Mourinho beats a lot of teams because he is the best at detecting opposition tactics and finding a way to stop it. This is how Mourinho always beats wenger, Ferguson and Rodgers. He knows what they will do, he knows how they'll play, he knows they'll stick to their philosophy. So Mourinho plans how to stop the philosophy and then give freedom to 3-4 players to do what they like (not what they practiced) The thing with mourinho is that he too has become predictable. Every top manager in Europe now knows he wants to sit back and let only 3 players counter. In a big match, I already know before facing him that he'll not practice the counter attack pattern, I already know that it's only the defensive shape he will train his players to do. So I don't need to stop the tactics, I just need to make the few players he gave freedom have a difficult time. This stopping of the attacking players is even more easy than it is supposed to be because the players are attacking with what they feel, instead of what they practiced. If they practiced a few attacking patterns, our attack will be faster since it is rehearsed. With this knowledge, I think Mourinho needs to hire an attacking coach. There is no shame in this, Ferguson the greatest manager did this, and a lot of other coaches. If Mourinho knows how to stop opponents tactics, imagine how much better we'll be if someone handles the attacking approach so that it'll be faster and look like something rehearsed. This is my opinion on how Mourinho can improve

I just don't get why we were so slow and without intensity in the 2nd half. We were walking slower than ibrahimovic went down the tunnel. See how PSG attack us with faster passes and making runs during possession, but we are slow and only costa made any runs even though his touch was horrific.
-
How poor was his passing today??? Fucking hell. He already can't win headers but at least pass the ball well.
-
Just poor. It was just left with the final ball in the first half, I thought he'll keep it that way but he clearly slowed down our play in the 2nd half showing clear intentions from Mourinho. I've never been so annoyed with him for a performance as I am now
-
Lmao. We were so good in the first half, then he goes and changed the formation. This defeat is on him
-
He might be a sloppy passer but his pressing is the key to our offensive style. No other person can replace his pressing effectively

Fabregas showing hazard how to scream when kicked
-
If we get the same ramires we got against westham, that's more attacking than Willian has ever been
-
Mostly injured every 2nd period of the season. But its a worry it has happened almost all through his career
-
That's because he got away with murder. Him Verratti and Luiz took turns to kick hazard because that was the only way you could stop our attacks. He's no match for Hazard in with a fair ref. In fact if it was messi or ronaldo or Neymar that was kicked 9-11 times in one match there would have been a red.

Schalke 4-3!!!!
-
I've been thinking about this too.People from Spanish and french leagues do well here in England. The rest have lower success rate
-
Happy 110 years Chelsea. Fantastic club, fans and players.
-
4-3-3 is absolutely the way to go if we seriously want to counter attack. Courtois Iva Cahill JT Luis --Zouma-- Cesc Matic Willian Diego Hazard This is because the two midfielders in front of zouma (Matic and fabregas) will cover the wings defensively when Hazard and Willian move forward. Fabregas will be closer to the pivot where he can dictate play. It's far better for us to play with that formation. In fact I might be liking the idea of zouma in midfield because I don't like how physically dominant they were over us in Paris. No one could beat Chelsea of 2004-2008 in a physical battle and I want us to keep those values instead of letting ibrahimovic do a drogba on us.
-
Nooo!!!!!
-
Costa isn't perfect but it's shocking to see the amount of ungrateful fans here especially after years of suffering with torres. The top scorer in the epl is being criticized like he's manutd striker
-
Is he matching his best form?? 2011/12 all comps total: 60 apps, 73 goals, 29 assists on 08.03.2012: 42 apps, 48 goals, 21 assists 2014/15 on 08.03.2015: 38 apps, 41 goals, 20 assists

Iva-zouma-terry-azpi Matic Ramires - Fabregas Willian - costa - Hazard Let's play a 4-3-3 with Matic infront of the defense so that counterattacks will be easier for us. We should put zouma on ibrahimovic so that he doesn't turn to be a drogba against us again. Hazard should scream anytime Verratti kicks him, so that he doesn't get injured from being too nice. And we can counterattack more when he isn't on the floor. Costa should win headers to hold the ball up the field when we kick it in the air, we're not Barcelona, we can't only play on the ground. The pitch is smaller so less space for PSG to be passing. We'll win if we use a 4-3-3 instead of 4-2-3-1
-
Since you watched it again, did you notice the amount of aerial balls Ibra won in the air? It made it so easy for PSG to get the ball close to our defence. That was what I noticed during the game, very frustrating knowing how good terry and cahill usually are.

Madrid gameplay. Cross cross cross cross cross
-
But but but, they pass the ball around and don't play long ball or park the bus
-
The guy is a beast. Proper essien replacement.
-
It seems I'm the only one here who likes Tim sherwood. Poor tactician but good motivator. If he learns a little tactics he could keep villa up
-
The guy is good, I can't deny. He's so strong on the ball. I love players who make it difficult for people to collect the ball from them. Among strikers, he is second to aguero in the ability to shield the ball without losing it.
