It looks like a 4-3-3 with Joe Cole replacing Kalou. Agreed that its good to see him back. He offers more in attack that Kalou and Malouda put together.

According to Physioroom we have Cech, A.Cole, J.Cole, Riccy, Lampard and Belletti due back from injury. Atm theres been no word of anyone else being injured on International duty, so we should have a very strong team available. One concern though is if Anelka was to pick up an injury, we have no strikers to bring in. Drogba will be out for the next 3 PL games and FDS is out till mid December. We'd be snookered.

The initial ban was a bit OTT. As I said, I hope he's learnt from this. It will jepordise his chances of making it at Chelsea if he gets another rush of blood to the head.

Were due to have most of our injured players back for this game, so we'll basically be full strength. Only Essien, Alex, Drogba and Di Santo wont be available (So I've read). Newcastle are still a shambles. We should be looking to increase our goal difference even more come Saturday. Our home form this season hasnt been as good as it should be. Thats something we need to put right, starting with a mauling of this lot. 4-0

He shouldnt have spat in the first place. Spitting on someone is disgusting. He should count himself lucky it wasnt another player he spat at or he'd have got nailed. Lesson learnt.

Just got my tops delivered......two problems. 1. I ordered the Blue and Black ones, but got the Blue and Yellow instead. 2. The Blue top fits perfectly, but the Yellow top, when I put it on you'd have thought someone painted it on. Its the same size as the Blue one. Dunno how that works. :thumbsdown:

I've said this during the match threads when they've been on the bench. Get them on ffs.

We seem to be the only team that dont give youngsters a true chance to break through. Its something we have to think about. It will put off others coming to Chelsea. JT is the only one I can think of who has been given a chance (Maybe Jody Morris) to get a run in the first team before establishing themselves over the last 10 years or so. There has to be a reason for this. Are the current crop not good enough in the clubs eyes or are we playing it safe with already proven players?

Agree with you on Di Santo, theres been plenty of occasions when he could have been brought on and give 20mins or so. Although Belletti has been given a new lease of life under LFS, he's been one of the surprise packages this season. He's shown his adaptabilty to play anywhere. We havent that to worry about for a while now anyway since he's injured for several weeks. When he does get back from injuries, he'll be given even less opportunities now that Drogba is back and Anelka is in such a good run of form.

A contract year usually runs till the end of the season, so that would leave him with a year left come July 1st I imagine. Needs done asap.
