Chelsea have agreed a stunning £60 million-a-year kit deal with Nike that will help the club to continue to compete at the top end of the transfer market, despite failing to qualify for the Champions League. True, but when Terry and Cahill both started, Chelsea kept just 2 clean sheets in 16 games (12.5%) and 12 in 37 without both of them (32.43%).

Still a disgrace how long club delay it. He should be offered an extension much earlier in the season. I'm sure he had to accept massive pay cut in that new deal, but I'm not sure he'll do it. And I can't blame him. But hope he stays.

Before that he played as a CB in 16 games, including Tottenham (45 minutes), Sporting in a CL (full game), Liverpool (full game), Manchester City (full game), Everton (full game) and other weaker oppositions. Iheanacho joined City after his 18th Birthday. Before that he was only on trial and had pre-agreement. He only had some sort of pre-agreement to sign when he turns 18, but he wasn't able to play any games, except some friendlies. Similar situation to Bertrand Traore. Iheanacho came as a substitute because of Silva's injury, not started. As for Mourinho, he started 19-years-old Carlos Alberto in Champions League final. Last season he started 20-years-old Zouma in League Cup Final. Oh, and Loftus-Cheek played more minutes in Champions League this season than Iheanacho.

Well... Each case is individual though. But I can understand players that prefers to stay at Chelsea. At least club cares about them and trying to make best out of them. Not every super-talanted youngster able to make it at top level. If Ola leaves and become a starter at a top-club in a few years - fair play to him. I would be happy for him, as he's clearly talanted lad, but chances that he'll make it at other top-club are not much higher than at Chelsea.
