  1. VO would have somewhat improved our team. We should not delude ourselves into thinking he is average. He is definitely better than Jackson but not a generational super striker you throw away your wage policy for.. with all these huge red flags on him I am somewhat relieved the club has not budged and gave in to his demands. sancho is a bit of a head scratcher. Can still be a good value for money deal but I don’t see how he is better and less of a risk than say chiesa who cost half. with so many right footed wingers at the club, we should try to use Nkunku as striker. He has played that before and I don’t think he is at his maximum efficiency as winger in Enzo‘s system. Nkunku is at his best in and around the box.
  2. I did not find KDH particularly bad in isolation. While He tried a lot of things and most did not come off, he is simply not a holding midfielder. So him next to Enzo, who also is as suspect defensively as he is offensively poor, was never gonna work. We will probably need one of Lavia/Caicedo on the pitch at all times but KDH will come in handy at some point. I am less sure about Jorgensen. What’s the point of him. His distribution is poor and wtf happened when he failed to save that weak header, did he slip?
  3. that must have been one of the worst Cf performances for this club ever even after witnessing sheva, Torres , broja and Lukaku. I really wonder why ppl thought he would be a tolerable back up striker going into the season. Jackson is already pushing it but when he came on it made such a difference after guiu did nothing but lose duels all game (for the third game in a row btw) . He needs a loan badly
  4. I like the first 10 but not sure they all would fit in. From the rest I think most are past it or would hardly be an upgrade. of the more realistic ones I think hincapie and hancko would do really well here. I would be willing to take the punt on Mancini and hermoso even though they have mostly played deep line, they are tactically smart enough to adapt
  5. This is probably clownlakes idea of an experienced player lol tbf he has looked quite decent and mature. He knows exactly how to play that inverted LB. Strong, quick, makes no fuss, keeps it simple. Not perfect today with a lot going through his side but had little help from mudryk and Badi
  6. Enzo is an overrated af average carthorse that can’t hold a midfield together but he is not at fault for us having no experience at CB and no proper GK. But Clownlake have made it clear they have no intention of fixing this
  7. Embarrassing. tbf that Swiss gk had the game of his life and we played with 10men basically. Guiu is shockingly bad. What is he supposed to provide? He can’t score, can’t hold up a ball, can’t pass, loses every duel That George fella also was abysmal to put it nicely. also who would have thought Jorgensen is shit? That’s right, everybody except clownlake. Statistically worst goalie in la Liga for a reason. His distribution which was what we bought him for is wayward at best we have by far the largest and worst group of goalkeepers in all European top leagues But the most disappointing is our momentum after that emphatic win is back to 0. At least an int break is coming up to reset.
  8. What I find most confusing is how Sancho is going to fit into Marescas system. He always drifts in early, never hugs the touch line . He even used to cut inside for Dortmund when playing on the right. He also has the tendency to ballhog just like Sterling
  9. 25m for antonio Silva? What are they smoking. Meanwhile we are rumoured to bid for his worse and older colleague Araujo…
  10. I hope you are right. What we know is that Osimhen has both, regular impact injuries and a dodgy skull that can refracture any day, possibly fatally so. His injury history on transfermarkt was one of the first i have seen that has multiple pages. Even at Wolfsburg where he was not a regular and only for a year he was constantly injured. one thing in his favour that he hardly gets credit for here is his work rate. He absolutely puts in a shift. Presses like mad, has a huge engine, puts his body on the line. If he does not score he still can wear down opposition defenders. He is a bit like Jackson but a bit more clinical, better shot, more of a warrior and better in the air. So if he stays fit and finds his best form again he will definitely improve us. These are big ifs tho. As long as he doesn’t throw his toys out like Rom I can’t see him being a total flop. At the same time I don’t see him consistently having 25+g seasons cos he just lacks that world class technique
  11. On the plus side, if we sign Osimhen, kaveh and sky sit there with egg on their face after running the Chelsea move for Toney stuff for hours. I see they have discreetly pushed it down their homepage while I am not a fan of signing Osimhen bc of afcon, injury, general fitness, skill level etc the dealbreaker for me will be his salary. I hope that if we do make that big move and pay him those insane wages it is heavily incentivized both on goals and overall title sucess. If we sign him we cant pretend to be the underdog with some young inexperienced team anymore. Plenty of the players are 24,25 approaching their prime. We have to finish top 4 and win one of the cups (at least the incompetence league)
  12. Then there is also the issue with VOs fractured skull that is ghetto-fixed with titanium plates and could refracture on contact any day bc he refuses to get surgery to get if fixed permanently. Since Torres I am never feeling comfortable again about a big money striker signing but this one has so many red flags with just a few redeeming attributes.
  13. My biggest fear when Maresca came was that we would play that weird, turgid, ponderous pass orgies we see from leicester but if the game vs wolves is anything to go by he wants us to play a lot more vertical and release the runners early after collective, coordinated movement has create the spaces. I really hope - and it sure does look like it - that many of the moves leading to the Madueke goals and the Felix one were indeed rehearsed with more to come. I do not expect us to be as clinical as yesterday every time from now on but having the excitement and optimism back is already worth a lot.
  14. I assume he wants us to compensate for the wage cut he is gonna take when switching clubs. He is basically forcing us to pay at least a portion of his remaining salaries outstanding on his contract before he agrees to leave. It’s an audacious move and I would be totally in favour of having him train with the kids until he accepts any bid
  15. There are rumorus among Liverpool fans that Mamardashvili indeed rejected us, even though I dont believe it. Even if so, there were far superior options avaialable compared to the dirty bunch we signed. Granted, Mamardashvili's distribution is not exactly elite but neither is Sanchez' who is not even a good shot stopper at the same time, nor does he control his area well. i really struggle to see whatever they saw in him. At this point I would even be fine with an okish goalkeepr like Ramsdale or Carnesecchi as we seem to be unable to land an absolute top class one.
  16. Rather have 2 world class ones than 6 average ones like we do. Surely they are gonna offload Alisson now sooner rather than later. I will never forgive clownlake for passing up on Mamar 3 windows in a row when he was there for the taking and signing petro, sanchez, penders, jorgensen for over 70m in the meantime.
  17. At this point I don’t think he will become better by playing for us. He needs thorough 1 on 1 coaching with focus on his decision making. Not even sure a loan will help if he is not properly coached over there. I guess he will need at least 1 or 2 more full years in a top league to have the basic understanding of the game down . Not sure we will grant him this time now we are stacked with better wingers
  18. Great game, parts of it a joy to watch. The finishing really clinical for most parts. Let’s hope it stays that way. Most of our 7+ attackers played, scored or assisted today which is the only way to keep them all happy. madueke turning up under pressure is a really good thing. We all knew what he is capable of but today he was under extra pressure with the socials post and all the new signings in his positions but he delivered. the other atttackers apart from mudryk showed their quality. Palmers goals obv quality but so was his perfectly timed and weighted passing. Netos run and first time cross was gorgeous making it really easy for Felix. It will be interesting cos today he was used as false 9 what his position will be. Definitely an interesting option and more useful than guiu Midfield and CBs/goalie obv are a worry still. We could have easily conceded more. Fofana and Sanchez are nervy and shaky af. caicedo Enzo must be one of the worst value for money double pivot partnerships in history. They were both terrible defensively, erratic on the ball. Caicedo with his customary turnover leading to goals, Enzo with his wayward passing and snail pace. Both are ultimately not good enough and only play bc of their ridiculous price tags. We should try a combination of lavia veiga/kdh over them.
  19. Sancho would be one of the daftest buys even for clownlakes standards. If there is one winger who does not fit Maresca style at all it’s him. Further we have so many Ams/wingers already who today look like they start clicking. No need to unsettle everybody straight away. Murillo is an alright player I guess but we need experience in CB. Wolves were really unlucky. We will continue to concede easy goals with the current CB lineup, esp with Sanchez in behind them. Colwill is probably just good enough but fofana still is a shadow . I would like to see Tosin next to Colwill for a few games but I am quite sure we won’t challenge for anything without getting more quality in at the back
  20. At least we don’t have to suffer through Enzo at no 10 from the start
  21. June 13 is just 2 weeks after this seasons CL final and well before next seasons preseason… not sure why one would refer to this as part of the 2025/26 season the point was however the physical and mental challenge for our current squad to likely to play around a record 70matches in a row. whether you call the cwc part of the current season or not is not really relevant as the challenge remains the same
  22. Guehi is good but 65m … probably better spent than on disasi, too bad even the Saudis run their club more smartly than clownlake do . at least we get the sell On fee Once more we bought a player at the career peak of his valuation after his wc cameo and will now need to sell him for peanuts. Expect the same will happen to Mudryk, fofana, Enzo, caicedo. Buy high sell low the mantra for clownlake
  23. This is last chance saloon for Felix. If he fails here again, his career is toast. He should be motivated and it looks like he is. Good luck.
  24. You sure? My latest info was it was being held between June 15 and July 13 2025 in the US. I hope I get a refund for the tickets then lol
  25. Seeing Felix take over the shirt number from Trev is honestly more sad than what happened to Conor. The latter at least got a good season representing the club, wearing the armband, then there was a disagreement with the contract so he now takes on a new interesting challenge. All parties win, no hard feelings. But Trev is just as much a blue, happily signed every contract handed to him, always gave it his all, got unlucky with injury, returned as our best CB only to be cut loose before there was even anyone asking, now has to hand over his modest shirt number to the 17th attacking mid we randomly signed, will now be sold for peanuts to join some boring mid table club to rescue his career
