  1. Without playing him for 2-3 games, there's no way of knowing that. It seems like Sanchez is undroppable because he has his old mates from Brighton making the calls behind the scenes. It doesn't help when the club's head of goalkeeping is a Brighton import as well, guessing he came over during the Potter reign. Our goalkeeper on loan (Kepa) is helping Bournemouth fight for a spot in the top 6 and Sanchez is costing us points every other game.
  2. "squad building" isn't that difficult for him. Injuries are the real killer, No Rodri, Stones and Ake haven't even played 10 PL games this season. Just look at the drop off in quality we had when Fofana & James went down with injuries.
  3. or perhaps they want a refund on Mount's transfer fee....and selling Garnacho to us would achieve that goal. 😆
  4. Having a natural goalscorer in attack is just as important. Our defense was always going to be average as it seemed like the plan was hope James & Fofana stay fit for most of the season.... Just look at the way the top 6 is going this season, Liverpool/City/Newcastle all have players that can score a goal when needed and turn the game in their favour.
  5. Disagree, in terms of talent, Yoro and Mainoo are up there. Interesting that the initial rumors were about Mainoo potentially being allowed to leave and now it's all gone quiet. It's a bit worrying when United are 'okay' with selling a youngster like Garnacho...
  6. And then Maresca will face the media after the game "one mistake doesn't matter, he has saved us on 5-6 occasions...I trust him"
  7. Unless Haaland/KDB are out, City have more than enough to get past us. If our wingers or striker could actually score like Hazard, we would be in with a chance. Prediction 2-1 to City. It's Teacher vs Student and Pep will want to prove a point 😆
  8. Why would Amorim want Nkunku? Seems like they are all in for Viktor in the summer.
  9. If a player is doing well on loan and settled, why not let him complete the season and come back fresh for pre-season? I don't remember us having to recall Courtois or Christensen when they were on development loans. Would make more sense to cancel Ugo's loan at Southampton, considering they are likely to be relegated with or without him.
  10. Guessing that means Veiga to Juventus.
  11. Didn't he get demoted to like 3rd choice keeper at Brighton for a period of time? And yet, our sporting directors thought it was a good idea to sign him for 25 million or whatever the fee was. People used to say Kepa was bad, but Sanchez is just as bad.
  12. That only helps Napoli if Amorim wants Osimhen....seems like he would prefer his striker from Sporting
  13. Juventus want Tomori, Kelly from Newcastle and now Veiga as well.... Do they have any midfielders that we could loan in to cover Caicedo/Enzo?
  14. We signed Courtois when he was 19/20....and Penders on loan is meant to be one of the better prospect keepers out there. Feel like all we need is that experienced keeper to give us 3 seasons of solid game time.
  15. Part of that is on the manager, he lets players walk around the pitch for too long. Why wait until 80th minute to make substitutions? If you want the subs to have an impact, get them on 10 minutes earlier, let them adjust to the pace of the game.
  16. City are currently 8th and on 35 points...we somehow lose this one, massive red flags for upcoming fixtures.
  17. Will be the same for Kellyman (that random youngster we signed from Villa for FFP purposes) in 1-2 years time when he's sold to a Championship club for 500k + "future sell on clauses".
  18. Maresca didn't want KDH even though he coached him at Leicester? The only reason Tosin was signed was because he was an ex-City academy player (he had an offer from Newcastle which he declined once he spoke to Maresca)...similar reason to why Sancho was signed (ex-City academy player).
  19. The next month of fixtures: City (A), West Ham (H), Brighton (A) twice, Villa (A). Good luck getting many points without Palmer and Enzo.
  20. Bournemouth exploited that in the 2nd half on so many occasions, Madueke and Sancho not bothering to run back at all and Maresca decides not to make any attacking subs until 80th minute of the game. Maresca's lack of rotations and impact subs will continue to cost us over this period of games and top 4 is likely to slip away.
  21. Alvarez was one of the better young strikers out there, part of the reason why he pushed for the move to Spain instead of hanging around as 2nd to Haaland. Not sure if Nico could play that sort of role, seems like he's the type that needs to start.
  22. Thats how it is for most strikers out there, if you don't score goals, you have to accept the criticism. That's partly true and mainly due to Lavia not being available...which has meant way more minutes for Enzo-Caicedo to handle. It really is a shame that we lost Kante and Kovacic, all that midfield experience gone.
  23. Doubt the club lets Felix and Nkunku go without a good replacement in attack. Would be awesome to get someone like Rogers from Villa but they wouldn't sell a key player
  24. Agree with this, I feel it won't be as bad in the long run (on the right side of our attack) as we have the Brazilian wonderkid showing up next season. Wonder what the plan is for the left side of the attack as I doubt Sancho/Mudryk gets it done....maybe Jackson plays a bit off the left and we get a proper striker in the main transfer window?
  25. Exactly, the players don't go for the kill. Watching the game vs Bournemouth, we let them get on top in that first 15-20 minutes of the 2nd half. Their wingers must have been loving it, all that free space to run. Rather than being reactive, we should go back to what worked earlier in the season, which was going for that 2nd goal to put real pressure on the opposition. Teams know that we can't hold a lead at 1-0 and they bring their energy for the 2nd half.
