We are auch an embarrassment
-
Felix showcasing his tidy footwork at least
-
Lewis hall is a terrible finisher like most of our youth and senior players
-
All to no avail great performance from saints yet pathetic from city. They really only raise their game for us atm it feels
-
I wish... that would mean there would at least be a purpose. But I fear it is just utter stupidity from both clubs if they buy him back from us. but I can't imagine they will. Barca were hitting the crackpipe in the transfer market for the past few years, now they have apparently passed it to us, to repeat their mistakes.
-
I heard on of the commentators in the City game report that the physios and doctors TB brought in to replace our previous medical staff apparently have no experience in treating professional athletes and rather have a reputation of being celebrity docs in the US. I have not verified that yet but it fits the overall picture of incompetence.

I never heard anything contrary about him. He was very well respected at Dortmund, learned the language, was integrated in the community and even after his tranfer became public he performed at his highest level. I am sad it did not work out for him here and could totally see him prevail in a less physically demanding league. Maybe Italy or outside Europe.

I agree, maybe i was too harsh on their talent. Then again, I don't think they were ever good enough for a top team to be built around them. But this turn away from the classic no.10 in the modern game is also the reason Felix is guaranteed to fail here. I pray he succeeds, he appears to be a nice enough lad and at least content to be here, embrace the challenge, which is more than what we got from Auba or Lukaku. What we need from him is to create chances, I doubt he will be much of a finisher. Not bc he can't score, he is more clinicalthan Kai for sure, but bche will barelybe found in those positions when no one else can create for them.

Not sure. Trippier, Burn, Targett and Woods are absolute pants and not exaclty young either. Imagine we had signed those players, the meltdown here would be unreal. They only struck gold with Guimaraes On paper they are still way worse than us when everyone is fit, their squad is worth about half of ours. But they somehow built a real team spirit and great buzz around them, so everyone plays out of their skin. They also did not lose their pace and their leaders in one window
-
If he had not scored those 2 crazy goals vs bayer and not make that 120m move, we would never have signed bc no one would give shit about him. He is one of those players like James Rodriguez or Coutinho who has built an entire career on a short string of decent games but in fact is an incredibly frustrating, limited and ultimately average player.
-
Felix is such a waste. Literally the same player Havertz is, overrated, weak and equally useless in front of goal. Heard he has more yellow cards than assists in his career. Our problem is creating and scoring chances. Now ppl think we can solve this by signing a player who never has had more than 5 assists in a season.

Leeds will sign giorginio Rutter from TSG for 35m. He is absolutely useless and not even a starter for Hoffenheim. Things are going mad over here.
-
false 9 is a hoax mostly. Kai was alright for a time bc he played like a proper striker. Firmino dropped into midfield at times like Kane does but is by trade also a striker. More recently Liverpool have gone back to a classic no.9 in Darwin. the problem with Lukaku was that he wanted to play more facing goal and not like a classic target man. And Auba is just shit. Only prime Barcelona and spain were able to successfully and consistently employ a false no.9. But these times are long over. The most successful teams use proper strikers, Bayern had Lewa, now they look much worse without him, Barca are improved, City failed to win CL without a proper striker for years now they are gonna win it with Haaland, Real have their most important player in Benzema. False 9 is dead. But Felix is not good enough anyway. This is once more a desperate shotgun aim of a transfer, another failure in the making by an incompetent board advised by a manager out of his depth.
-
Felix? wtf we have that exact same player type over and over. We need a proper CF and RB not another lame attacker who can't run fast and only scores a goal every blue moon.

Ppl are talking about Arteta if he was the 2nd coming of Beckenbauer. But as of yet, Arsenal have not won anything this season and still have a ton of tough features ahead with a paper thin squad. If they fk this up, ppl will be talking of how naive they were to go into such a hectic season without any depth. That does not excuse Potter from not having any impact whatsoever on the team. Apart from a short winning streak in fall, we have seen our football and results deteriorate. I see absolutely nothing in terms of footballing ideas nor injecting our team with a bit of fighting spirit. The team is like a bunch of zombies just passing the ball around and alibi-running after opposition players, praying for the final whistle. Obviously our club has deepr lying issues than coach and management, which have been addressed a million times. But from all the huffing and puffing about long term vision for the future our owner supposedly have we have seen 0. And that is why I see absolutely no reason to back Potter for a long term stay here. Niether has he said no executed anything resembling a long term plan. We have seen our anyway terrible players shoved from one position to the next and that's pretty much it. Even with Lampard or Sarri there was a clear idea of what the long term plan of our football to like was albeit the progress was probably too slow. Under Conte and Tuchel, there was always a plan being executed, albeit sometimes this plan being extremely destructive, reactive football which our players often sucked at executing but again the idea was clear. I see nothing here under Potter nor of how Boehly is gonna steer us in the right direction. Just a bunch of amateurs at the helm and a mediocre coach on the sidelines and out of his depth.

They are both terrible still and should never be atthis club. To think we spent 130m on those two freeriders makes me wanna break something.
-
He is good defensively and looked great vs Vini but Fresneda has never scored it assisted a goal on any senior level ever in his life. He would help us 0 atm.
-
This. It’s impossible to overlook. We have lost 5-7 possible starters. A loss this grave would blunt city and wreck every other team in the league. None is missing this many key players atm. One can argue we should have better back ups lined up with the money we spent but to say there is no injury crisis impeding us big time is just nonsense
-
Yesterday we saw for the first time since his debut what I remember him being like in Bundesliga. A dogged defensive presence with the athleticism and ball carrying ability to break through lines. In this hectic Match he was equal to the pace of the league for the first time I genuinely hope he can hold this level and make himself a viable option for us long term.
-
Such sad news what a player, coach and absolute gent he was. he was one of the first who put Chelsea on a map of the great European clubs of our time Those 4 titles he won with us were huge His family friends and fans hopefully can take solace that he lived he rich life, won it all and gave it it everything he had. Rip Luca
-
Frimpong would fit us nicely, as would Maehle and Dumfries. Also a new right back would not come as RJ back up. With how injury prone RJ is, the new guy would probably be our starter most games and worst case share minutes equally. Btw Malo Gusto - bad taste? what a crazy name 😄
-
When you watch us play we look exactly like the position we are in, like a bottom 8 team. No clear gameplan, little movement, no precision, no belief. With a bit of conviction we could have easily at least grabbed a goal today. Maybe City would have the upped the tempo and scored a few but we look scared to score.
-
Yeah he was a shit signing. Don't see anything in him. His good performances vs us and ManUre last season were probably flukes. No wonder his career in the Spanish NT ended after one game.
-
I think many of our players really showed decent attitude today, even Cucu, esp Conor and Chucky but they are just not good enough. Those next few years will probably the hardest ever for most us during our time as Chelsea fans. Club is overall in the worst situation in the last 30 or 40 years. While I do think Potter is meh, does not have the answers and TT would probably have done better results wise, the problems of this club lay way deeper. Some new came with the cluelessness of the new ownership but many have been piled by poor squad planning and contract management of the previous administration as well as the crippling sanctions.
-
He is absolute dogshit but i doubt we will just terminate his contract. At least can be a backup to make up the numbers in some games. maybe teach the u23 a thing or too, like how to handle a hairline that starts at the back of your head.
