I was thinking about this the other night. I'm not saying LFS is nieve when it comes to tactics, but there are going to be games when we cant play the passing game he wants to see. Away from home, especially in europe you need to keep things tight and get the best result possible for the return leg. When/if we get to the next phase which will be a knockout format, we could find ourselves in a very sticky situation. I'm all for playing with flair, but we still need to play ugly at times. The Roma game for instance. their fans were baying for blood from the players before the game. There was loads of pressure on them to perform. We on the otherhand were riding high with maybe a bit of overconfidence going into the game considering Romas league form and position. On the night we got outplayed and our players were well below par. Was that due to tactics/overconfidence or an off night? I dunno, but it is a slight concern.

On another forum last night after the game. It was shocking the amount of Liverpool fans who actually defended him saying he didnt dive. Only one person said they were embaressed by his actions only to get an absolute slating from the scouse blind society for seeing him for what he is. He was diving before he left the ground ffs What he actually meant was...... "Yes I dived, I am a cheating bastard and conned the ref. I do it all the time and cant wait to do it again"

I thought Benzema signed a new contract last year with a crazy buy-out clause like 150m. Aguero would be another OTT target money wise. Best to stay away from that sort of thing imo. We should be looking to unearth these players before their prices become astronomical.

Sun If anything from this interview, I take it that we would like the best surroundings for the players leading upto the final should we get there. LFS has been terribly misquoted to create a SHOCK...ARROGANT Chelsea claim. YAWN.

Anyone we look to bring in is going to be making very few appearances. Once DD is back in full fitness he'll be first choice, then Anelka. They might get in ahead of Di Santo, but how many games will he get once DD is back. I cant see any striker willing to come under those circumstances unless they've no ambition.

They'll be wary of our abilty to hit on the break, but they have to go for it. I still wouldnt write them off as having no hope. Anything can happen, we are the better and stronger team and should win. It doesnt mean we will. 2-0 Chelsea me thinks

Having Ballack here atm may help. Then again we dont know how they get on as Ballack isnt exactly flavour of the month in those parts right now.

Theres no way we'll change formation. Anelka will have to do with playing as a sub when DD is fully fit. Kalou and Malouda have been doing ok so far. Both have their moments of stupidity, but having Anelka out wide were he's not as effective would be a step backward imo.

He went off the football radar for a while. I dont know if he was injured or not, but he certainly looked one of the better players in the German side suring the summer. Has a bit of a hot head though which would be something he needs to sort out.

Ahhhh....the Pig Farmer I've always liked him as a player. He's still in his early 20's and he's got bags of experience. He would definately be a player I'd like to see at SB.

Goal.com We do need an extra striker more for cover than anything else. Fabiano would cost a considerable amount of cash, and even if we were to sell a few fringe players I dont think we could get enough cash together to make Fabianos club part with him mid-season.

Football 365 Interesting......Would LFS change his formation to accomodate both strikers? Personally I dont think so. If its not broke dont fix it. I still think DD will be ahead of him when both are fit.
