Ozil's the only one we could feasibly bring in who is arguably better than Mata for the no.10 role. He seemed to like (he played him) Ozil at Real; if the rumours are to be true he doesn't want Mata. I'd keep Mata after what he's achieved here, but bringing in Ozil would allow Mourinho to let him go as he supposedly wants to without getting too much shit for it

We bought him for £10m, rising to £17m. Apparently the loan fee could be as high as £5m, for that Everton get a player who can get them 15-20 league goals. If we won't play him here, by the time he's 22-23 we could have a player who has cost us very little. And I assume the extra £7m is based on him playing for us. I'd prefer he stayed but it does seem like good business, we've done a similar thing with Moses, Wallace, Romeu and Courtois, and tried to get £3m for Ba.

Gudjohnsen Some good young players brought in (MvG, Willian, Schrulle), However those who are ready to play regularly have been bought in a position where we were strongest. Letting Lukaku goes means Eto'o has to still be quality otherwise we are in for a pretty frustrating season.
