  1. Do people still envision him as the CAM?
  2. I would not be surprised if he got axed from Brazil starting 11 soon, since they realized his technically ability is so bad. However, Ramires, is a player you want on your team. He wins balls and isn't afraid to challenge (probably the most amount of could of yellow cards, lol) He has amazing pace, stamina and his finishing is good.
  3. they had an article recently, however, the ref commission or something came to Fellaini and apologized about the amount of yellow cards they gave him one season. Here what he said... "During my first season at Everton I got 12 bookings. At the end of it a delegation of referees visited the club to explain why I had got so many yellow cards. But they ended up admitting some of the bookings were unduly harsh. I ask myself why they get given to me. Anyways, back to the topic... I don't rate Mikel, teams sag off of him in the middle cause they dont fear attacking forward. The comment about his pass percentage rate is also useless, most of his passes are passes back to the CB or Cech.. Watching bayern play arsenal, I was so envious about the way Bastian and javi played. None of our current CMFs (Ramires, mikel, lampard, romeu) are anywhere close to what we need in the pivot roles for the team moving forward.
  4. LOL @ magic Lamps.. Anyways, Koreans these days are rather tall. If you look at the avg heights of the world, Korea is like 174ish, while Germany is like 178 and I think Uk is around 175. I'm pretty sure if you took the Korean national team vs Germany or England, the height differential would not be significant. I went back to Korea a few years back and boy I was shocked...The high school kids and young adults were mostly 180ish. Granted the older generation are not that tall, however, the new generation of children that Korea is producing are all tall (mostly). In Korea they stress this idea of well being and being healthy. So, everyone in Korea eats well, exercises well, etc. Also, with being thin, footballers should weigh little. Unless you play CB or Drogba type CF.
  5. Mikel didn't rearlly play well. He didn't stop the counters and Chelsea needed to score ASAP, not add a potential 30 more mins to the contest. Maybe, I dont really see it, however, I don't really understand what Mikel brought to the team yesterday....
  6. eh, I'm not a big fan of Mourinho. I wasn't a fan of Chelsea when he was here ( I started to watch Chelsea a lot after Hiddink came in), so I don't hold much sentimentally feelings like the rest of the other posters... I feel like if Chelsea do bring him back, he's going to want a complete overhaul of players. At Real Madrid he had the top players in the world for each position, save Arbeloa and maybe Khedira. However, at Chelsea, I don't really rate anyone on the team to be the top players for their respective position. Also, as someone mentioned before, he doesn't groom young players.... Our team right now consists of so many U-21 guys, I don't think he would be a good fit for Chelsea moving forward.
  7. Maybe for Chelsea, but for Liverpool, Athletico and Spain, he's probably one of the best i've ever seen.
  8. Anyone agree with his sub of Hazard for Eden? I would of much prefer Hazard for Mikel and bring Oscar into a pivot role....
  9. When you guys say small and big, do you mean height or weight/stature?
  10. Do top European teams punt the ball as much as Chelsea do?
  11. My two cents... I think the main problem with Chelsea and Torres was and is Drogba. Chelsea fans expect Torres to be a Drogba type CF, when that was never the type of player he was at Liverpool or for Spain. They expect him to win long balls, to hold up play, and physically dominate players with strength. I think torres tried to hard or he was force to be a player he wasn't. I do agree with the other posters though, that Torres does look to have lost a step, has more than his fair share of F ups and his body language is not positive. However, the team setup and personnel really doesn't showcase someone like Torres. (DO we ever play passes through the middle? like through the cmfs and Cbs?)
  12. I don't know if it was mentioned in earlier threads, however, I think Ki seung yeung would be the perfect person for the pivot.
  13. Question, due to FFP, if Jose comes and he cannot buy world class players, do you guys think he will be successful? I'm a big fan of Michael Landrup and I think he could groom this team to elegant and beautiful football, rather than having cech bomb balls for Torres to get.
  14. Hello, I have a question... Do you guys worry that Oscar will leave Chelsea for either Real or Barca. I know that both teams rate Oscar very highly and a few posters here mentioned he would do a lot better in a different league as well. In Barcelona, quite a few people envision a triplet of Oscar-Thiago-Busquets and I still feel that Oscar will eventually become a world class player
