Juan mata Appearances for CFC= 64 Goals= 16 Assists= 30 This is a great record for just over a season in chelsea and his just 24 years. Mata is much more of a goal threat than silva and cazorla bcoz he is a more direct attacker also he is a very incisive player (more than the other two).

I believe that for us to buy falcao we MUST sell torres so that it will be a direct replacement . We can do what barca did with Etoo in ibrahimovic swap(although in that case etoo was always the better player)
-
@ mediator Drogba was always absent during ACN didn't hurt us. More over we will always have sturridge and torres and also lukaku to come in. torres(50m pounds) Lukaku(18m pounds) Falcao (47m pounds)=114 pounds. In my honest opinion that's an insane amount to spend for just one striking position in our team, I mean we don't even play with two strikers at a time. I'd prefer a decent striker(Dumbia) and strengthening our DM position. I know its not my money but as a true fan I don't want our club to go into administration if we buy the almighty falcao and don't win enough trophies or become like liverpool now take a look at madrid and their galacticos they heavily under achieved.

Radamel Falcao: Age=26, Appearances=252, Goals=166, Market Value=47m pounds Seydou Dumbia: Age=24, Appearances= 196, Goals=120, Market Value=20m pounds(only!!!)

PERFECT BUY Seydou Dumbia: Age=24, Appearances= 196, Goals=120, Market Value=20m pounds(only!!!)

@Muzchap wrote: 1) Not your money is it? 2) Drogba was also expensive? 3) bullshit, his job is to put it in the net - simple. We also have other players that can score - suddenly they won't because we got Falcao? 4) bullshit again - specific types of goal, don't make me laugh, he's a striker, he puts it in the net - simple... 5) same was said of Hazard and Oscar... 6) Our evolution is stalling due to a stuttering Torres, he was bought to do the job that Falcao is currently doing at AM... How is scoring goals a backward step? No offence dude, but your post really pissed me off for some reason... We need a Goal Scorer... ? My opinion: (1) Have u ever heard FFP (2) Geez drogba was only 24 Million falcao is well above 40 (3)If you ever watched athletico madrid you will see that falcao alone seems to score y? And when he gets injured they find it difficult to adjust and hardly score more than 1goal per game in his absence that's jst over dependence (4)Torres or thiery henry at their peak for e.g always take 1 or 2 touches to set the ball as they like it before scoring(that's a specific way of scoring for them) unlike say van persie or drogba who are more direct. (5)Hazard and oscar are not strikers they don't compete with huge or fast defenders all the time as do strikers theirs is a deeper role and physical strength is a key part of falcao as he is an agressive striker esp in the air so if he is not tougher in the Epl he might not be as good (6) Having a specific goal scorer only for a big club is a backward step just take a look at messi and the current barcelona (not so strong as when there was variety) We need a goal scorer? I agree with you on this but falcao? I don't agree we have bought better players than falcao who where also as expensive so I don't want him. Torres to falcao to me is from frying pan to fire. I say we buy SEYDOU DUMBIA he is much cheaper than falcao and yes dumbia even has a better goal scoring record than falcao and is only 24 years of age. Dumbia is cheaper, younger and is more prolific than falcao

Romeu is a great back up for mikel when he leaves in january and he proved it last year. Thanks to good depth in our squad. Romeu for mikel, marin/sturridge for moses. Quality for quality no loss.
-
He scores like a good striker marks like a tough defender and possesses the ball like a world class midfielder and dribbles like a tricky winger. Ok just an idea but may b oscar shuld b tried in goal if cech gets injured. haha
-
Josh and oscar in the same sentence??? Well all I can say is josh shuld prove himself at middlesbrough not to talk of England. Bottom line is aint no one holding him down!!!
-
Did he? If so double chelsea combo
-
Scores his second from mikel assist #funny
-
Yep nice penalty
-
Has just scored 4 nigeria. He looks good

We all like falcao because he is the best right now but just to look on the other side I feel the need to point out his imperfections or unsuitability for our new look chelsea fc: I like falcao but I don't want him at Cfc especially now that we are playing more like a team for this reasons: (1)He is almost 27 and will b very expensive for his age (2)Buying falcao will show we have learnt nothing from the high profile signings of sheva and torres who were also at a time the best striker in the world. (3)I can't remember the last time falcao gave an ASSIST which means unlike a young drogba he is not as good a team player and players like mata will score less taking us aback in our evolution as a team (depending solely on falcao for goals). (4)Falcao unlike say drogba scores only specific types of goals usually from the right/left side of the 18yard box (which he positions himself for hence his precision). Playing in a big club like cfc makes a striker a marked man variety in goals is key (5) His physical attributes and speed might look significant in spain or portugal but in EPL he might not be so strong or fast. (6) Our evolution as a team is taking the shape of a team that will suit any striker so I don't want that to stop seeing that falcao is an individual striker and also how hard it has been for strikers to adjust since our dependence on drogba. My first thought says falcao but these are my second thoughts what are yours?

CHOULO19 Wrote: We should care because if all of our goals come from central build-up play then the managers of our future fixtures will now how to defend against us. My opinion: To make u feel better all our goals have not come through the center. And RDM is a flexible manager so he will surely know wat to do but until then as long as our trinity is as mobile as they have been and as effective I have no complaints. NOTE: The problem with width is dat it makes it hard for us to maintain our shape defensively when we loose the ball remember AVB was all about width and highline as he still is with spurs and they always concede goals. We can't play with much width because we've changed from 4-2-1-3 into a 4-2-3-1, except the wide attackers are stationary which then makes it a 4-2-1-3 like e.g R.madrid but ours are in rotation in a 4-2-3-1 which means more mobility in the center. Width is more suited to 4-2-1-3, 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 formations so every formation comes with its solutions and problems depending on what players you have. If we must continue using our trinity Then width will always be an outside problem bcoz of the formation but creativity in place bcoz of their abilty but if we must revert to width then our No. 10 will always be faced with possibly 2 DM's e.g dembele and sandro against spurs and our defense might not be so good bcoz the deeper midfielders always have to come and support the No. 10

Nothing NEW! This boy is just Bad Ass.

Cech Iva..luiz..terry..cole These are the Best back five combination in the world today and they may give us another champions league. I hope so anyway
-
Mata is a big game player even almost if not as much as Drogba or second only to drogba since his arrival I don't know where this talk of mata not being a big game player is coming from. Get the chelsea DVD for last season to clear your doubts
-
With 16 goals in 4 games who cares about the tag "width" anyway.
-
What a wait! Hope our team make it worthwhile after this long break. I still think our squad against arsenal is our best for Big games especially games that might be played at high tempo.

@ Atholy wrote: BUT to make you feel better: but if we loose oscar(a very rare kind of talent much like Lampard) who do we buy??? NOBODY! => Let me remind you of a certain young player who is on a loan at Werder Bremen at the moment, who is a rare talent (perfect doublure for Lampard in the near future) and who goes by the name of Kevin De Bruyne (or KDB)!! My Opinion: Exactly my point KDB is also a much rare type of player to find than the likes of Mata. Only problem is KDB = rare talent on loan. Lol.

@TorontoChelsea I agree with wat you said concerning width since you don't mean it in the strict sense of having a player playing permanently wide but one that can drag players wide to provide space but isn't that what Hazard is supposed to be doing? Our manager has commented before that hazard was not incisive enough on the wings in the first two games but I've seen oscar trying to create on the wings (vs stoke cutting in from the wing to take a short, vs wolves where he assisted moses goal, vs nordsjaelland where he assisted ramires goal, vs norwich where he beat his man on the wings to send a cross for Ivanovic's goal, he also beat two norwich players on the wings to feed in torres vs norwich) much more than hazard which may be worrying. Anyway I've watched Marin a bit and I think he is the best at providing such width even more than moses and may be hazard because Marin is very incisive with his dribbles and passes from the wings cutting into the 18 yard box or going wide but the problem is marin cannot provide as much energy to the team as Hazard does, moses can provide width and energy but is even less incisive than hazard although moses did well vs Qpr(but not so well vs nordsjaelland). So could the solution be Neymar??? I know I'd luv him in the squad(Incisive, skillfull, has energy and width)

@ Zolayes if you really think players like Mata are even fairly easy to find you should give up playing FM and work for a club we have had a short time to see what Mata can do ..I really hope Oscar turns out as well My Opinion: That's what arsenal fans will probably say about cazorla or mancity fans about david silva. To prove my point even the spanish coach said the reason he chose not to select mata is due to a problem of quantity(many similar players). In spanish teams alone you have a lot of similar players to mata(silva, iniesta, cazorla, munain, isco, etc) in german team(ozil, kroos, goetz) so all I am saying is that he is a great player but there are a number of players with similar attributes to him. About Oscar, there are really very few right now with all the qualities he has in one package and as for me he was better than most in the olympics and you can see he seems to have won our No. 10 spot for now moving mata to the right although rotation is in place. I'm not saying oscar is the better player all I'm saying is that his type is much more RARE. Get it in.

My opinion: This is a Non-issue as we are playing to our strength which is the midfield. Width means aerial crosses from the wings as bosingwa used to do so carelessly, but for who? No drogba anymore. We've adapted to torres who is a good combination player so time to move on and centrally too.
