deputy for the next decade. Ruddy is still a good shout although Jamal Blackman has a contract until 2019, but he needs first-team experience somewhere.
  11. It's a terrifying prospect and a real problem on our streets, and more accurately in the mosques in this country. Maybe we'll see some of the Muslims who protest on our streets about Gaza protest against IS....but they won't. Everyone knows that and they know why.
  12. The Islamic State claim to have beheaded an American journalist. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2729287/ISIS-beheads-journalist-James-Wright-Foley-warning-US.html Utter barbarism.
  13. I honestly think you pay far too much attention to superficial things like that. There are also sponsorship considerations to bear in mind, but mostly it's a comfort thing. Sometimes men like to wear a suit, sometimes you just fancy dressing down a bit. It's cute that you read so much into it but the cod-psychology is fairly laughable.
  14. That's a remarkable insight there. So you can tell from what he wears how he feels about the team? So when he's wearing a tracksuit like this, is he not feeling good about his team?
  15. Wrong profile for us. He's foreign and young, something we have in Kalas, Omeruo, Zouma and Christensen (feel like I'm missing someone). We need someone who's a little bit older because at the moment our defenders are either 28+ or under 21. Ideally you'd find someone homegrown and about 25.
  16. Agreed, although I can see him popping up off the bench in the role Mikel played last night simply because he needs minutes.
  17. It's a fair point. Last season he was playing a number 10 role and I think the expectations on him were just too great because whilst he doesn't do that purely creative/second striker role he actually brings a lot more defensively. Last night he actually reminded me more of Modric, dropping deep, linking play and popping up around the box. I don't think he was excellent and I think at times he was far too close to the player in possession which meant we lacked width but it was an interesting step in his development. He and Fabregas can interchange and that means we have far more options in an attacking sense. Fabregas simply has the vision to pick out a pass that Oscar will probably never have.
  18. The only change I'd like to see is Luis in at left-back for Azpi. He needs a start and Azpi was a little off his game against Burnley. Beyond that, I'd go with the same line-up. Oscar needs time in that midfield to learn this new role, and that means leaving out Willian and Ramires for this one although they'd be first off the bench for me. Courtois Ivanovic Cahill Terry Luis Matic Fabregas Schurrle Oscar Hazard Costa Having seen us last night, it's probably a much more fluid 433 system but I'll leave it like this. What's exciting is the movement AROUND Fabregas when he has the ball. Just very excited not just because it's the first home game and because it's Chelsea, but genuinely excited to watch us play more of the football we played last night.
  19. So does anyone still think we need to employ an attacking coach?
  20. Yeah I agree. His unwillingness to go outside on his left cropped up a few times and I'd be looking for Luis to start against Leicester. But it's a long season and those three can interchange (as well as Ake) depending on the circumstances.
  21. Great debut. One world-class save, but how many times did he just come for the ball and claim it? Looked solid, caught the ball fantastically but needs to improve his kicking especially to the right-flank.
