  1. Atletico didn't want to sign the deal though as they were hoping we agreed to pay them an inflated fee for Samu to cover the deal. Not sure what the owners were supposed to do, they accepted Villa's original bid (close to 50 million) and Gallagher rejected. They then accepted Atletico's bid and Atletico decided to do medical and then not proceed. The only thing I see for Gallagher is a late transfer window deal with Spurs as Ange was keen on him for a squad role and they'll offer a low ball amount just to see how desperate we are.
  2. Didn't we already serve a transfer ban under Roman? Think that was the time Lampard took charge and the club decided to give chances to the likes of Mount, Tammy, Tomori among others. What then happens to players on development loans?
  3. In before Disasi is the only CB we keep and we somehow manage to flip Badiashile and Chalobah. 😆
  4. Palace wouldn't agree to that. They seem fine with getting 55+ million for Guehi from Newcastle....then they can decide who they want at CB.
  5. He'll just play reserves/U-21 football for a season and then go on a free.
  6. So Gallagher's flight has been booked as per Romano? I see every other club lowballing us now as they know Gallagher can walk on a free in 25.
  7. The only other factor in this....how desperate Napoli are in terms of selling Osimhen to satisfy Conte's requirements.....and the fact that Conte specifically asked for Lukaku as his striker. Will be interesting to see what happens in the next week or so.
  8. Put it this way, I highly doubt Samu will be moving to any of the PL's top 6. City/Liverpool/United/Spurs/Newcastle are set at striker and I don't think Samu fits with Arteta's game plan at this stage of his development.
  9. The only club linked to Sterling is Juventus and they won't pay his wages. I wouldn't be surprised if those Madueke to Newcastle links came true as he would be 'easier' to shift than Sterling on those ridiculous wages.
  10. He may have settled down better at Arsenal, knowing that his mate Zinchenko was already there and there would be less pressure on him as a backup winger for Saka/Martinelli.
  11. He could of formed that opinion of Mudryk from watching most of his games last season (has the pace/acceleration to get past defenders but doesn't know what to do after that).
  12. Well I doubt Gallagher failed a medical considering how fit he is....wonder if it's Atletico playing hard ball on the Felix deal, making sure they get it sealed. The previous reports were that they had already agreed a deal with Guerra from Valencia and then Gallagher agreed to move to Atletico. Hopefully for Gallagher's sake, the deal goes through.
  13. He still has to agree to go there. The interesting part is, there hasn't been any real rumors of Felix back to Chelsea....and then as soon as we get a Mendes client on the books, it's all open. Wonder if Mendes said you can only have Neto if you help out Atletico with Felix 😆
  14. The biggest thing is, Jackson - Samu - Guiu never made sense. Why would you have 3 young strikers trying to develop at the same club at the same time? Ideally you want that experienced striker alongside Jackson and then you decide what to do with Guiu (if Maresca wants to play 2 up front).
  15. So that means they can't afford Alvarez and Gallagher without a significant sale (which was supposed to be Samu).
  16. That's not a surprise, why would he be training with the first team after being left off the US tour? Same with Lukaku.
  17. I think it's transfer fee and wages (I did see reports of him and his agent wanting close to 300k a week earlier in the window). I do wonder what Napoli have set as his asking price, if it's in the 50 million range, Arteta would be all over it.
  18. I hope the Premier League step in and do something about this, stockpiling talent doesn't help. I get the approach, it's just weird to see so many players at the same time. Miss the days of having a solid first team squad and then seeing those 2-3 youngsters from the academy get a few games in the cups (McEachran, Van Aanholt, Mancienne, Sam Hutchinson to name a few).
  19. So we signed a youth player for up to 19 million, just to loan him out and then sell?
  20. The hardest to sell will be: Kepa, Lukaku & Broja (sort of surprised we didn't try to include Broja into the Neto deal as apparently their manager was quite keen on him in the previous transfer window). Acheampong, Humphreys, Wiley, Angelo, Ugo will easily get loan deals elsewhere, just depends upon whether the club wants them to stay in England. I highly doubt Kellyman is loaned out, if that's the case, why did we buy him from Villa in the first place?
  21. They always do this and Chelsea is the easiest target in the world as Boehly & co love to go shopping on the player transfer market!
  22. The only way I see Mudryk going is if we somehow get De Zerbi to take him on loan at Marseille...(as he was one of the few coaches out there that was always a fan of his talent).
  23. How is it that Chelsea missed the one good CB from the French League.....and decided to invest into Badi/Disasi 🤬 We just spent 35 million on a Spanish kid who hasn't proven anything yet. Solanke's price tag is high but he was solid last season and would have been a good addition to most of the teams fighting for top 6 (with the exception of City as they have the machine upfront). We could have given Bournemouth their choice of Broja/Fofana/any other attacker in our 60 man squad as part of the Solanke deal 😆
  24. Fofana and James about to give him a treatment table right next to them! 😆
