It was pretty clear yesterday the difference him and Fabregas make, without them we struggled and laboured trying to score a goal against a defensive setup; the key to our success next season is how often we can get those two out on the pitch I think. They almost show the likes of Torres, Willian, Ramires, Mikel etc. up in how ineffective they are and in how little they create and threaten; with those two I now want to the see many of the rest of the squad closer to their level

We only really need one of Romeu and Mikel in the squad, possibly neither as long term I'd hope for a stronger DM or a homegrown player there like Chalobah, Ake Having Courtois, Cech and Schwarzer seems like overkill; Ideally I think it's a position where you should look to have an outstanding keeper and then two HG/U21 keepers in reserve. Courtois could possibly count as HG, he's been registered here three seasons, it would seem unfair if going on loan affects that.

Can't see them making it permanent, they look likely to go down and even if they stay up it's a lot for a LB

Are you sure we've ruined their careers? Not sure how Mata's relevant, but KDB is a regular for Belgium already- as is Lukaku- both have secured big money moves to very good clubs. Van Aanholts now got the chance to play in the PL with Sunderland and Bertrand's been capped by England. A lot of these players get more opportunities based on the reputation and profile of the club I also don't get why loans are so bad, players get sent to clubs at a level that suits them and can progress to loans at bigger clubs. What we're doing doesn't seem a whole lot different to what Porto etc have done for years and far more ethical then third party ownership in players

Shame Romeu is a bit of a liability in terms of getting the ball nicked off him in a dangerous position, otherwise I'd have him over Mikel

Sadly it will be Costa, Drogba and Torres for the strikers next season, as good as it would be to have Remy or someone else as second choice we cant shift Torres

Hope we at least get more than the £27m Everton got for Fellaini, fact is they don't have tons of options and need a striker. If we wanted Barkley or Stones they'd be wanting £30-£40m plus

I hope some of this group make it through to being regular first team players, but I'm not convinced despite Mourinho's comments, we aren't very good at developing young players; It's hard to know whether they would benefit more from staying here, or a championship or foreign loan. We do seem to be producing far better youth players then we have been in the past, but the level of the first team is so high, even so there's no reason Ake for example shouldn't be second choice left back next season, slowly integrating into the team. Also hope Mourinho stays for the long term, as unrealistic as it may be, I'd choose to sacrifice some success if we could get more homegrown and English players in the team; and if Mourinho was here for ten years we're bound to win mutliple titles and most likely the CL at least once and be as successful as we would be changing managers several times.

Costa scored 36 goals last season, so is capable of it, even if its more likely he'll get 15-20 The key is getting a big fee for Lukaku, eventually someone will pay £25-£30m for him in desperation, Lukaku basically covering the cost of Costa would potentially be great business
