It's true that his first touch has been worse than lukaku of late but I honestly feel that if he starts shooting when he gets close to goal instead of delaying and overthinking he'll look more dangerous again

I sincerely hope that this goal brings his confidence back. I am not concerned like others about his poor first touch, he's always had a rusty ball control. What I don't like is his lack of shooting near the box. Fabregas put him through on goal and he refused to shoot and took too many touches and ended up loosing the ball. Just shoot more and he'll be fine.

Nzonzi of Sevilla. Is exactly this player. He's not fabregas in creativity but I think he's better than a whole lot of DMs in creativity. We should go all out for him, guaranteed massive improvement on Matic in attack while still providing us with the steel, height and defensive positioning.

When costa was in great form in the first half of the season, winning us games single handedly(Westham, Watford, Swansea, mancity, westbrom etc), hazard didn't have much attention on him. But Costa has lost form since the China problem and hazard has had only 2 or 3 great games in 2017 as a result. Too much attention is on Hazard because costa isn't carrying attention from defenders like before. Hazard isn't a machine, so I don't expect his dribbling to be on in every single match. What he needs to do is add variety to his game, so that when the dribbles isn't working, he can contribute with movement off the ball like Pedro and getting in goalscoring positions and avoid not touching the ball for long periods in a match.

Honestly I'm not too concerned about his finishing or lack of shooting like I used to be. What I want him to improve is when he doesn't touch the ball for long periods of the game. Only off the ball runs can help him with that. I've seen enough of him to realize that the excuses we made for him during the Mourinho days (defensive or parking the bus) is not the main reason he doesn't touch the ball for long periods.

Exactly. Hazard runs to get the ball to feet, trys to dribble or do a one two and run 9 times out of 10. That's why when you watch Chelsea games it seems hazard is the most man marked player in the world. That is completely false because he doesn't make enough off the ball runs to get away from markers like (Suarez, Ronaldo, Pedro, Schurrle, Bale, Neymar, 2013 robben) and a lot of other attacking players. When Hazard plays the striker role, he does it but RARELY on the wing.

Hazard makes as much off the ball runs as Willian which I consider not enough for any attacking winger that has a desire to score. He mostly wants the ball to feet, it's easy to mark when his dribbling isn't working. The only off the ball runs I see from hazard is during a counterattack or a one two combination. Pedro does that every time and that's why he's scored more than hazard since he started against Leicester in October.

He needs to meet with Pedro to teach him the meaning of making runs without the ball. The only style of play he has is dribbling and making one two's, and once that isn't working, he has a terrible first half like he did again today. Off the ball runs will add unpredictability to his style and make him not disappear totally in large spells of the match.

Fantastic goal from Pedro Hazard should meet Pedro to train him on off the ball movement. Hazard only wants to dribble or do a one two and that's all. But if hazard made more off the ball runs like Pedro, he'll be a far better player.

Hazard is our best player and once he has games like this when he isn't in the mood to dribble, he offers nothing else. Costa can't win any headers and is terrible with his ball control yet again. Zouma is having a horrible passing day at the back, even worse than Cahill. We need Pedro in attack and Willian should be sent back to wing-back, at least Pedro can score if he's in the attack. We need Azpi in defence immediately too to help our passing from the back, it's been dreadful
