Everyone was just super shocked! It has been a rollercoaster of emotions. The timing was awful. I mean, Mano was a bad manager, but if we were going to sack him, why didnt we do it after the American Cup or the Olympics? He had finally found a decent lineup (Neymar, Kaka, Oscar and Hulk). After the inicial rage, we realised Guardiola was available. Football fans and the Media got really excited with the possibility of him being our coach in 2014. Pep even said on a newspaper that Brazil would be the only team he would actually accept before his sabatical year. However, our ancient directors of CBF decided that they wouldnt be the first ones to anounce a foreign coach, specially in a WC at home. Well, then they chose Scolari because the general public loves him. He did win our last WC at least, so they view him as some sort of savior/legend. The die hard fans obviously hated it, but the general public thinks he will replicate 2002. The problem is that we have grown such an obligation to win this, that things are going to get bad if we dont. Some might view it as a overreaction, it is not. Brazilians are genuinely expecting it. By now, everyone have realised it was a political decison. Mano was appointed by Andres Sanchez (CBF Director of Football and Former Corinthians Chairman) and Andres was having a different view than Jose Maria Marin (CBF President) and Marco Polo Del Nero (CBF Vice President). LOL, Corinthians is a very strong team. They have everything we dont have as a team: balance, organization, good defense, lethal counters, discipline, great coach, etc. They dont really have talent (except for old Emerson and young Romarinho), but they are a very good opposition. They will also have an absurd amount of support there, all their tickets are sold out and they are asking FIFA for more... If we play our youngsters it will be Atletico 2.0 Corinthians would definetly lose to Manure and ManCity. However, they would put a very difficult match against Spuds, Arse, Loserpool, Everton, etc.

Why does Scolari deserves his own thread? By the way, he not only relegated Palmeiras but he also made them win a national throphy after 11 years. By the way 2, if Parreira and Dunga got us to the QFs, I think we can (at least) get there, as well. By the way 3, if we dont win (which is very likely) things are going to get bad, really bad.

We came prepared for a head to head clash (like ManCity). Too worried with balanced, transition from attack to defense and setpieces. The problem is that we are playing against a mid table team at home. We absolutely lacked intensity, movement and rotation. Benitez has realised we have to attack, but it seems players dont know what to do, so we look terrible when trying to infiltrate and neutralize counters.We are fucking disorganized. It is getting better though... Rafa must know the expectations for each game, a draw is embarassing!
