Please tell them what drogba had in abundance more than any striker in his prime. [Heart and the will to run, hustle, get opponents booked, win freekicks, fight to score, getting into the box to tap the ball at EVERY cross just to score,]. All these are so important because if u have only technique and u don't have that heart, you can only stop at balloteli's level and not progress to where costa is now.

I know he's better than what we've seen, bcos of limited chances. But he's still no where near the level of strikers I listed in my previous post. If we win the champions league, we'll be the first club to do so with this level of strikers.If we win the EPL, we'll be the first club to do it without getting 15 goals out of any of our strikers. Eto can score at home but is shit away and is too slow and can't beat a defender. Ba is tall, but is weaker than his size suggests, slow, not creative at all. Torres is torres. We've been going in the league with stoke city level strikers, we should do better with strikers that beat players with speed, score wonder goals to bail us out when we play bad, create chances for hazard, and have good technique on the ball and not lose it with their every first touch. (Suarez, aguero, rooney, sturridge, cavani, tevez, ibrahimovic, diegocosta, lewandoski) practically every top champions league challenging team except chelsea have this at their mercy.

He's a good player, but for his worth, this season has been a disaster. His skill set is built for a quick paced team like madrid and not a slow possession team like barca.

What's our clean sheet record and how many clean sheets are we on now? IMO Its impossible to beat 2004/2005 where we conceded only 15 goals.

True. He likes strength on the ball, power in his shots, freekicks specialists and is english. Will replace lamps completely

I haven't watched alonso this season but last seasons alonso is still > matic. He combined tackling with xavi level passes. Matic is still no 1 in tackling, he's ridiculously good at that, but even though he's contributed directly to goals with good long passing, he still doesn't control the midfield as well as alonso offensively. But he'll get there.

If u saw him at benfica, he was even far better than he is here.They rated him better than witsel (who many want here) by miles. 4 assists in 10starts from DM, Player of the year in portuguese league. A DM doesn't win that by being one dimensional

I am still fucking shocked at how eto missed that chance. In front of the open goal and he shot off target, after watching liverpool and mancity clinically scoring it was annoying seeing that.
