  1. What did people expect from Petrovic? He's an MLS goalkeeper, not some massive talent that was supposed to come in and be our #1 option. 😀😆 He was exposed because he ended up playing 25+ games, if he had played say 5 games and a few cup appearances (just like any other team's backup GK), he would have been fine.
  2. Broja should have been shipped off to whichever club wanted him. At this point, he adds zero value to the squad, those injuries have really taken away his development. Lukaku is just waiting around for Conte to agree a fee with us, Sterling knows he won't get anywhere near his current wages so why would he leave?
  3. Yeh but you're forgetting the most important point, Jorgensen had the most saves according to this website: https://en.as.com/resultados/futbol/primera/2023_2024/ranking/jugadores/paradas-del-portero/
  4. I just don't see anyone paying 50 million for Gallagher. All his possible destinations in the PL are pretty much gone, Villa got Onana, Spurs got that young Leeds midfielder and even if Atletico are interested, they won't pay that sort of fee for him.
  5. What Colwill needs is a JT/Cahill alongside him to show him the way. I don't see him thriving next to Tosin or Disaster. Feel like that's been the problem with our defensive lineup in recent times, other than Thiago there was no other senior leader/voice. Go back to our best days, you had JT, Cahill, Ashley Cole, Azpi, Ivanovic....they were all leaders/captains on the pitch for club or country at some point.
  6. I'd be surprised if Matos, Richards and a few others like Castledine are not on loan by the end of the transfer window. As for players like Washington, Moreira, I'm not really sure what the plan was for these types of 'development' players as they are nowhere near our first team and likely won't be involved for many seasons.
  7. Neves looks a proper talent. Can see why so many clubs are keen to get him
  8. It's mainly Lukaku, Sterling, Kepa, Fofana (injuries have ruined him), Chilwell.
  9. He won't be going Saudi league at this point in his career, he's not a 30 year old looking for a nice pay day.
  10. Ugo is going on loan, they've already mentioned they are looking for a PL loan for him. Just because he's capable of playing a deep midfield role doesn't mean that Maresca will immediately trust him in that role. I see Veiga as CB/LB cover as we all know Chilwell will have his usual injuries.
  11. There's also that guy we signed from Leicester as well as Lavia being available this season and Carney would likely be in the mix as well assuming he's fit.
  12. Stole a march? There are reports coming out of Spain and France that Lille told Yoro that he wouldn't be playing any football next season if he didn't agree to the United transfer as they were offered almost double of what Real Madrid were keen on paying for a player with 1 year left. If he is as good as people are claiming, he'll be playing for a top european side by the age of 20/21.
  13. What do you mean by bought before proven? Dias was one of the better young CB's in Europe at Benfica, linked to so many clubs. Ederson was one of the better young GK's out there at Benfica, Ake had 100+ appearances in PL before going to City, same can be said for Akanji at Dortmund. City scouted proper talent and also that experienced profile (24 to 27 years old) to balance the squad. Where's our 24 to 27 year old experience in the first team XI? Who do we turn to if some of the youngsters have a poor game?
  14. That would be a statement signing from the club, but I expect Barcelona to get him, his best friend is there as well (Yamal).
  15. To be fair, South American attackers and Atletico Madrid just go so well together. Aguero, Falcao, Forlan, Suarez for that stint, Diego Costa (even though he played for Spain)
  16. there has to be a market for us to get 50 million for him. If there's only 1 club bidding for him, they'll just low-ball us into accepting 35+ million.
  17. CG will get minutes anyway considering his fitness is probably the best in the first team squad.
  18. They are actually selling their best finisher to Marseille. The way De Ligt is going through the 'top' clubs so quickly really makes you wonder what went wrong from his Ajax days. He was meant to be a very good defender but the way Juventus and Bayern are fine with selling him on...
  19. Surely one of the signings would be a solid goalkeeper like a Cech/Courtois back in the day. I just don't see how we are going to challenge for top 4 with that average defense and the likes of Sanchez/Petrovic in goal. Tosin and KDH help with squad depth but I don't see either of them massively improving the first team XI. Then you see the likes of Arsenal on track to get a proper Italian CB/LB. United bidding for one of the better young CB's out there in Yoro.
  20. Him and Rashford are so similar, plenty of talent there and due to lack of motivation/effort, they are both at home whilst their national team mates are one game away from the Euro Final.
  21. Barcelona won't be able to afford both Olmo and Williams in the same window. Olmo may end up at City if Pep is keen on a new attacker
  22. @TheHulk maybe we can do a Madueke + cash offer for Isak 😆
  23. I agree but I feel it's the same reason why we 'pulled out' of the Olise transfer as the deal was pretty much done with Palace but Olise apparently didn't like the wages + image rights that we offered.
  24. I feel like Mudryk/Jackson/Madueke would also benefit from being on more counter attacking opportunities as they can utilise the pace/dribbling to their advantage. It's interesting how the midfield is more setup for getting possession and working the ball up the pitch but our attack (bar Palmer) is like the opposite of that.
  25. Williams would want 250k+ a week or something like that, that's why a number of the PL clubs aren't that keen on the transfer.
