Nah. Hazard might be too "complete" to become like messi. Face it: The only two thing sMessi is probably the best in the world is dribbling past defenders with close ball control and finishing from close range. Well that obviously suffices to make him "best player eva". But i want to extinguish some common myths about im: 1. "Messi is extremely fast": He has a very good acceleration and a decent sprint speed, but nothing more. A traditional (like to call them this way because they are actually that old-fashioned in their style, they almost only can run) British winger as Walcott, Lennon, Bale are waaaaaaaaaaay faster than Messi. In our squad I would say, Ramires, Bertrand, Studge, Hazard, Torres, Kakuta and maybe even Cahill are faster than Messi. In the CL-semis I saw Messi evading a sliding Challange from Cahill. Even though Messi run straight without changing direction, Cahill stood up, ran overturned messi and challenged him successfully. So cahill is at least faster without ball than messi is with ball. 2. "Messi is a great striker": Messi is actually not an areal threat, so he is no real no 9 in that sense. He also can do nothing with a ball that is played to him when he momentarily holds the striker position 3. "Messi is a great winger": Have you ever seen Messi putting in a decent cross: In my definiton of winger, they have to give some sort of service. 4. "Messi is the best footballer ever": Well I always thought defending would part of football, but in the aftermath of our victory over Barca, so said it would be anti-football so i have to change my mind... not. And Messi sucks at defending. poor positioning, poor retrieving, poor tackling. 5. "Messi is such a lovely, humble guy": Which lovely humble guy would make himself guilty of multiple assaults during only two matches gainst us, such as the push against lamps (which was actually so weak it put lampard rather 10cm towards messi) 6. "Messi is the greatest player ever": Really he is? who can tell? he probably is the best at what he does, but can u really compare a best player of messi's style to the best CB or the best GK?

a baseball field is usually a bit longer than a football field. So I would not worry that much. Anyway, unlike in other things, the length of a football pitch is not that important, the width is much more significant IMO. I just wonder where teh pitch is to be put as one would have to demolish the base if u were to put it close enough to the major stands.

Very much lookin forward to this game and PSG as a new opponent as well. We might not face Silva and Ibra but still we will face a decent side, way ahead of us in terms of fitness adn experience (atleast when a team full of youngsters stars for us again). Even though its not competitive a clash beetween the established Elite and the newly-rich aspirators is always thrilling. "world football challenge" might be th mother of overstatings for a summer tournament title, but it is still quite unfair that all participants have a different number of games with Real madrid having 4 consecutive matches alter in the tournament as it would be a nice title to kick the season off for everyone. Last time we won it, we won ze double afterwards.

Jason Steele might look like Simon Pegg but did not do to much to make one smile.

Neymar has won absolutely nothing in his career, Who does he think he is? By now he is only a talented hype but nothing more.
-
Neymar is such a retarded bastard. Slight contact and he simply stays down 2 minutes and forces the play to halt for nothing. Superfluous cunt Hulk vs Richards, battle of under 6 foot body-builders. hulk wins the penalty

Is there actually an own thread for Team GB and the Olympics football tournament? And why the heck is Psycho coaching the Team?
-
so its still a Hulk vs Oscarfor me today. I'm afraid, Team GB is so fuckin inferior. Never even heard of that Allen guy, taylor , Steele or Tomkins. Bertrand as RB is a crime. Brazil are huge favourits. Team GB squad also weakened by the inclusion of Random N. irish and Scoltand players. AS for TEam GB a Team England+Wales would have sufficed. Would be interesting to see a Team Commonwealth eventually which probably lead to a England+Ghana+Bale. Could be a punchy troop.

Still very young, 19 years 2nd French league is not the worst. On the other hand, hate to see the club being manipulated in its signings by Eden. Player power is far too big here. Might have been beneficial in times of characters such as Petr, JT, Drogs and Lamps but that was due to them being special characters, cant see that being the same with Hazard, Mata, Torres
-
According to that Player comparison, Azpi is a slight upgrade to Bosingwa, but 7 years younger. Would probably, if successfull, solve our RB problem for years to come. as for our squad, the RB position, think we can all agree upon needs s.o. like him to bcovered in number. Iva can still play the big games there, with azpi registering 30+ appearences (incl. sub). Our Squad does not even need Oscar at all, due to the abundance of playmakers. Much more important is a right winger, who actually IS a right winger such as Hulk, Walcott or Moses and not only CAN play there like Marin, Kakuta or Hazard.
-
He surely will, unless he proves his worth in preseason. Can't have Hulk before Brazil are out of the Olympics anyway, so why not wait the preseason. IMO Lukaku has proved to be a decent 2nd or 3rd Striker
-
Yes they are, but your lineup looks a little offensive, esp as Oscar is a number 10 as is Mata. we should either play 4-2-3-1 -------------Torres------------ Hazard----Mata------NEW RW/Ramires --------Lamps-Mikel---------------- or 4-3-3 ------------Torres------------ Hazard-----------------New RW ---Lamps----------Rami -------------Mikel------------- which can also be a Christmas tree with Mata instead of the new RW. I am completely against using mata as a winger as he drift into CAm all the time so we never use the space on his side. Additionally he is far too slow to operate as a winger in the EPL.The problem is, he is not only generally slow but is slower than an average athlete such as en EPL defender. he might go past them with his skill moves but they will overturn him a sec later. In Germany countless of technically outstanding prospects are snubbed because they simply are not fast enough. Lampard already is slow but has a half-decent pace after 15 yards but he is 10 years older than Mata who has neither acceleration nor is a good runner whilst he is at his natural physical peak. When u are that slow at your peak, how bad will it eventually become? The second and about last weakness is his effectively not existent right food whose only function is preventing him from falling over. The absence of pace and an available right food are geat handicaps for a winger. AS he can only either go in or outside depending on the side he is used and not really overrun anyone to get him and his teammates space. He might have succesfully compensated that being more of a playmaker as whcih he is excellent at but why not giving him that position directly instead of wasting a position? I

really cant blame a striker as long as he scores goals.
-
little Marko embracing the about 5 times as big Lukaku one of my fav pics as of here. As for me, de Bruyne is a number 10. had the opportunity to talk to some belgians last week, they said, de bruynes pace might be enough in belgium but in the epl he is not much faster as a good defender. On the other hand his passing and shootinga bility allows him to shape a game from cm or cam. just wonder that would make hazard, mata, oscar, de bruyne one or two number 10s to many. Dont expect josh, kakuta AND de Bruyne being loaned out. Even taht would only delay the overkill. Did not remember Hutchinson that explosive in his acceleration

Marin gets his goal, even though he always does the same, atleast our new boys know how to use deflections. Little undeserved lead. Hope we can keep it until we are redeemed of benayoun adn hilario
-
McEachran and Mikel are below par atm. That's why our ball retention is so crap. Also Ferreira has not really kept his side tidy. All this side offers is the pace of the offense line bar benayoun who has been crap, too.
-
hilarios positioning is about as poor as Scotland before civilization was brought there.
-
nah. Can Understand him. Benayoun returned and had nothing better to do than wanking about with his Arsenal experience. No Chelsea fan gives a shit about how he enjoyed his time in the barbarian north with Arses bunch of kids.
-
our build up play misses Lamps badly. Marin really wants the goal. We are actually quite good at accelerating attack now, unfortunately why seldom get teh chance
-
mceachran with rather costly error. A better keeper than hilario would probably kept it out
-
don't know, who has told Hazard to think of himself being a number 10. Rather play a winger as seen with this goal
-
very much a B-side Kit looks great lukaku demonstrates what an extraordinary physical specimen he is and opens the scoring, brilliant assist and finish
-
Those punters are usually as clueless as we are. The deal seems dead, but no one is certain about that. Since there are only a few clubs n for hulk with us being the only probable destination, its a matter of evaluation of wether he leaves or not. Offering attractive odds in such a scenario is always very risky for the bookie.
-
Don't fit his style, not experienced enough....I don't care for the excuses. the mere fact that you have to defend him with excuses is because he is simply not as good (yet) as he is hyped to be in this forum, that was the only thing i wannted to point out, thank you for substantiating it.
