I think Robben will be fine, but Ribery is a concern. His age is showing (however, their were reports that he was playing with a back injury during most of 2014....) Their best midfielder is the brazilian, not Kroos. Thiago is more dynamic and can pass better in pep's system. Neuer Lahm/rafinha/weiser-Boateng-Dante/batsduber-alaba/bernat Bastian-Martinez/Rode Robben/Muller-Gotze/Thiago-Ribery/shaq Robert/Pizzaro I highly doubt madrid will win, it took them years to win la decima and barcelona is an enigma atm. Xavi rumored to be gone and they still didn't buy a cb. Who knows how good their GK will be...

Munich is the best team on paper imo. This season, only one key player is injured coming in (Thiago) and they got significant pieces in Lewandowsk(CF)i, Rode(CM/RB), Bernat(LB) and the return of Batsduber(CB). Pep got more options now and may even bring in both hoiberg/green to more first team shots this season. In the preseason, pep been doing some crazy things with the team, so I have no clue how the team will line up and in which formation. He's been playing 3-4-3 so far....

Remy like the fastest CF since Owen/prime torres. I cant think of any CF faster than remy right now. Can you imagine remy on the counter.
-
Cavani would be the final piece and Chelsea will look like a Mourinho team. Chelsea should sell 1-2 ams with cavani coming in and torres, unless drogba role is similar to that of giggs.
-
Of course, England has world class facilities, while USA is a third world country with nothing.

NYCFC is going to be the feeder club for Man City, their Man City B team pretty much. GIves City the opportunity to play their young guys and get them on loan directly to a team that will benefit their mother club. As Chelsea does with vitesse, City will do with NYCFC. However, the huge difference is that NYCFC will do everything possible to grow their players so they can eventually rejoin man city. So, pretty much NYCFC will help Man City grow in the future and give their young players an opportunity to play . I really dont understand how you guys cant see the link.

Kroos had a role with munich. What role can you envision kroos to have with madrid? kroos' strength are all covered in the current madrid squad with better players, so what exactly is his role?
-
Apparently, we were wrong and naive not to see the link.
-
Fact is, Lampard could of went to the other teams in the MLS, but chose the city group team instead..... I think that where your missing the point. Lampard chose them knowing who their parent club was, who the owner was. etc.
-
Because lampard is an employee of City Football group now. He represents them. they also probably promised him life after football as well, judging upon the amount of marketing they are doing for both lampard and villa.
-
Yes, I'm naive to think that signing for NYCFC is completely irrelevant to Man City..... Villa will link up with Melbourne, who are also bankrolled by Premier League champions Manchester City, on loan until December before returning to New York for the club's debut season.
-
They dont start until 2015... Where would man city owners want their signings to play for? Im sure both lampard/villa knew beforehand that they was a good chance they would be going to man city for a bit before the mls season.
-
Apparently, signing for a team that shares Man City colors, owners, finances, etc is completely different than signing to Man City. Naive people.
-
Kroos is setup to fail... They already have a superior player in Modric and I doubt either alonso/di maria will lose their place. Kroos strengths are set pieces and long shots. Which Madrid already have covered with Cristiano/Bale/Benzema/Modric/Alonso... What exactly does Kroos bring to Madrid that they dont already have in abundance of. The proper signing should have been a no brainer, Vidal.
-
Huge difference. Kroos will flop, Cesc will not.

On the everton forum So obviously I'm as made up as the rest of you that we've managed to bring him back on a permanent deal (especially just after securing Barkley's future at the club), and now that he's officially an Everton Player, I think it's worth discussing whether he truly has the attributes to lead the line. Don't get me wrong, there is no denying whatsoever that he is an immense talent, my only question is whether we actually get the most out of him by playing him the furthest up the pitch. The times when he went missing last season, based on my observation, were times when he was forced to mostly play with his back to goal, as he struggled to get good shots off after shooting, and his touch would often let him down in these situations. Contrastingly, he was absolutely deadly when he was able to run onto the end of a through-balls, or when he got the ball deeper and was able to dribble at defenders, or when the ball was played between him and the goal from the goal line. Don't these attributes make him seem more like a number 10 a player suited to play in the hole just behind a centre-forward, than an out-and-out target man striker? Based on the above, I think two things could happen, either: 1.) He's young and has yet to develop the aspects of his game that would make him a deadly target man, and over time his ability to buy space to shoot when his back is to goal will improve, meaning his future at the club is as a number 9. centre forward. 2.) We use a formation that allows us to play him and Barkley directly behind a target man striker (Naismith or Kone?) who can knocked down headers or lay off passes for Barkley and Lukaku to run onto
-
Wait, so your saying rambo wont play 70 percent of the games?
-
36 yr old drogba still a better hold up player than a 20 something lukaku and current el nino.
-
because zidane played in the middle, therefore hazard has too as well...

4-3-3 Matic/romeu/mikel Rambo/mvg-cesc Oscar/salah-hazard/willian/schurrle Costa/ft9/drogba

If united do get VIdal, that would make them title contenders..... Their team is balancing out really well. DDG Smalling-Jones-Evan Rafael-kagawa/herrera-mata/adan-vidal-valencia/welbeck/shaw rooney/chica-rvp
-
Robben as an individual is as good as anyone save Messi.... But, Robben kind of crazy and the most selfish player known to man. However, he has really improved as a team player since his move to Munich and definitely one of the best attacking talents/players of this generation.
-
Runners are always useful on any team, which Salah is. Also left footed players as well.
-
Hypothetically, if Chelsea doesnt win, do you think Jose should be sacked? Meaning only EPL title and Champs league (not CC, fa cup, etc).
-
Pogba has potential to be the best cm in the near future and has a better peak than Cesc. However, if he does come, 1-2 ams should be sold and Chelsea should moved to 4-3-3 permanently.
