Off to Lille apparently. Being as bright as he is -probably not aware that it's abroad yet
-
Thats true -the hype was incredible -helicopters at Anfield etc hair gel trucks at Cobham etc -yet you're right his recent performances nationally and at club were waning. Chris Suttonesque...
-
On his way out, obviously surplus, but I still feel theres silly money probably going to be shelled out for Modric....
-
Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but he's proving to be an expensive flop. Not the first Chelsea striker to fall into that category though. Malagas £20 m bid is cheeky one, and should be ignored, but times running out.....
-
About time he had decent injury instead of all those cry wolf ones Get better soon big man
-
Some of the blokes I go with have been going since well before Captain Birdseye (KB) bought the club for £1. so I wouldnt question their loyalty if things got bad. I'm sure nationality has nothing to do with passion either -that arsenal fan that everyone laughs at on Youtube (yes he might be a bit mental) but short of passion he aint. Really hope you can make the pilgimage soon Max -be good to meet up for a pint
-
I couldnt believe £50 m, and maybe his fat waiter compatriot manager got the best out of him. Maybe thats what he needs some other Spanish around him to perform,-either that or a few lines of Mutu. I always wanted Tevez to come, and Suarez is poentially a mini Maradonna as well. Matas crossing could see Torres and the Big Belgian free scoring though. Fingers crossed

On the forum ? doesnt bother me, I wouldn't moderate otherwise. Does it bother you ? At SW6 It has its positives and negatives -eg atmosphere at games is spoilt by gawpers, or as Esk said the difference between Fans and Supporters. But thats a fact of Globalistion generally, and international capital transfer that affects all businesses. Just an economic reality, the international selling of entertainment. At the ground though, I suppose maybe it would be like the Chinese all watching Indian cricket and sat there not applauding just in silence, when for years you'd had a great atmosphere, and all the Indians had been priced out of going save for a few rich ones, in Mumbai., say. But if you've nothing to compare it to, then you wouldnt notice any difference.

Its all opinions aint it. I never for one minute rated Kakuta as a Messi, thought he was just an avearge pacy French attacker, same as I dont reckon Lukaku as Drogba. Reminds me more of a young :541: Heskey -dont laugh, he was good, but i'm not over excited -but he is intelligent and mature for his age, athletic, and a genuine Chelsea fan. So he says.
-
I am sticking to my pre season foretelling that he will be Player of the Season
-
Different kettle of fish to Kakuta -this lad is big powerful, and is in a different class (probably)
-
Yup agree with most of the comments -intelligent beyond his young years, powerful, and can only get better. Made me laugh how he was still gesticulating for the ball when Mata had slid it in :giggle:
-
Agree with a lot of that. Torres seems slow and off the pace, hopefully this bloke Mata can gee him up out of his depression. The money thing has ruined the game -and that has come about via global TV and the selling of sattelite rights - evident by the global members of a forum for a West London Football club That said - better atmos today - and cracking game, with the boys in blue creating the usual roller coaster ride :GOAL:  :redcard: :GOAL: :GOAL:
-
Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Xavi. one can only hope they're not kept on the stage too long - the amount of gel on show could lead to a disturbing hair-melt incident
-
Rude not to Liquidator. OK my position -dont agree with the outing of people who boo, but if you dont want to cheer and support the team- Fuck Off. Simples.
-
Fully endorse that Ray -literally hundreds of games I attended in 70s and 80s and there was no boooing. If we lost, which was often, you did the decent thing and steamed into the away fans. Better to have 12 000 singing their hearts out than 42 000 spoilt bell ends -have to correct you on the silverware situation though -Full members Cup 1986 ?
-
Bit of a difference there. For the latter you can get a lifetime ban.... For me Chelsea have always been the lifeblood -and singling out players for abuse is different to a collective moronic half time booo that is a blanket assessment of the team, ignoring players that have done well and undermining them. Cost has little to do with it in my book - and with the concert analogy -people should only see bands with great reviews if they're worried about value for money...but maybe thats the calibre of some of the fans now
-
The youngsters that Ferguson plays, perform due to combination of historical past glories and sheer fear from the old red nosed bully. Two attributes that are not so prominent at SW6 With regard to Mr Mata, I am expecting an appearance in the second half...
-
Utterly incredible! Boris Johnson has offered Tottenham Hotspur – a wealthy club owned by multi-millionaires and which suffered no riot damage – £8 million ‘riot damage’ towards building a new ground. This will go down a storm in Croydon where the punters will be delighted at subsidising Luca Modric’s wages!!!! Bonkers Boris is proposing to use almost half of the £20 million given by the Treasury to rebuild riot-damaged Tottenham and Croydon to help the football club push through their plans for a new 56,250-seat stadium.’ source;:various -Evening Standard, This is London etc
-
Seen it kick off several times between booers and non booers. Theres definitely a sizeable majority that want something done about it -not sure it happens at Anfield or Theatre of Shit but it is a regular feature at Arsenal apparently.....maybe its fickle southerners or Sky has bred a new batch of consumers rather than ''get behind the team'' fans
-
Posted on Twitter Chelsea fans: if you see a fellow 'fan' booing or failing to support the team, get their seat number, photo and OUT them #nameandshame Mobile Web • 24/08/2011 12:24 Retweeted by jlr1988 Though I would never boo, not sure this is the right way to go about it... thoughts ?

Malouda late show rescues labouring Chelsea

Good report A. Usual ''cant be bothered till the second half'' performance. Atmosphere is getting worse... I heard that people booing all around the ground. Still 3 points eh ? -
'S'happened. Looks the bollox on U tube -though I have to say thats all i've seen of him -and it looks as though the left side is sorted now....

7 managers in 7 years - is it really THAT bad?
Fulham Broadway replied to Tomo's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Linked to what the club has achieved, it has worked out OK. We just have to put up with the Russian way ie you never let the grass grow under your feet. Yes Mourinho going was a mistake, but in hindsight he is the sort of bloke that could have just walked out some day anyway. Grunt should never have been given a sniff. I'm certain Carlo would have outed some players that let him down last season, if he was stiill here Now we have another gaffer and it appears everyone gets another chance to impress when some really should be long gone imo. That's another story though and we have to deal with what we have so it all depends on how AVG sets us up and gets the players doing what Carlo couldn't do last season......
