The main problems I have with fabregas is his ability to protect the ball from a marker when he's under pressure and his total lack of tactical awareness when the team is defending. Pirlo could do a 360 and pass forward easily anytime someone marked him down, but fabregas seems to panic and loses the ball. The worst problem is the 2nd one where he seems to be tactically naive and always out of position when we are defending, leaving spaces for the opponent to penetrate through the middle. People like Kroos and Alonso are slow, but they can easily play deeper because of their awareness and positioning. I hope Conte teaches him this part, even if he has to defend zones only instead of man-marking.

Last season we were so bad defensively(53 goals conceded) and through the middle of our midfield that I almost tore my hair out sometimes. Now with Kante we have our essien, Conte always loved his energetic box to box midfielder in vidal and we have kante for that role. Now all we need is a ball playing centreback and I guarantee we'll make top 4 easily, and even a proper title challenge if hazard brings his 2014/15 form to the table.

He is so passionate and demanding winning mentality but he's humble too and shows respect to who deserves it.

I'll honestly take him as a squad role player. He is a box to box midfielder like essien who drives through the middle and we have none in our team right now after selling ramires.

We could still manage, but not buying would greatly put a dent in Conte's tactics. Conte's system requires a defender who can pass from the back, but with ivanovic, Cahill and Zouma, we'll be hoofing the ball upfield and it'll force Conte to adjust and manage which is really annoying when we can avoid it before the season starts.

On twitter I heard Everton has outbid us for him. I hope it's not true, I hope its fake news sources. I've not given any opinions on our board members but if Everton outbids us on our major target after the stones debacle, the recruitment team of Chelsea should be sacked on the spot.

I'm hoping he instills a proper philosophy for us. It would be great if our players trained their attacking movements so that on the pitch, they look like they know what they're doing instead of looking lost like we did a lot in the last two seasons (passing around then giving ivanovic for a poor cross comes to mind, or passing to hazard and hope he dribbles everyone)

I think people who are expecting him to fail like he did last season are underestimating him, he might not win the league but his team will dominate. He has all the money he needs to buy the exact players he wants. I feel he'll build a team similar to his intermilan team Milito Eto Sneijder pandev Cambiasso thiagomotta Zanetti Samuel lucio maicon Ibrahimovic Martial rooney mkhitaryan Pogba/Matuidi Schweinsteiger Shaw Bailey Smalling Darmian Degea Subs- depay, Herrera, schneiderlin, Rashford He won't be forced to sell KDB, lukaku, Mata or Schurlle just to get money he needs to buy who he wants that fits his intermilan treble winning team. Even mkhitaryan was given £200k a week just to come. He'll perform. But with Conte, I'm sure we'll be right up there, we'll compete and have a philosophy in our team finally. I think fabregas played in the false nine position for Spain while xavi, Iniesta and Busquets were controlling the midfield for them. But fabregas controlling midfield is much tougher for him because of his mobility/strength on the ball issues.
