  1. always scores. Should've had Mata and Matic on to control the game at 3-0
  2. THE FUCK ISNT THAT A FOUL, after all hes given them for diving
  3. smallings coming on...damage control?
  4. Maybe Eto'o over Torres was the right call... Should still play Matic, Luiz is going to get sent off
  5. did Ivanovic used to be good at crossing? I remember he used to be decent going forward
  6. Would have started Torres, typically does well against Vidic and he's been playing better than Eto'o who was a liability vs Liverpool. Knew Matic wouldn't start, but perhaps he should have, he's match fit and played (a little) in the PL before, could've dominated the midfield, especially with Januzaj at 10
  7. Would love us to sign him, but would hate to see Courtois moving the other way, if he has a release clause just pay that and let them have Courtois on loan for another year
  8. Mourinho's probably willing to use Essien at right back, especially with an extra player in defensive midfield, which leaves us 8 players for 4 positions. Ivanovic and Kalas can play right back and centreback, Luiz can cover leftback and Azpilicueta is good in both fullback positions. Hope it means Shaw is signing though
  9. Buffon? Can't see who we'd sign for £25m to eventually replace Cech that would be as good and as young as Courtois

  11. This game worries me, it's a game we should win - it's at home, Man Utd are shit right now, whilst we're starting to find some form. Hopefully Matic comes in to boss the midfield
  12. If he signs tomorrow will you think he'll play against Man U?
  13. n oway we can sign an injured player, if Gundogan leaves he'll likely go to Real anyway, we have no chance
  14. Ramires and Matic should work well together, Matic is good at keeping possession and still a strong defensive midfielder, Ramires is one of the best box to box midfielders and wont be replaced as first choice anytime soon. Half the players meant to be "deep-lying playmakers" (Toure, Fernandhino, Martinez) are no more so then Matic is, and the players like Alonso and Pirlo who are, are either too small/weak or unavailable.
  15. Is he refusing to play or are they just not playing him as the deal is close? Not sure I'm bothered by us re-signing someone for far more then we sold them, he's massively improved and the best available option. Although I don't want him to leave, selling De Bruyne for £18m and Matic for £21m would be good business and give us a much more balanced squad. Just got to hope Matic doesn't flop and De Bruyne doesn't become the next Ronaldo.
  16. Madrid bought back Carvajal this season, it happens more in Spain, although not that often as the players let go rarely improve enough to warrant being re-signed. Don't think its ever happened at Chelsea, but we haven't been in a position to sell players with high potential with the funds to buy them back for that long
  17. Can we get a buyback clause/first refusal if he is sold put into the deal
  18. Sounds like a nightmare, not that fifa care however embarrassing it is, as long as they get bribes. I'm don't even care much about the WC, just the massive disruption it will have on club football
  19. We we'd sign him, won't happen though- he won't come back to the Premier League
  20. So what happens to the domestic leagues? surely legally clubs can refuse to let their players go half way through a season? what legal power does FIFA have? Only reason it's their in the first place is because FIFA is corrupt and has been proven so, they pretty much do whatever they fucking want with no legal ramifications
  21. Toure's actually quite poorly suited to the pivot I think, the Toure-Fernandinho(who is better in that position) partnership has often been too attacking and left them open. Matic isn't as good going forward but he'd give us more cover defensively. Seems unfair to compare Matic to him, for his size his skillset is rare, plus only Matic is possible to sign
  22. yeah I was, he did improve Barca and has changed things at Bayern when they were already the best club side. Wouldn't surprise me if he ended up back at Barcelona at some point
  23. Pretty sure Inter fans remember that side. Guardiola's only ever had success managing the best club squads, Mourinho's actually built teams and had success with teams who weren't favorites. Xavi's probably bitter since he's past it and the Barcelona style of play, as good as it was at it's best, has become boring and superseded by a more exciting style
  24. Suprised more clubs including Man Utd didn't try to sign Nainggolan especially for 9m euros, proves decent players can be signed for a good price even in January
