Deserved win, thought it was going to be another game where luck wasnt with us. We were all over them at 1-0, really need to be able to extend our lead better, they'd created pretty much nothing at that point but a bit of luck and its 1-1. We need Costa back up to speed asap

Is this a bad thing though? you keep going for it you might make it 2-0, or they opposition have a better chance of making it 1-1 earlier on and with the momentum with them a good chance of winning. Whilst trying to defend the 1-0 is risky, the best Mourinho teams have always been able to shut up shop at 1-0 and bar some poor officiating and very very late goals at City and Utd we would've won both. Obviously in hindsight its easy to say we shoud've gone for it, but you'd expect us the defend the last cross of a game. We need to get better at keeping the ball and picking teams off, too many times we kicked it long back to them when we could've kept it; putting Mikel on sures up the defence but he needs to do more to keep possesion. Sometimes seems like mentally the player lose their nerve late on, up until that last corner they never looked like scoring from one

Such an asset having him performing well on top of Hazard, Fabregas etc., thought he might struggle after the WC and 2nd half of last season

Costa's an absolute beast, Ivanovic too. To think this is a game we would've struggled to get back into last season, team isn't perfect but so much more fight in it

Cant see him leaving, but after Cech he's who I'd let leave. Ideally we'd have a third/second striker who can play wide, then Boga/Brown can cover the rest of the minutes Salah would get.

He's the same sort of signing as Ba, Moses, Marin, Merieles; a decent player signed as his the best readily available option for a decent price. I doubt he'll be here more than a season or two

Sort of can't blame him, but he must be embarrassed that he isnt even justifying half his salary, at least if he went he'd get a longer contract and a chance to actually play

Still think we should try and get him, possibly a loan deal with Cech going the other way for a season could reduce the fee

Wish he'd leave but we are fairly free of deadwood, and as much as I want him gone I'd rather we didn't spend £20m on Destro. His wages would make our financial situation way better, but at least having him in the squad is a good reminder not to buy established stars ( Shevchenko, Torres) for massive money/wages
