  1. Well... that was a bit awkward but kudos Drogba once again, another nice title to have.
  2. btw. Giorgios Karagounis, Jason Culina, Dudu, Royston Drenthe, Juan Roman Riquelme, Owen Hargreaves, Thomas The Hammer Hitzelsperger, Tim Borowski, Mehmet Aurelio, nIgel Reo-cocker and Owen Hargreaves are all free. There is experience and well "quality" in abundance in the free agent market these times. Would be fun to have some Riquelme magic, hammers or Dudu tackles in the Capital One Cup
  3. think so Imagine what a fairytale it would be for him to return and win the title that has evaded him for all his career
  4. Yo with Raul Moreorless more than less off to Istanbul, it could get a bit holey in midfield, considering Lamps age, Mikel going to Africa in winter, Romeu not known for his consistency. Michael Ballack is probably closest to a deep-lying midfielder we can get and has played some good games for Leverkusen last season. His break with them was rather due to their coach having lost it rather than Ballack's inability. Never really liked him here until he settled into his deeper role. He is a fairly nice guy so why not invite him to a trial and see how fit he is? I only worry about his mobility as he is a pretty big guy, too, but even though our youth policy we could use a bit of his experience and heading abilites esp. IMO he left us too early.
  5. So this guy decided to carry his career to grave, his decision
  6. sounds rather offensive and even asymetric... why not ramy-lamps ---Mikel-- ?? A midfield of ---Mikel/romeu rami---Mata/Oscar simply would get overrun due to its physical weakness
  7. yeah i hope so, but I just don't get why Meireles departure means a 4-3-3?
  8. Romeu offers something, no one else in our squad does. As a graduate of La Masia he's comfortable in narrow spaces and takes his decisions right away. hence he is able to accelerate play. Additionally he has this bloodhound attitude adn chases opponents when play goes backwords, he is glad to slide tackle and has this aggressiveness we miss with Mikel. He might not be a brillant player yet but he complements Mikel better than Lamps does.
  9. is it official? Whilst I consider the romoured fee of 8m € as far too low, considering he cost 13,5m € and is still of decent age, it would simply be a trademark blunder by our board to reduce our midfield to 5 men for at least half a season. To add Oscar is an unparalleled weakling, i doubt he would be a reliable no6 or 8. @Leif: I feel so, too. But why did we shed out Essien in the first place, when we knew Meireles would go?
  10. I cannot imagine any combination of our CMs that would make a decent double pivot. Maybe Romeu + Mikel come closest, as they both are defensive midfielders at least. We have to revert to 4-3-3 with a mikel-rami-lamps midfield FFS
  11. And still he was good enough to win us the CL...AND SO IS LAMPARD
  12. Cech Azpi - Cahill - Terry - Bertrand Mikel - Romeu Moses - Oscar - Hazard Sturridge would like this -slightly experimental- side, the young boys are surely raring to go. Also don't know why we play Romeu so seldom, he is our most mobile DM. I would never use him in big matches but he does his job more often than not. Mata looks as he'd rather have more than 2 weeks break and Torres did close to nothing recently, Sturridge deserves his chance up front, if he does nothing like scoring or creating, alright bench him again.
  13. ManU even can't play football, they simply are effective and score goals. They got nothing right except of some crosses but that suffices.
  14. it was clear from the very beginning, but every time one refuses to give up hope.
  15. southampton are the epitome of likeable losers, passionate and gutsy in their play but always fuck it up in the end.
  16. play goes on until manU wins. why no one picks van persie up?
  17. lol Bayern just scored 6 goals within 19 minutes. hate them, but bundesliga sides are making it very easy to them. Hate that league, its so un-competitive
  18. The usual referee's help is everything ManU got against a technically and footballing-wise far superior Southampton side. I start watching non-chelsea matches just because of the gutsy approach of Southampton
  19. International football is the most friggin invention since water-proof teabags. Who tf needs those corrupt UEFA/FIFA-shite? Platini and Blatter would be ridiculus as Lukas Podolski's English if they would not destroy our football. Hope our players do not get used that much, so they are fresh to wreck QPR once again.
  20. That post is a JOKE. If I remember it right, i think it was May 19, a certain guy... I think his name was something with D....Didier Drogba, he also was 33,no 34 yrs old got his team the most important trophy in football, am I right?
  21. FUCK. its ramires on the wing then, RDM should know that this does not work by now. Hazard and Mata suffice on the wings
  22. This deadline day will make the gap between EPL and PD open up again
