Willian pushes the ball forward and tries a low cross or he passes back to oscar. Similar technical abilities but different mentality. I've studied our style of play and we are more of an individual team in possession than a team play style. I said in some thread that we needed another winger on the right that has 1. Close control dribbler (which means the ball sticks to his feet when dribbling. Eg. Robben, Ribery, Dimaria, hazard, reus, shaqiri, cuadrado, Sanchez, benarfa etc) this type of players are important against parked buses when there is no space. If we have another on the right, hazard will be a free man. 2. Contributes to goals or assists because of accurate crossing, finishing or vision. Because of our style of dribbling through defenses rather than passing through defenses, this type of player on both wings instead of only hazard will elevate our play badly.

We changed to a more attacking formation especially after we brought on Hazard. Only 3 defenders with Matic is enough for these small teams

It's not about the quality. It's the fact that oscar cannot pass to willian and move for the return pass.(1-2) Its the fact that the tempo is still too slow and this means we will depend on hazards dribbles to make things happen before we speed up our attacking play. If we do a linkups and the players overhit the pass then I'll understand, but it's beginning to worry me that there's no passing movement in our play when lallana/Rodriguez/lambert were linking up in attack last season but are not near the quality of Oscar/willian/schurlle

We don't move after passing. We don't look like we've practiced any passing moves. It's worrying. It always seems like people who met each other are playing together for the first time. No one twos, no nothing.

Ramsey is some player(he reminds me of lampard so much). Has to be one of the best box to box midfielders imo. In fact arsenal dropped off the title race because he got injured and they closed in again when he came back and finished 3points behind us.

He seems like a deep lying playmaker to me. And they blossom later in their careers like modric and xavi.

If they get Dimaria, I wouldn't put it past them to outscore their problems like Liverpool did last season. Let's see how things pan out

I edited my post. But most of the time, that slowing down is the wrong decision. If he quickly gets at the defender and he gets into the 18box, he has provided a shorter route to the box. A lot of chances created by Holland in the worldcup was due to how quickly robben attacked the box, the hazard method of waiting only works when you have runners off the ball or worldclass attacking teammates which we lacked in Chelsea last season. Maybe now costa and schurlle will help with that slowing down style with their runs but hazard has to play like the onus is on him to do something more often to reach his potential. His technique and dribbling is already worldclass IMO, he has nothing left to develop except this and finishing and mentality to attack his marker, or else he could still be at the same level in 2-3years time like wilshere/nani/quarezma and many others with ballon d'or potential at 22.

He slows down too much for my liking. That is why it seems he is crowded out EVERY single time. People like robben/Dimaria are far more dangerous for both club and country but he doesn't seem to be as crowded as Hazard. It's not because opposition is stupid to notice their dangerous, it's because hazard slows down too much when he can take advantage of a 1on1 situation.

He is like mikel, in the sense that he follows the coaches instructions, and tactically executes them. But to become a better player one needs to impose yourself in the match, and Willian does this rarely.

Exactly. We said this last season that we needed a striker to bale us out when we aren't playing well. Torres waits for the ball to land on his feet in front of the post before he scores and he doesn't score an individual goal while our rival have that in abundance (rooney, vanpersie, aguero, Suarez,). I didn't know costa had dribbling in his locker, I'm very happy with what I've seen so far.

He's a technically and tactically sound player, but he's afraid of the 18box, afraid of taking on his man towards goal. He should start asserting himself soon or he would be used only when we want to kill the game like mikel.

1. Chelsea 2. Mancity 3. Manutd 4. Arsenal We would need 89points to clinch the title this season. Manutd will start very well and drop off to third. Arsenals position could change depending on injuries. If Walcott, Ramsey, Sanchez and ozil stay fit, then I see them as high as second(bold prediction I know) Mancity is our biggest challenge, they could easily get 89points if their key players are fit(Aguero, yaya, silva, Nasri) But if we get our small team problem solved, and maintain our big match performance, we won't need to worry about the rest to win.
