  1. Unbeleivably spoilt some people. The 'low ' of Europa isnt that big a deal. Winning the 2nd Div at Grimsby was sublime, and if someone had said we'd be Champions of Europe 20 years later I'd have thought they'd necked acid or were just a cunt.
  2. Ray Wilkins - "Will the fans start warming to him now?" "The fans aren't stupid Jeff"
  3. Mmmm... Amsterdam :eyebrows: Win this and the World Club Cup next week and we've won the lot...
  4. Not going tonight, but feel I might miss a blinder with Torres defending corners
  5. Source - http://www.redandwhi...?topic=249365.0 I might be wrong but its probably a source that is a little biased. Quite a few Dipper fans acknowledge hes probably the most notorious for squandering money on rubbish. The mediocre squad he inherited from Houllier was arguably no stronger when he left. Still fair play for your dogged defence of FSW, you must have some lively debate in the MHL Lower with the people around you !
  6. Yes I am sure every manager makes pony signings, but Benitez made on average two for every one that was average or above. Not sure why you put them in bold, but for every Agger or Alonso there is a Kronkamp or Nunes. Or Morientes, or Dossena, Voronin, Josemi, or Keane,or Itanje ...it goes on and on. Ok you ''know a few players and staff from just around''. and they may have told you something -but the players are contracted and will perform regardless of who is at the helm. I dont know how intimate you are with them, but I doubt they would confide in you or anyone else that they think Rafas a cunt. Most employees would never slag of their manager in public-it usually results in the sack, Anyway the point is the vast majority of Chelsea fans will not accept him, regardless, which is more a reflection on the shambolic board than on Tubby himself
  7. His track record is mediocre at best, He said he would never manage Chelsea, and took the piss out of plastic flags. He spent over £230m on signings the majority of which were rubbish, He has had the worst start of any Chelsea manager. The 'prejudices' are justified in my opinion. The club is nothing without us.We all know the real reason he has been brought in is to save face with the owner as an expensive last resort to get Fernando the Wonderhorse scoring. A result tonight would lift the pressure, and a Shaktar win would even win some fans round. Many, however will still be looking forward to the day he gets the call to leave. Intrigued -who are your sources at the club ? My guess is some players are undoubtably ambivalent to his arrival -the longer stalwarts will also shrug their shoulders at the revolving door -but they would also be disgusted at the way RDM was unceremoniously thrown out.
  8. Agree about the transitional phase -but that has been foisted upon the club via shabolic decisions. The leadership skills, grit and determination on the pitch will be hard to replace when Captain, Leader, Legend hangs up his boots. Cant quite see Oscar or Mata in the same vein somehow. The continuity that is lacking in terms of managers, has been patched over by JTs stewardship on the pitch. With 11 managers, assistants and backroom staff, spinning through the revolving door he has been the bedrock that has inspired, geed up, and kept CFC on its feet. Something that shouldnt be over looked or underestimated.
  9. Well reading between the lines of last nights doc -it seems hes being readied as Fergusons replacement. Cant blame him who'd want to come here ? Guardiola will go to Man City at the end of the season , and we will have ...er Rednapp followed by Christian Gross, then Kean, then people from this forum
  10. Death threats ? There just preparing him for when he returns
  11. First loss to West Ham since 2002 and not winning a league game in. 7 games since 1995. Fucking hell we should get Hoddle in to advise......
  12. Haha thats begging for someone to photoshop Torres and Rafa
  13. Well he did out wit him. They won 3-1. You listen to the managers at the end Allardyce made sense whilst FSW waffled on like Grant
  14. Like I said hes the first to lose to West Ham. We all know why the fat bastard was brought in -like your namesake Sheva -it was to indulge the owners fantasy that some how he can get the best out of the £50m hairband, like in some way Laurel cant perform without Hardy
  15. Just because hes got hair round his gob he thinks it entitles him to talk like a cunt
  16. Love to know who these people who respect him ' throughout the game' are. Hes been in such demand for the last six months lounging on his chaise longue, quaffing paella and sangria he must have switched the phone off. Hes not respected by Chelsea fans throughout the game and i am glad youre not a fan of him as well. I am sure we'll get a result on Wednesday, and it was just a blip being tactically outwitted by Big Sam on Saturday
  17. See what youre saying and lots of people said last season was one of 'transition' -could well turn out its this season instead. I would be surprised if hes here for six months tbh -carries on the way hes started hell be out in a couple of weeks. FSW is not some mystical tactical genius that the liverpool loving media would have us believe. £230 m spend at the dippers and a few lucky games. He persisted with Zonal Marking to his own downfall. He Ballsed up Inter now he's ballsing up Chelsea. I will always back the team and Chelsea but he can fuck off
  18. Right so thats ok then. Fuck him. I dont want some twat who had a few lucky cup games. You are in a select minority, and youre entitled to your opinion but 100%, no proper Chelsea fan wants him, or youre playing devils advocate -Abramovich is probably thinking what the fuck have I done ? Hes now running out of options as Ray Wilkins said. Wednesday he'll get a bit of slack as we beat the Danes, but hes on his way sooner than later
  19. Hes doing really well so far- - The first Chelsea boss not to win one of his first three games in charge under Abramovich - The first not to witness a goal in his first two - The first to lose to West Ham
  20. It takes a working class lad like Terry, who learnt his craft on the Hackney marshes, ridiculed by the press, to motivate and cajole skilful players into the mindset to actually win the game Its a shame that players can be ''worth'' so much yet dont have the balls and psychological steel to take a game by the scruff of the neck, and need to be motivated to realise its primarily about sticking the ball in the back of the fucking onion bag
  21. Probably right to offload Meireles, with the midfielders that came in
  22. Just to make us feel better ..... dont forget documentary on Mourinho tonight -ITV 4
  23. Training today with Lampard. Wonder if he is still wearing his 'No16' training gear
