Premier League may get goal line technology next season
Fulham Broadway replied to xPetrCechx's topic in Football Chat
No its part and parcel of the game, the pantomine , the drama, . It leads to 'swings and roundabouts', karma, 'what comes around goes around' etc.It would be so sterile with everything monitored. I am with LDN Blue, goal line technology, but nothing else although......... . . . . . . . . ......if we get a shit decision tonight the teles going through the window -
We have nothing to fear but fear itself CJ. They will score two, then King Kalou will get one in the 88th minute -you heard it here first

Difference in being a voyeur and someone who wants to get stuck in I suppose. Nice scary pics in your avatar by the way. No male insecurity issues there. -

Think youre missing the point -was talking about football generally, and FIFAs reluctance to sanitise the game through post surveillance. Of which it is just that, a game, with drama. I have been going to live games for 40 + years and shouting your mouth off with your mates I dont really see as having issues. -

no they have real class... We cared for your wellbeing like a son of our own I lit all the candles at the shrine in my home We made you a banner we shared out our love We prayed to Bill Shankly in the skies up above We tweeted our thoughts we facebooked our care All of us Kopites for you we’ll be there Slowly our magic it started to work The Kop’s gift of life for you was a perk And when you were better you shared your success To tell all the people of the Kop’s magic no less The Kop and Fabrice a bond of true love You went to The Sun no worse could we think of Oh Patrice Muamba for you we all cried But now you’re a cunt and we wish you had died

In two minds about this now. If we eradicated refereeing errors through technology or stamped out ‘simulation’, would that make football better? I don’t think so. Football is drama not science. Controversy adds colour. It is part of football’s folklore. Geoff Hurst is-it-or-isn’t-it goal in the 1966 World Cup final, Maradona’s handball against England 20 years later, Clive Allen’s disallowed ‘stanchion’ goal for Palace – the pub debates still rage over these incidents. I don’t want a sterile spectacle cleansed of human error. I want to hurl abuse at the referee or scream ‘Get up, you wanker!’ at a player feigning injury. Dispute and injustice are essential ingredients of sporting theatre. in conclusion i dont reckon controversy is killing football - it is the lifeblood -
Tell him hes a then kick him in the bollocks

They said that about Ovrebo and probably Frisk
-
He's either a throw away ref because of the first leg -or he could be one of the new breed coming through that are good. ie he has shown no fear in controlling sides with cautions and dismissals. A fact which both Chelsea and Barcelona know would mean they have players who would miss out on the final. If he is the former the 'ey' will for ever be removed from his name

Fate is sealed ; UEFA have appointed Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir. The deputy chairman of UEFA's Referees Committee is Senes Erzik, also from Turkey.Erzik has strong links to UNICEF, for whom he worked as a project manager. As you know,UNICEF has partnered Barcelona since 2006...

Agree with most of that -and articulately put as well, -you should write for the forum

Cole, Ivanovich, Ramires and Meireles need to watch themselves , one yellow away from missing the final that we're going to make Inexperienced turkish Ref has been bought by the Barca/Platini lovefest investment corp. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2133457/Barcelona-v-Chelsea-Cuneyt-Cakir-referee.html

Wouldnt be surprised if RDM told him to go down, waste time and break up Barcelona's play. But there were a few times he was really hurt -commentator Townsend telling him to ''get up'' -yeah I;d like to see Townsend fall 8 feet on to his hip, and that one in the bollox must have hurt like fuck. Yes, he can be like that anyway, but he has got much better over the last two seasons. Last night was the Drogba of old, but it worked. It stopped Barcelona from being a fluent in their play and frustrated them. Anyway its just what Farcelona do against Madrid and Milan .... History will show that hes probably CFCs greatest player :blue scalf:

Totally unfair Meera, thats one thing they dont do

Its Platini isnt it ?

Chelsea v Barcelona - Semi Final First Leg Preview
Fulham Broadway replied to Strike's topic in Chelsea Articles
Nice article there -
Nando and Drogba should both play a part. Theres some stat that says Messi hasnt scored against Chelsea and Torres has scored the most against spanish teams or something. Drogbas turns and blasts ala Yids would be good, and although their midfield is head and shoulders above all, the defence Pique especially, can be out muscled
-
Long ball tonight is probably the most effective. If we play the midfield there will be only one winner.Route one (on occasion) has played a big part in RDM's form. It's as if RDM knew one of our biggest problems was our reluctance to go long. Rarely did we do it and teams could quickly close the defenders down and force mistakes out of us. Now they're not sure what we're gonna do so they cover and play safe. It was so predictable under AVB

If its a close first leg, guaranteed it'll be an Ovrebo type character for the second...

Seems their biggest fear is seeing Torres lift the cup :blue scalf: -
Its a German ref -with a German club in the other semi final and the final itself being at Bayern's ground. Mmmmm. Platini should have the balls to do his own dirty work and ref the game himself
