Exactly. These amateurs still don't get it.
-
Not happening. Not a chance we can get a player PSG don't want to sell
-
I want city and arsenal out, the look on wengers face on another trophyless season is priceless. We can cope with the league, champs lge is not every week.
-
Hate both teams but hate liverpool more. Glad they are out now Everton come on!!!
-
Not a dm for quick transitions and high pressing. Too slow for that, and not enough energy. But in a slow possesion system he'll be okay
-
Sorry I'm replying late. This is the only thread I follow so it doesn't show me when I'm directly quoted. He moves into the middle a lot but he is mostly on the right. This willian is the same guy who looked unplayable against us with shaktar, he is utilizing so much energy with his hard work on the wings so if he is giving the lone No 10 role he'll show results.
-
Psg won't allow this. Do they want to sell??
-
Yea pellegrini learned and didn't attack at stupidly. They infact got most of their chances on the counter attack and sat deep. Hazard was totally man marked without any space and I didn't see him at all. Since they sat that deep, we should have put oscar earlier and got at them with the same approach we used at stanford bridge. But you can't deny that our players didn't look up for it, willian and hazard didn't make one dribble all game which is rare. Even silva was bullying ramires and collected the ball from him a lot in that match. That's why I said tiredness was a main cause of that flat performance. Yeah they seemed like they were playing with an attitude of not getting injured or something. They played so slow and no running or dribbles by hazard or willian. Only when oscar came on we had some life but it was too late. I still think it was partly due to tiredness and city was far fresher after having their game called off.

City had one week rest, we had 3 days rest. Our system is costly with fewer days rest than the opponent.
-
He's been on bad form for months now, and his bad side has been laid bare for all to see. Great athlete, but I don't know if he can ever improve his decision making. He just seems like a very technically limited and unintelligent footballer for a CM. Desperately needs to get back to form
-
We missed his mobility in midfield. We would have dominated more with him and matic there.
-
I'm actually excited to see matic-mikel I hope matic is the main DM with mikel having more freedom
-
Or has oscar been riding out his luck since the beginning of his career?
-
Maybe I am overstating his impact. But I don't know why these managers seem to like oscar and play him in their teams over creative people like ganso, coutinho and mata? Is there something they are seeing that we are not?
-
Nope if oscar did it only in chelsea, I will understand your quote. But he did it for Brazil NT and youth team. His impact is underestimated because he didn't do any tricks and flicks. Not everyone has to be a zidane to have a massive impact for our team. You can be a ballack, a kaka, a muller, an edgar davids, a seedorf, people without 1million assists/chances created but are one of the most important people for their teams.
-
I know what you mean. But I'm sure ramires will play because silva comes to overcrowd the centre. Ramires was key because of his defensive solidity and energy to get to the end of our attacks faster than anyone in our team. If it was a pure 4-2-3-1, we won't find 3 cms in the same lineup. What we played was almost the same formation against tottenham first half, but we executed it more perfectly against city(maybe bcos of matic)

If we were at home, we'll probably play this. But we are away I'm 100% sure that we will play 4-3-3 and not 4-2-3-1
-
Oscar displaced ganso from the brazilian NT. Ganso was a creative beast, with nice tricks and flicks but brazil were not a force in this period. Oscar becomes the new 10, and Neymar becomes a goal scorer and they are now among the top strongest NT sides in the world. Oscar displaced mata from Chelsea. Mata was a creative beast, with nice tricks and flicks but Chelsea were not a force in this period. Oscar becomes the new 10, and Hazard becomes a goal scorer and chelsea are now among the top strongest club sides in the league. Similar??

Telling mourinho that he is afraid of failure is a direct insult especially coming from someone that is living in failure. Wenger got the response that he deserved.
-
True, I like luiz in the midfield in big games. He comes alive. We will lose that now. And he is playing in defence against a team that crosses a lot. I hope he can put a brazil NT performance today.
-
Not confident about this. Both terry and cahill out is not looking good
-
Wenger got the nerve to say mourinho is afraid of failure and got exactly what he deserves.
-
That's what they said about Moyes
-
No need for this to be a big deal, the media are just feeding on stories. We should be able to come to a point where saying I'm gay or I'm straight have equal reaction. And we should be able to come to a point where I can say I don't like kanyewest and kim kardashian together, while also I don't like elton john and his gay partner. Without getting sacked in my office because I said the later, bcos technically they mean the same thing.
