Yup but so is noni i hope Ziyech comes off soon anyway he is almost useless
-
Obv both, Ziyech and Mudryk were crap and should be taken off but why tf didnt he put on Noni on the right?

Raya is an absolute no for me. Not just bc he is tiny he is a yolo goalkeeper like Willy caballero. Capable of wc saves and of brutal errors every week. i remember some CC games from him where he was literally flying horizontally across the box all game and missed the ball every other time . He may have matured but he still has that madness inside him plus he is a highly dependent on his volatile confidence just like Kepa. You don’t want that, it strikes panic into every defence. Kepa is a nice guy but you want an arrogant selfish obnoxious mf like Neuer or Courtois whose belief in themselves can not be shaken even by the most comical errors. Both left brutal nutmegs and own goals swiftly behind them to become the absolute best shortly later. When Kepa or Raya make a mistake it propels them into a vicious circle of self doubt, self destruction and even more howlers.

Probably. At least when carrying the ball. Enzo is physically stronger, better defensively, better vision and passing range tho. I think overall Enzo is the better fit for us. Not sure de jong would b e good solution for the pivot in PL.
-
we'd better. With Broja injured and Auba useless & frozen out he is basically our only real striker atm. Really hope to see more of him. Summer and next season will be insane. We need a massive clearout of attackers. Can't see Felix and Kai staying for that reason. Even in midfield it will get cozy if we switch to 4-2-3-1 permanently, only two slots. Probably Enzo and Kovacic nailed on starters if no more incomings.
-
wow... did not expect us to make it. What a squad we have now. If only we had not trashed all that money on junk players in summer we would have the best squad in the league.
-
Sabitzer to ManUre is another ridiculous deal. Stealing a living for years now. Bang average player. BAyern only got him to weaken RB but never really used him properly. Don't see making an impact.
-
de Paul pretty much did the dirty work for Enzo in the WC. Insane pensum.
-
I see it the same way. Financially sound to get rid of a players with little left to offer a few months early with a nice sum on top is smart busines. Some ppl act like he is gonna fire Arsenal to the PL title on his own. I mean come on. They worked that 8 pt gap without him. If they are gonna somehow stage an epic collapse how is Jorginho gonna prevent it? We lost so many leads with him on the pitch, its comical. If they are gonna give that title up it will be bc of losing the big games, esp the city games. What good will Jorginho do them there chasing after the ball in his trademark slow motion? the only thing I will miss is his pen conversion rate. Watch us suddenly miss those
-
Well some might argue he is still right about Jorgi. can’t blame the guy. won’t have a better shot at PL anytime soon and is in the twilight years already. Had his perks, never been much of fan but no hard feelings now he’s Gone. Clearly short of legend status tho

Isco going to Kiezclub Union Berlin (basically the St Pauli of Berlin) would have been a deal for the ages. No affinity to either here but what a story this would have made. No idea what happened but rumour is Isco upped his demands just before the Medical… maybe the state of clubs facilities deterred him.
-
Yeah ofc fabrizio keeps beating a dead horse to maintain attention if the bbc of Portugal have confirmed him staying, he most probably will. Exactly bc public TV is a scam legally defrauding millions of ppl they have to be reliable otherwise even more questions will be raised about their legitimacy
-
Yup he is in Munich doing his medical. Absolutely baffling deal How on earth can Bayern always secure such favourable conditions and why the heck would Pep give up Cancelo ? Will significantly weaken their PL and CL bids
-
Very good signing and decent business pulling the trigger early. We might well have the two best RBs in the world at some point in the future. Tbh have not seen that much of the guy live but in his every touch vids he looks very comfortable in defence&offense even vs teams like PSG at just 19.
-
Or Zakaria. If we can keep him fit, he would be a bargain. Sadly we have no reason to be confident in our medical department. agree. we have been throwing money at this position forever now. we should look at developing a CF on our own and get a cheap&experienced back up like we had with Giroud. This way there is not the pressure of a big money signing around and the young one is not forced to deliver every week when he has an experienced back up and mentor. The latter is obviously not Aubameyang cos his attitude is shit and his pace has gone but in general the idea was probably the right one. Maybe we could snap up Firmino on a free in summer.

Will probably get crucified for it on here but I can not see for the life of me how Caicedo is a 65m+ player. He does the basic things right, has a nice tenacity about him but that is it. He doesn't score goals, does not create unusually many chances for a dm/cm or any other additional qualities. I do not see the anticipation and spacial awareness that make Kante so unique. Caicedo may have the physical tools but not the intelligence and super quick mind of Kante or makelele to really read the game in advance and pounce on even the slightest opposition miscontrols or imprecise movements. I have been ok with most of winter signigns even if we overpaid by varying degrees... but this Caicedo chap painfully looks like flavour of the month to me. Because Ziyech is the most Sean Dyche player ever lol. Would be thrilled if we can offload him but strongly doubt he will agree.
-
Apparently Skriniar will go to PSG for 15mio. Wonder if we could just try to swap him for koulibaly with itner... but probably not. We gave that donkey waaay too high wages, no one will take him off us. He will rot here draining our cash just like that other donkey Lukaku
-
Everton selling their biggest asset in the middle of the season probably means they need the cash, have given up on survival and have some clauses in their contracts which would make them miss out on a bigger trasnfer fee in case they get relegated. Their other decent players like DCL or maybe Onana would be up for grabs in summer for sure then.

what a shit deal given inflation. 40m was hardly a tall order and we let them split it. Poor business.

Opinion: Ziyech has improved, but rebuild means he has to go
Magic Lamps replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
This is absolute bullshit. It has nothing to do with Ziyech being African. I have admired African players at Chelsea and in general most of my life and so do many Chelsea fans. Drogba is obviously one of my favourite players ever. He has a banner and a song at Stamford Bridge, was voted among our greatest ever players. Mikel too has a banner that has occasionally been flaunted. Michael Essien has been voted among our legends as well. How can you say there has been nothing but abuse? Moreover, never have I said a bad word about Kalou or Mikel. Both a revered cult heros among Chelsea fans. Mendy I have defended even over months of bad form cos he had been instrumental for our CL run. Many of our players who are European by nationality have families with African roots. Chelsea as we know it today would not be the same without African players this is clear to me and to 99% of all Chelsea fans. Ziyech being a poor excuse of a player has nothing to do with that. Ziyech is just pants, same as Koulibaly btw. Both are just not good enough, which is in stark contrast to many great African players we had the honor to have at our club in the past. I stand by that. -
It is somewhat like that. If we indeed were to make use of the b.o. we would need to give Enzo the full amount, 160m for him to pay off Benfica. From what I have heard, taxes on transfer fees in Spain and Portugal only apply on b.o. clause deals. Now there is a gentlemen's agreement between clubs to settle deals pertaining buy out clauses at just under the full amount, like 119 999 999 in this case so the tax does not apply. Unfortunately,a we might possibly have pissed off Benfica so much they would not abide with the unwritten agreement and insist on the formal process.
-
That's maybe taking it a little far but he is a legend already that is for sure...having him at our club is an absolute honour. If you ask me, Thiago can just stay here as long as he wants. he is no one to throw a fit if he does not play, so just have him training with the squad, sharing his wisdom is worth millions. We must do everything to keep him at the club even after his retirement, best give him a job as defense coach
-
Definitely... not seen much of Mr Beans (fagioli) but Cacqueret is pants. Not that optimistic on Enzo. The club apparently still wants to negotiate but it is clear wehave annoyed Benfica enough to not make go lower on the release clause. It is about pride for them now. As for Malo Gusto I can see us hanging in there and in the end getting the deal done. Purportedly, Lyon are asking for around 35m - twice his market value - which we could easily pay in an instant. But I think we are getting more methodical, professional and unrelenting in negotiations after those statement captures. Which is ironic as arguably a back up RB is our most urgend need.

Opinion: Ziyech has improved, but rebuild means he has to go
Magic Lamps replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Improvement … well there was little room in the other direction. He is a super limited player. Absolutely useless in most PL games due to his complete lack of pace and strength he can almost never work it into his decent left foot so his one great attribute never really comes to shine. Signing him was a complete miscalculation of how a player of his calibre could ever possibly fit here. Also has a terrible attitude. Unfit to wear the shirt. Can’t wait to be rid of him -
Great choice of exercises for speed, explosiveness and overall athleticism. Looks like 140kg hip thrust for reps and almost a full Nordic curl which is proven to make the hamstring super resilient. Also the lateral kettlebell carry is amazing for dynamic trunk control.
