  1. You've said it yourself, counterattacking CF. Otherwise, except his headers, in open play he's very average. Average first touch, poor running with the ball, and bad awareness to spot and pass to teammates
  2. His problem I think was that he wasn't interested in improving his defensive game, adding more things to his game. In the Bundesliga with a team like Werder, he had much more space and even said that he didn't like the tactical training of his coach and he said that he would prefer if the attacking players would do like they want lol. Even with Belgium, he would press high on the pitch but not really play a positional play to cut passing option deeper. I think that's why he likes the bundesliga, except two three teams, it's a bit end to end football with a lot of space.
  3. And that playing well below par the first two months of this season. His dribbles completed have skyrocketed since he's been on form.
  4. It would be excellent. Azpi 24 Shaw 18 Oscar 22 Schurrle 23 Hazard 23 Willian 25 Matic 25 Ramires 26 Traore 18 who will be in the squad in two years max.
  5. Not sure the serie A is good example, half the team are awful defending.
  6. When you see the likes of Holtby, De Bruyne, Schuerrle, seems like the good but not top players from Bundesliga have difiiculties to adapt to the premier league where the games are not as open as 80% of the Bundesliga games.
  7. And we could sell Lukaku, Moses, Marin for 15-20 million pounds. Courtois could be sold for a good amount of money or our new keeper wich would be a bargain. Traore will a be a good player for us that we bought for peanuts. Without forgetting all the good young players that maybe not good enough for us but still be sold for decent money.
  8. I could see him play for us at right wing in two years.
  9. Schuerlle will play the last 30 minutes, running behind Evra who is an awful defender.
  10. You could see the red mark on the upper cheek of Eden after some elbows from Hull players when he was interviewed.
  11. Yes, Wilmots is stoo stupid to try it but I would like to see Radja and Defour together in front of Witsel in our midfield. Defour is the only one that goes to the space that other midfielders leave when they are doing a double cover on Hazard. The only midfielder that does quick one touch passing. But I fear that we will have the same boring Dembele Chadli or Fellaini in midfield that are not very dynamic and are killing every transitions.
  12. What was incredible in that Chelsea run was that eventhough Chelsea were defending deep, it wasn't a great defensive display like Inter who were master at closing space and passing angles. In the final, in the first 15 minutes, Bayern had already three good chances to open the score, two very good one for Gomez. And Robben was in good positions many times but decided to do clay shooting that day. To have such good fortune during thee matches was defying the odds.
  13. And for Man Utd, they don't have the same special referee decisions they had under Ferguson (10-15 free points per season) and some teams were not even trying at Old Trafford. In Europe, Man Utd was already the worst english team the last years in the champion's league when the other teams would compete and had not the special premier league ref.
  14. It's political. If you make critics about english fa, refs, you will have poor decisions by refs on your matches. The refs are often more lenient with the british players than the foreign ones.
  15. Maybe not "rugby coaches" but to take an off-season training drills that Rugby players take to have better change of direction, agility is not ridiculous. The Ajax youth works with athletic coaches to have a good running technique, not heavy feet like Lukaku has.
  16. No I'm serious. To work on his legs, feet to have better first steps. You know who has great first steps, Eden Hazard wich helps to make turns, stop and go.
  17. I agree with you on his technique. He's too flat footed wich is why he's so rubbish when he has to do turns and takes too much time to gain speed from still position. I think he should do a 2-3 months stages with rugby coaches and athletic coaches to use his feet better and have better agility.
  18. He will be sold this summer I think. He will never have the level of our club.
  19. Only his set-pieces skill will be missed if he leaves. Last year he had the best stats of his career but don't forget that the player playing behind the striker in the Benitez system is often having his best stats in his career (Gerrard), the striker, wingers work and movements giving the space he needs to play. Last year, we had only Hazard, Mata, Oscar and Moses (as a substitute) to play in the three behind the strikers. I was seeing he way he played under Di Matteo in the league the year before Oscar and Hazard were coming and it wasn't that impressive, Oscar and Hazard can drive with the ball to draw defenders and creating space for other players, Mata can't do that. And in the last matches, it seems that work have been done with Oscar starting a run behind defenders when the ball is arriving to Hazard for a one touch ball trhough. In Swansea, first time ball through form Hazard to Oscar nearly worked, against southampton, it happened two times. Hazard and Oscar can do that and interchange their role of passer, runner while with Mata Hazard, Hazard has to be the runner. Hazard Oscar William are more flexible, better to break away from pressing in their own half and make 40-50 meters run for 7-8 seconds action and two three quick passes.
  20. In Belgium, physically stronger means capable of running longer forn longer period. Eden is physically stronger. He's more powerful than Thorgan.
  21. His low point was the game against West Brom. I think his season started and the team in general started the season in the game against Southampton. It's when I started to see improvement. When we cutted much more the slow passing between our central defenders.
  22. Wizardo should be their surname Those three complement each other very well. William and Oscar are such workhorse, with those two, Hazard has very often one of these two as a support when he has beaten a player to start a break or to play little deviations higher in the pitch to one of them running. They are all good at these little quick lay-offs. In the first half against Liverpool, the little lay-offs between them was a joy to watch and must have been depressing to the liverpool guys pressing. They would run their sock off to close one of them and when they would close them, the ball was already moving to another attacking midfielder :yay:
  23. In open play before the box, he was good. In the box, not very clinical and made some strande decisions, not giving simple lay-off and instead trying to have a shooting position in a crowded space. He doesn't have the pace on the first yards to make a little space for a shoot like he tried 3-4 times yesterday.
  24. Thanks, I will not need to rewatch the match. When Oscar was coming in, I was thinking that Ramires was playing in the right side but I was focusing on Oscar and as he was playing behind Torres and as the forward when Luiz was coming for Torres, Ramires on the right was making sense but I was not sure. I was surprised to see Oscar with not his usual amount of energy, he looked lost when he was coming in.
