  1. This is probably down to the intransigence in the Robinho situation, but maybe big Fillipe sees untapped potential to be unleashed in the all new Malouda and SWP Show...
  2. Fuck 'em. They cant keep upping the price. At the end of the day they'll be left with one talented disgruntled player, like they were with Makalele...
  3. Lol, wouldnt say its too late -it's not as if he gets regular runouts. Lets wait and see, maybe Big balls Phil will get the best out of him, or lose patience.....
  4. "The lady doth protest too much, methinks." Hamlet, Act 3, scene 2 Mind you I'd probably give him/her one after a few beers
  5. I can understand the frustration at SWP, and Malouda seemed like a lazy cunt several games last term. Often players need the threat of exile to get the best out of them - Malouda has proven talent, SWP has pace and ability to take on and beat players, score fantastic goals, and even cross accurately. Too often hes given the ball away, first touch is pony, -this is more erraticsm of form than shiteness, and needs coaching -shouting at, imo to get the consistent SWP performing that everyone raved about at Man City. If Robinho doesnt arrive and SWP is not performing by Christmas consistently, kick the dwarf out.
  6. Maybe, or a replacement for Drogba -but as you've highlighted before, there is no fan democracy when selecting players. Big Phil calls the shots, and if hes been impressed with the wee man .... We came within a gnats pube of several trophies last term, and it was Grants ineptitude, and lack of leadership -that JT has alluded to - that cost the lack of silverware...
  7. WE CAN WIN MASTERCHEF AND UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE, SAYS SCOLARI Deco's rack of lamb is not quite there yet Chelsea coach Luiz Felipe Scolari believes his team can win all three domestic trophies, the Champions League, University Challenge and Masterchef. The Brazilian insisted his squad is strong enough to conquer Europe and, for the first time in its history, take the title of best amateur cook in Britain. He said: "Frank Lampard has developed the most exquisite game terrine with cranberry jam. "It will make all other food seem weak and badly organised. Let's just hope he doesn't fuck off to Inter Milan." He added: "Deco has been working on a marinated rack of lamb in training. It'll get us through the regional heats but it still needs a lot of work." Chelsea failed to win a trophy last season after finishing second to Manchester United in the Premier League and Europe, and then being edged out by Christ Church College Oxford in the final of University Challenge. This season Scolari is expected to play Michael Ballack alongside Claudio Pizarro, combining the German's strength with science quesions and the Peruvian's ability to identify any country just from looking at an outline. The former Portugal coach said: "If the league schedule permits I'd love Ashley Cole to have a go at Mastermind. "There is absolutely nothing that boy doesn't know about Rogers and Hammerstein." Daily Mash
  8. Lol!! .... hell of a lot of posts and pics to say ''he's not sexy''.
  9. Looks like hes staying now; Jose Mourinho appeared last night to have given up on his summer-long quest to land Frank Lampard. The former Chelsea boss declared the England midfielder wanted to stay at Stamford Bridge. Mourinho had looked set to sign Lampard after his contract dispute with the Blues lurched into open warfare. Inter had two bids rejected by Chelsea, who were willing to risk Lampard walking out for nothing next June at the end of his current deal rather than cashing in this summer. But with suggestions that the Blues are willing to relent and offer Lampard the five-year deal he has demanded, after he rejected the £140,000 per week four-year terms that were on offer, Mourinho gave the clearest signal yet that he has finally discounted the midfielder from his plans. Daily Mirror Now they've Muntari as well. So it looks like 2008-9 season will start with Lampard, Drogba SWP ...and Pizarro. Ben Haim supposed to sign for Citeh this week though. Thank fuck.
  10. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ool/7528735.stm Good signing for them, but they've paid over the odds imo, and they still wont be a title challenger...
  11. Have to see -might fuck everyone off -but its vast improvement on the last charlatan...
  12. Agree about Pizarro - but there will never be another Bogarde, so there is no comparison. Bogarde was on full pay for 2 years or something with no games. Not that it was his fault. Pizarro was up front when he arrived about 'dont expect many goals' and I think the trio of freebies were Mourinhos names picked out of a hat because of cash restraints from upstairs.
  13. Sounds like Huge Phil is going to keep him on... ''Chelsea are cooling their interest in Brazilian international Robinho because Real Madrid keep changing their asking price, and are now considering giving Shaun Wright-Phillips another chance to prove himself this season. The England international was told earlier in the summer that he would be allowed to leave for the right price but a decent showing in pre-season has caused Luiz Felipe Scolari to reconsider this.'' Independent I'm not too unhappy about this -he is frustrating sometimes but gives 100% and can be devastating. Crap crosser generally, but then a lot of wingers are, Gronkjaer anyone ? -why the fuck dont they practice more of this at Cobham, along with more set piece practice is anyones guess.
  14. Dear oh dear. Yeah, because Cudicini is such a freeloader isnt he. Good god.
  15. Reminds me of sminky pinky, Chris Waddle... Channel 9
  16. This is JT as well- sounds like hes having a dig at Grant.... ''It's down to myself to drive this team forward again and push to get to where we were last season and further. "We showed great strength of character with all the disappointments we had last season, with the changes in manager. We showed what a great team we are. "Now we have a manager who can lead the team as well." (from Reuters news agency) Heres Scolari in 1984 , fuck knows what hes talking about. Any Portuguese translators ?
  17. Where did it all go wrong ??? One minute you're on the crest of a wave, the next you're a crack whore or worse..... ''Andrei Arshavin's agent has told Sky Sports News that the Zenit St Petersburg playmaker would be interested in a move to Tottenham Hotspur''.
  18. I had expecations of him when he came on against ManUtd. Another one that didnt make the grade unfortunately....
  19. Well Lampard and Drogba obviously, and I might try and get some of the West Stand having a booo at Cech if they can put down their Sudokus. He seems to get injured a lot and I'm not sure it's genuine. This Phil Solarium fella , any good ?
  20. Would settle for wins and sexy football second. It really is outragous that there are only five restaurants in Chelsea Village. It just doesnt give enough choice to the more discerning tourist...and Marco Whites is soooooo yesteryear. Eddie Barnett to be publicly castrated in the centre circle before the Pompey game. More Booing -it was ok last season, but lets get the whole ground boooing this time round....
  21. What do people expect/want ? I would like the League as no 1, and think it'll be done. The CL after getting so close last time round would be my second wish, but it's a lottery , and would be surprised frankly if Terry is lifting it come May. FA Cup and League cups are attainable. Oh and prices to come down
  22. No not the fat sack of shit, be sensible no one wants him, but young Anthony... Southend manager Steve Tilson is interested in signing Chelsea youngster Anthony Grant on a permanent basis. The midfielder spent time on loan at Roots Hall last season and impressed Tilson with his performances. Tilson was able to include Grant in his side for Thursday's pre-season friendly against Billericay and is now hoping to complete a deal. "He's available if we want him and we will be speaking again on Friday to see if something can happen," Tilson told the club's official website. "Sometimes it is better the devil you know and I think he would be a good addition to the squad. "He has versatility and he slotted into place nicely on Thursday night." Sky Sports Could be a good move for him...
  23. Why I Left- Makalele "I would have been more comfortable staying at Chelsea," he told Le Parisien. "There, you are forced to be at your best and concentrate all the time and that’s how I like to be. I have always worked like that. "Your level drops when you are in a situation where you can take it easy. Football is not easy. People think that it is easy when you are at a big club and you have made it. But it is not. "You have to constantly prove yourself every day. "The main difference between Chelsea and PSG is on the pitch. "I have my family and friends here. I had to come back because it is the right time as I am still fresh. "I signed for a year with the option of another one." Setanta Sports
  24. Agree, there'll be no one person playing that role -he created that job for himself and no one could touch him. Now different formations will apply.
  25. On his way to Pompey now Muntari has joined Mourinho, according to several media stories this morning. Erratic form, and incredible that the club paid £24 million for him....
