Sun If anything from this interview, I take it that we would like the best surroundings for the players leading upto the final should we get there. LFS has been terribly misquoted to create a SHOCK...ARROGANT Chelsea claim. YAWN.
-
Anyone we look to bring in is going to be making very few appearances. Once DD is back in full fitness he'll be first choice, then Anelka. They might get in ahead of Di Santo, but how many games will he get once DD is back. I cant see any striker willing to come under those circumstances unless they've no ambition.
-
They'll be wary of our abilty to hit on the break, but they have to go for it. I still wouldnt write them off as having no hope. Anything can happen, we are the better and stronger team and should win. It doesnt mean we will. 2-0 Chelsea me thinks

Having Ballack here atm may help. Then again we dont know how they get on as Ballack isnt exactly flavour of the month in those parts right now.

Anelka wants to partner Drogba

Theres no way we'll change formation. Anelka will have to do with playing as a sub when DD is fully fit. Kalou and Malouda have been doing ok so far. Both have their moments of stupidity, but having Anelka out wide were he's not as effective would be a step backward imo. -
He went off the football radar for a while. I dont know if he was injured or not, but he certainly looked one of the better players in the German side suring the summer. Has a bit of a hot head though which would be something he needs to sort out.
-
Ahhhh....the Pig Farmer I've always liked him as a player. He's still in his early 20's and he's got bags of experience. He would definately be a player I'd like to see at SB.

Goal.com We do need an extra striker more for cover than anything else. Fabiano would cost a considerable amount of cash, and even if we were to sell a few fringe players I dont think we could get enough cash together to make Fabianos club part with him mid-season.
-
Football 365 Interesting......Would LFS change his formation to accomodate both strikers? Personally I dont think so. If its not broke dont fix it. I still think DD will be ahead of him when both are fit.

Dialy Mail I'm hoping everyone who travels over for the game gets home safe. The days were you expected the Chelsea fans to get stuck in while abroad are long gone, I just hope the Police dont get a bit out of hand let alone the Roma fans.

Its getting too Americanised. When I was a kid you made a bit of an effort. Nowadays they put their coats on back to front and stand there...... "Halloween".........Thats it, no singing, lit up pumpkins..... fuck all. I make then stand there and sing. If its not good enough I make them do it again. I make them work for it.

Drogba returns, Carvalho out for a month
Aesthetic Relic replied to BlueLion.'s topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I know you have to be in the right place to score goals, but with his current goalscoring abilities, he's looking like Gary Linekar When was the last time Anelka took the ball and with some magic he bamboozled several defenders before rocketing one into the back of the net? Answers on a postcard -

Theres always a scapegoat who'll get it in the neck. It just happens to be Anelkas turn -

Oh really ???? If you scoured the match threads I'm sure you'd find hundreds of posts with...."FFS ANELKA"....or...."How did he miss that"...etc.....etc.... We have to have something to moan about. It creates debate -
Rangers fans. Not quite sure how they worked it, but I'm sure they were asked if they wished to come along to the game for VIP treatment and guests for the game. And well done to Chelsea also as Shed Head mentioned. We need to embrace these men/women who have been away putting their lives on the line and give them a fitting welcome home. Past and present.

Cheers Kez....just couldnt be arsed looking it up for myself Good girl...have a cookie

Depends which way you look at it. If they're saying from now, when he gave the interview it could be 6 months, but Essien could have been saying from the time he had his operation which was a while back, not quite sure of the exact date, but I'm sure he got operated on pretty quickly. So January still may not be as far fetched as its being made out.

Stole one from Alex, the other two put on a plate from Malouda. He'll still be on the bench once DD hits full fitness

A round of applause to Liverpool
Aesthetic Relic replied to Joe Cool's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Cant wait to get onto this other forum and rip the shit out of them. They've been banging on all week about how good they are and their gonna walk the league and stay top way beyond Christmas, blah, blah, blah.... Totally made my night. I was driving when the Spuds scored the second goal and almost hit a car coming the other way I was bouncing round punching the air that so much enthusiasm, you'd have thought it was us playing them. WOOT
