Robben was made out of balsa wood. Sheva and SWP were tried and tested and failed. We went wrong in the summer by not having a back up plan to Robinho. We put all our eggs in one basket which was a massive mistake and we're paying for it now. We should have been working in the background knowing that if this was to happen we could fall back onto someone like Huntelaar, Quaresma, Sneijder, Van der Vaart, etc......

I dislike Drogba as much as anyone for his antics, but I cant help feel that he could have made a massive difference to the team in recent weeks. If we're going to resort to long balls then he's your man. Imo, if we sell Drogba in January, the season is as good as finished. He can be the player who can turn our season around. We need Drogba more than Drogba needs us. Its a hard pill to swallow but a fact.

Ok, so maybe my posting of a door and flights to Brazil was a bit drastic, but in reality.....if things keep going as they are that'll be what he'll be looking at. I dont believe it to be a confidence issue. when Grant was here, the players took it upon themselves to pull together and keep the team moving forward. Its basically the same players. So whats the problem? The loss of Steve Clarkes influence on the team? Scolaris inability to have a few tricks up his sleeve to turn games in our favour? Training methods? Injuries to players? To have one shot on target the whole match is embaressing. We were the home team and should have been creating more than half arsed chances to score.
